Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Zhang Jingdong saw Lu Zhining agree and promptly reached out his hand to her.

”Sit.”

Lu Zhining pursed her lips, then sat down.

Zhang Jingdong pointed at the computer screen, ”Senior, although the plot of this film is rather straightforward, if you approach it with a learning attitude, you’ll soon be as calm as water.”

”Really, that’s how it was for me.”

”At first, I couldn’t even watch for ten minutes, but once I started trying to watch with a learning mindset, I could watch two or three in a morning without any problem.”

Lu Zhining secretly let out a sigh of relief, then nodded, ”…Alright.”

Saying that, she looked up at the computer.

Five minutes later, she actually started to gradually get used to it.

However, Zhang Jingdong noticed her earlobes had already turned crimson.

Another three minutes passed.

Zhang Jingdong saw that she was engrossed, then leaned over and wrapped his left arm around her waist.

Two more minutes passed, and Zhang Jingdong’s hand skimmed over her leg.

Lu Zhining had actually noticed Zhang Jingdong’s actions, but for some reason, she pretended not to notice.

She even felt an indescribable joy in her heart.

Just as Zhang Jingdong was about to push further, a sudden knocking sound came from outside.

In a panic, Lu Zhining quickly covered her face with her hands.

Zhang Jingdong swiftly clicked the pause button with the mouse, minimizing the screen.

He then stood up and casually said, ”Come in!”

Soon the door was opened, and a waiter pushed a meal cart inside.

”Boss, your order is ready.”

Zhang Jingdong nodded, ”Okay, just place it on the coffee table.”

”Sure.”

The waiter efficiently placed the dishes on the coffee table and then turned and pushed the cart out of the office.

Zhang Jingdong looked carefree, as if nothing had happened just now.

”Alright, senior, let’s eat first.”

Only then did Lu Zhining lower her hands, gradually regaining her composure.

”…Okay.”

The two then left the desk and went over to the sofa.

Zhang Jingdong glanced at the dishes on the table and then handed the chopsticks to Lu Zhining.

”Senior, try these dishes quickly and see if our chef’s skills have declined.”

Lu Zhining took the chopsticks and first tried the classic spicy stir-fried pork.

After savoring the taste carefully, she said, ”Hmm! It’s still the same taste, delicious!”

”Haha, if it’s delicious, then eat more!”

If you list the things that make people happy, good food would definitely be in the top three no matter what.

So, thanks to this meal, Lu Zhining gradually forgot all her previous dissatisfaction with Zhang Jingdong.

Twenty minutes later, the two finished their meal.

Zhang Jingdong, keeping a low profile, pointed to the computer on the desk, ”Want to study a bit more?”

Lu Zhining couldn’t help thinking about Zhang Jingdong’s previous actions, hesitated a bit, and then said, ”I’ve learned enough today, and don’t you have things to do tonight? Let’s study another day.”

Zhang Jingdong knew reaching this point today was already a big gain, so he didn’t insist, ”Alright, learning is something that relies on accumulation over time; no one can become an expert in one fell swoop.”

They chatted a little more and then left the restaurant together.

Zhang Jingdong rode a bike with her to the school, and this time, as soon as she got on, Lu Zhining proactively hugged Zhang Jingdong’s waist.

When passing by the library, Zhang Jingdong turned his head and said, ”My car is on the path behind the cafeteria, I’ll take you there, and you can ride back to the dorm yourself, alright?”

Lu Zhining originally worried that if he rode the bike and took her back to the dorm, it might cause an even bigger commotion, so she nodded, ”Okay.”

Yet, soon, she suddenly felt an inexplicable sense of loss in her heart.

And just then, Zhang Jingdong suddenly slowed the bike down and began to sing:

I once drifted like duckweed without support

A nameless fear of love

But heaven let me meet you

At first glance, you stood beautiful in the crowd alone

You seemed to have a kind of magic

At that moment, I was at a loss for words

…

At this time, the sun was setting to the west, with a gentle breeze in the campus, and Zhang Jingdong’s singing was deep and melodious.

Lu Zhining, caught off guard, suddenly felt a wonderful sense of romance.

She had never experienced anything like this before.

Though she hadn’t had a relationship in the past years, as a girl who had been in school for nearly twenty years, how could she not long for a romantic and beautiful campus love story?

At that moment, she seemingly realized this was the kind of love she desired.

The man in front of her, despite being a bit of a playboy, was, apart from that, practically a perfect man.

He was handsome, could make money, was talented, could sing, and was romantic, and every moment together with him felt fulfilling.

At this thought, Lu Zhining raised her head to look at Zhang Jingdong’s back, suddenly feeling a surge of warmth, and then, uncontrollably, tightened her grip around his waist.

Zhang Jingdong noticed this and sang with even more emotion, ”Let me follow you, let me follow you, I’m willing to stay by your side and shield you from the wind and rain…”

Soon, they arrived at the path behind the cafeteria.

Zhang Jingdong’s black Land Rover was parked by the roadside.

Zhang Jingdong stopped the bike at this moment.

Lu Zhining held on for a few more seconds before reluctantly getting off the bike.

She quickly regained her composure, then said, ”Alright, you go take care of your things, I’m heading back to the dormitory!”

Zhang Jingdong immediately said, ”Senior, isn’t that a bit of a quick change of face? I just brought you all the way back, there’s no reward, fine, but you’re just leaving right away?”
