Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

He glanced at the two of them again.

The girl in the red dress immediately responded, ”We have something to do, so we’ll be leaving first. You two go ahead...go ahead!”

Saying that, they both glanced at Lu Zhining and then hurried out of the reading room.

Zhang Jingdong watched the door close, then turned back to Lu Zhining.

He said, boasting as if seeking credit, ”Senior, mission accomplished!”

Lu Zhining finally turned around and glared at Zhang Jingdong angrily, ”They definitely saw just now. You...you get out, I never want to see you again!”

Zhang Jingdong laughed cheekily, ”Senior, you’re being too arrogant now!”

”Even though they know me, they don’t necessarily know you, and I was blocking you just now. They definitely didn’t recognize you!”

”Well...well, you still shouldn’t have been so outrageous here...here!”

”Okay, okay...I won’t be outrageous. I’ll just quietly keep you company and read without taking advantage of you!”

Lu Zhining’s expression softened a bit.

She glared at Zhang Jingdong again, then returned to her seat.

Zhang Jingdong deliberately didn’t sit next to her but chose a spot two rows behind her.

He started admiring her beautiful silhouette on his own.

But in less than ten minutes, Lu Zhining couldn’t take it anymore.

She turned her head and said coquettishly, ”What...are you doing?”

Zhang Jingdong shrugged innocently, ”I’m not doing anything. You didn’t want me to disturb you reading, so now I won’t bother you, right?”

”With you like this, I can’t concentrate at all!”

”Why?”

”Why do you think?”

”I wouldn’t know!”

”You’re doing it on purpose, you’re so annoying!”

Zhang Jingdong burst into laughter and walked over to her.

”Senior, your heart’s unsettled, right? Is there a monkey inside your heart running around?”

Lu Zhining was immediately amused, ”Yes, there’s a monkey, and it’s a naughty monkey!”

Zhang Jingdong chuckled, ”Senior, you don’t understand. Bad monkeys have a bright future. Sun Wukong was a naughty monkey at first who became the Great Sage Equalling Heaven after winning the heart of Zixia Fairy.”

”Shows you how a beautiful romance can really boost a person’s career!”

Lu Zhining was momentarily stunned, then rolled her eyes at him, ”What are you talking about? That makes no sense at all.”

Zhang Jingdong laughed, ”Senior, since you can’t read now, how about we play a storytelling game?”

”Storytelling game? What’s that?”

”It’s simple. As the name suggests, I say a sentence, then you follow with another, and in the end, all these sentences can link together to form an interesting story.”

”How about it, understand? This game is quite hard because every sentence that follows must be logical. Want to try?”

”...Okay.”

Zhang Jingdong then stared at her lips, ”But let’s set the rules first. If someone can’t follow or says something illogical, they lose and must be punished. Is that okay?”

Lu Zhining instantly sensed something amiss and hesitated, ”Let me think about it!”

Zhang Jingdong immediately laughed, ”What, are you scared already, Senior? You are quite cautious!”

Lu Zhining pressed her lips, ”I’m playing it safe! You’re so cunning, I need to guard against falling into your trap.”

”Well, just a friendly reminder, the more you guard against me, the more likely you are to fall for it. I never bully honest people, but when it comes to smart people like you, I love a mental challenge, and I’ve never lost one.”

Lu Zhining blinked her beautifully decorated eyes, ”Never lost doesn’t mean you won’t lose. Fine, since you’re so confident, I’d like to see how skilled you truly are.”

Zhang Jingdong shrugged, ”See, you’ve already fallen for my provocation!”

”Anyway, winning or losing doesn’t matter, and I usually start losing but finish winning. You might win now, but you’ll definitely lose later in the real game!”

”Senior, I truly love how confident you are. Now I almost feel bad about winning!”

”Quit it! Are you saying this to excuse yourself when you lose later?”

Zhang Jingdong shook his head with a smile, ”Senior, don’t underestimate me. Let’s make a bet; if I lose, I’ll accept two punishments in one go, but if you lose, you only need to accept one.”

”But in the end, both of us must accept any punishment, okay?”

Lu Zhining was completely provoked, ”No problem, and I don’t need your concession. Whoever wins or loses, it’s one punishment each time.”

”Are you sure?”

”I’m sure!”

”Alright, let’s formally start now. You go first.”

Lu Zhining thought for a moment and said, ”Once upon a time, there was a mountain, and on that mountain, there was a monkey.”

Zhang Jingdong replied directly, ”It was very handsome, which earned it the favor of many female monkeys.”

Lu Zhining rolled her eyes.

”Because of this, another male monkey grew jealous and ambushed it one night, breaking one of its legs.”

Zhang Jingdong laughed, ”Indeed, hell hath no fury like a woman’s scorn, ruthless!”

Lu Zhining’s eyes flickered with a bit of pride, ”And that’s the mild part.”

Zhang Jingdong then said, ”Though it lost a leg, it didn’t lose heart. It started secretly practicing kung fu, awaiting its chance for revenge.”

Lu Zhining said, ”What it didn’t know was that the male monkey who ambushed it was actually the brother of a female monkey it once betrayed, and that’s how it kept track of the male monkey’s whereabouts.”

Zhang Jingdong shook his head with a smile, ”You want to play it that way, huh? Alright.”

”But later, when the female monkey found out the leg that was broken wasn’t just any leg but the most crucial one, she regretted it and, out of sorrow, killed her brother.”

Lu Zhining raised her hand, ”Hey...this doesn’t make sense anymore!”

”Why doesn’t it? A woman who lost her happiness can go crazy, right?”

”She may hate her lover, but when someone else hurts him behind her back, especially when it destroys her future happiness, she’ll avenge him, no matter who it is.”

”You...”

Lu Zhining pouted, ”Alright, continue.”

”After killing her brother, the female monkey felt remorse and then killed the male monkey!”

Zhang Jingdong answered almost without hesitation, ”But because the male monkey was the 9,999,999th monkey to die, it earned a once-in-a-thousand-year chance to reincarnate as an immortal, becoming the Great Sage Equalling Heaven.”

Lu Zhining was stunned.

”You...you can’t play like this! What kind of logic is that?”

Zhang Jingdong laughed out loud, ”You lost!”
