The Behemoth is ComingWhen Lin Yuan received another lawyer’s letter from Good Group, he could barely suppress the smile on his face.

Zhang Yan watched him from the side with a look of disdain, ”Look at how many zeros are in the liquidated damages demanded. How can you still be smiling?”

Good Group actually demanded over 18 million in liquidated damages from Lin Yuan, citing the leakage of trade secrets.

”I just don’t understand,” Lin Yuan said with a helpless expression, ”Why don’t these companies understand treating people equally?”

”Can you stop being so mysterious? Where’s your trump card? Once it enters litigation, it’ll be troublesome to withdraw.”

Lin Yuan silently opened Weibo.

Musk’s long-dormant Weibo had a new post: ”2025 Tesla’s latest investment plan—10 billion prepared to enter the food delivery industry.”

Zhang Yan snatched Lin Yuan’s phone, looking disbelievingly at the post’s timestamp—one minute ago.

”You did this on purpose, didn’t you? You and that guy already made arrangements, right?”

Lin Yuan being able to open Musk’s Weibo precisely on time and knowing that he would release explosive news clearly indicated a prior agreement.

Facing Zhang Yan’s cold expression, Lin Yuan shrugged, ”Sorry. This was a special request from Elon. He said: business must have business rules, and he wouldn’t even tell his mother such critical information.”

Lin Yuan was, of course, referring to the explosive news that Tesla was confirmed to enter the food delivery industry.

Although Lin Yuan trusted Zhang Yan absolutely, after a little ’education’ from Musk, he decided to emulate him.

Musk has robot-like behavioral guidelines and demands that his partners adhere to them.

Lin Yuan, seeing a worthy example, did not inform Zhang Yan in advance.

”Senior, you’ve gone too far this time.”

”So I apologize to you.”

”But I see no remorse in your expression at all. I guess you’ll do this again in the future.”

”Yes, I will apologize to you every time I do this in the future.”

”Don’t you think you’re shameless?”

”Yan Yan, I can trust you unconditionally, but my partners cannot. Similarly, putting myself in their shoes, I wouldn’t want my partners to be bigmouths. In Elon’s words, this is the rule.”

”Alright. Congratulations on taking a crucial step.” Zhang Yan was still happy for Lin Yuan, ”So now you can tell me your plan, right? Look at you, calling him ’Elon, Elon’ so intimately. Are you sure you haven’t been conned by Musk?”

Lin Yuan laughed, ”I believe Elon wouldn’t be bored enough to con me. As for my plan, entering the food delivery industry, for me, is a realization of my ideals and ambitions. For Elon, it’s about gaining both fame and fortune.”

”Elon doesn’t care about this little profit; he doesn’t look down on the profit from food delivery, after all, Tesla’s market value is over 1.2 trillion US dollars. That’s more than ten times the entire Good Group combined, and food delivery is only one part of Good Group’s business.”

”So Good Group Waimai, this giant in the food delivery industry, its true market value is only about 5-6% of Tesla’s total market value.”

”Elon said all the investment returns this time would be given to me,” Lin Yuan said, spreading his hands, ”It’s quite helpless, but I’m just going to become a millionaire with a net worth over 100 million like this.”

”I suddenly feel like making money is so easy.”

”Get lost!” Zhang Yan said, annoyed, ”Why would the other party help you? What does he gain?”

”Perhaps it’s a mutual appreciation. I promised him that the food delivery industry is just a stage, and the real show is his OpenAI. I agreed to cooperate with his OpenAI. The money from food delivery goes to me, and the money from AI goes to him.”

Zhang Yan finally understood, ”But, Senior, why would you cooperate with an overseas company? Aren’t you helping an enemy country?”

Lin Yuan laughed, ”Look at the Tesla Gigafactory in Shanghai; it accounts for half of Tesla’s global production capacity. Is that also helping an enemy country?”

”Globalization is beneficial to our country.”

”We should cooperate more with pure businessmen like Elon.”

”Look how good he is. He doesn’t do anything superficial; he just wants to make some money and play with rockets. He also won’t casually point fingers at us and scold us for not being free.”

”He even helped us build up the entire electric vehicle supply chain.”

”We and Elon still have many areas where we can cooperate.”

”In Elon’s original words: he is only interested in business.”

”Coincidentally, what we Dragon Country people like most is making a little money.”

Zhang Yan said faintly, ”You’re very dangerous like this.”

”Dangerous? Elon has met all the elders. If this continues, he might well become an ’old friend of the Dragon Country people’ in the future.”

”Really?”

”It’s very possible. Maybe Elon can facilitate reconciliation between the Eagle Country’s tech industry and ours in the future. After all, our system has an advantage in manufacturing, while their system is inherently suitable for high-precision and cutting-edge fields.”

”Why?”

”Because they are shameless.”

”Huh?”

”They are an immigrant country. They can do whatever it takes to attract talent without scruples. They can have homeless people all over the streets while issuing H1B visas to high-end immigrants. Can you imagine if something like this happened in our country?”

Zhang Yan thought carefully for a while, ”That’s true. Their humanitarian burden is indeed much smaller. No, they don’t have a humanitarian burden at all.”

”Bingo! Their way of doing things is simple and crude. The useful ones are Eagle Country people; the useless ones are trash waiting to be recycled. As long as their attraction to high-end talent is not broken, we will always struggle to truly catch up with them in high-precision fields.”

”Of course, in areas involving national defense, we have a systemic advantage.”

”But when it comes to market-oriented products, it’s over. Although we are trying hard to catch up, look at which milestone industrial products were created by us.”

”Even electric vehicles had to rely on Tesla, this ’catfish,’ to achieve the current blooming.”

Zhang Yan wanted to refute, but she quickly found no arguments. Because so many students from Tsinghua and Peking University go abroad every year, what can be said in the face of facts?

It’s easy to criticize students from Tsinghua and Peking University who stay abroad, but people are ultimately economic animals. Why don’t so many students from Tsinghua and Peking University come back? It’s simply because the jobs they find back home are not as good as those abroad.

Lin Yuan continued, ”We don’t need to belittle ourselves. For the employment of the vast majority of people, we must firmly hold onto manufacturing. The biggest reason I want to rectify the food delivery industry is also because of this.”

”Why do the merchants and delivery riderss who actually provide services have no say in the entire food delivery industry?”

”I can’t stand the new landlords of the internet era who brazenly reap profits by monopolizing information.”

”I know that policy cannot intervene, so I can only emulate the electric vehicle sector back then and bring Tesla in to be a ’catfish’ again.”

Zhang Yan finally noticed a subtle difference in Lin Yuan, ”Senior, you seem to have changed. You’ve become more radiant.”

Soon after Good Group sent a lawyer’s letter to Lin Yuan, explosive news topped the world’s social media platforms—the esteemed Minister of Efficiency decided to enter the Dragon Country’s food delivery industry; Tesla was going to do high-end food delivery.

Both Good Group and Lanbiao Factory were stunned.

How could they have expected that a behemoth like Tesla would set its sights on the food delivery industry?

With their market value, they were like small cats standing in front of an elephant compared to Tesla.

Good Group finally had no mind to deal with Lin Yuan anymore.
