Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

”Then they chatted for a while more, and in the end, my mom just somehow ended up taking my dad to her friend’s wedding.”

”Afterwards, my dad returned to Cannes, and my mom went back to Spain, but by then they had exchanged addresses, and then they started writing to each other.”

”Even now it sounds incredible; they wrote to each other for half a year and then confirmed their relationship.”

”Eventually, my mom resigned from her job and came to Huaxia, and they quickly got married and have been happily in love ever since.”

At this point, Zhang Jingdong couldn’t help but marvel, ”Tsk tsk, your dad is truly a master. He managed to win over your mom in just one meeting.”

Lu Zhining instantly shot Zhang Jingdong a glare, ”What are you talking about? They wrote to each other for half a year, okay?”

Zhang Jingdong shook his head with a smile, ”Trust me, those letters afterward basically didn’t matter much. Your parents ended up together because they had a great conversation during those hours they met and fell for each other at first sight.”

”Mainly your mom is quite a character, decisive, and took action once she was sure. A woman like her deserves happiness!”

Although Lu Zhining felt there was something off about Zhang Jingdong’s words, she had to admit her mom indeed was someone who took action.

At this point, Zhang Jingdong deliberately looked out the window for half a minute before turning back to Lu Zhining, ”As their daughter, do you envy your parents’ love?”

”...Of course I envy it. I think my parents’ love is even more romantic than what’s depicted in movies.”

”And over the years, they’ve been so in love, I even find it somewhat unbelievable.”

Zhang Jingdong gazed at her intensely, ”Actually, you don’t have to envy them. You also have the chance to experience a love just as dreamy and romantic as your parents’.”

”Look, we had exams yesterday. Usually, I don’t even attend classes, but I managed to finish the exam early, isn’t that unusual in itself?”

”After leaving the teaching building, I didn’t go to the cafeteria or return to the dorm; I just had the rare whim to go to the library.”

”In the library, with so many reading rooms, I just happened to go to the Literature and History section.”

”And you, you usually go to the library and spend most of your time there, but yesterday you just happened to be in that reading room downstairs.”

”Then, as if it was destiny, we met there.”

”And the most incredible thing is, before that, we spent nearly a year in the same campus without meeting once, yet we both knew of each other’s existence.”

”And our first conversation went so smoothly, then you wanted me to be the protagonist in your novel, and I was very interested and agreed immediately.”

”Then in our second meeting, we kissed... it’s even more wild and passionate than your parents’ story, isn’t it?”

”So following this pattern, if we can confirm our relationship within three months, we would break your parents’ record, and you wouldn’t have to envy them anymore because you would have your own love story.”

Lu Zhining immediately rolled her eyes at Zhang Jingdong.

”You’re fantasizing again, aren’t you? You’re not allowed to say more, or I’ll get mad!”

But somehow, even though she said this, her tone was noticeably weaker than before.

Zhang Jingdong naturally sensed this and said, ”Senior, I think you should learn from your mom. It’s really hard to meet an interesting guy, and if you really do meet one, you should have the courage to seize it.”

”Otherwise, if one day you really let him go, you’ll have nowhere to regret.”

Lu Zhining pursed her lips and hesitated for several seconds before saying, ”What do I have to regret? You’re not the right answer for me, you... you shouldn’t be so conceited!”

Zhang Jingdong pretended to be a bit disappointed, ”You really don’t want to admit that you’ve started to like me yet?”

At this moment, Lu Zhining discreetly sensed the necklace around her neck, then said, ”Zhang Jingdong, I’ll say it again, don’t talk about this anymore, you... you’re not the kind of person I should like.”

”From what you’re saying, have you now realized what kind of person you should like? Tell me, let me hear?”

”What qualities should he have? Handsome, capable of making money, talented, able to make you laugh, able to talk to you...”

”Others might fulfill one or two of these, but the only one capable of fulfilling all, I’m not bragging, among the people you’ve met, there’s likely only me.”

”But you won’t be just for me!”

Just as she finished saying this, Lu Zhining regretted it because she knew she’d lost her composure, and this sentence revealed a lot.

Zhang Jingdong immediately laughed.

He stared directly at Lu Zhining, ”Senior, you’re complaining, so this is like you’re confessing that you’ve started to like me!”

”I... I haven’t! You’re not allowed to make wild guesses!”

”I’m not guessing wildly...”

Suddenly Zhang Jingdong leaned forward, looking closely at Lu Zhining.

Lu Zhining instinctively leaned back, but then Zhang Jingdong suddenly wrapped his arms around her waist.

”Let go of me...”

Zhang Jingdong interrupted directly, ”Lu Zhining, according to what you meant, is it that as long as I can be yours alone, then you’re willing to admit you’ve started liking me?”

Lu Zhining clearly didn’t expect Zhang Jingdong to say this.

She was taken aback at first, then said, ”You... You can’t possibly achieve that!”

”Senior, you should first answer my question seriously, it’s just that I can be yours alone, will you admit you like me?”

”You only need to answer yes or no?”

”I...”

Lu Zhining’s face instantly turned red.

But after all, she was a Ph.D. student. Just as she was about to answer, she suddenly realized this was Zhang Jingdong’s trap. He was trying to make her admit she liked him.

So she angrily said, ”I... why should I answer your question? I won’t tell you, whether I like you or not has nothing to do with what you’re saying.”

”Zhang Jingdong, I’ve told you before. Your tricks don’t work on me, I absolutely won’t fall for them...”

Before she could finish, Zhang Jingdong kissed her deeply.
