I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 392: Chapter 48: Sideline (Pulling Strings)

”Good, good, good!”

”Do you know what you’re doing, Chen!”

”You’re interfering with my work on something that is wrong.” Disalvo felt the eyes of the players around him and said sternly, ”Please don’t make it difficult for me, let them train according to the requirements.”

With just a few simple sentences, he painted himself as a victim, making Chen Zhong seem like a bully.

He tried to gain the support of others, but no one gave him even a second glance.

And the most frightening thing was, he discovered that the players had already started training, and the fitness training plan was not devised by him.

Chen Zhong glanced at Disalvo and did not say much, but turned around and threw himself into training, and others also ignored Disalvo. Disalvo looked towards Francisco standing on the sidelines, who turned his head to pretend to chat with other coaching staff members.

Who can tolerate this kind of cold violence?

Disalvo certainly couldn’t. He left the scene angrily, he wanted to report it, he wanted to report it to the ”central”, he wanted to report it to the ”central”!!!

Disalvo left, and Oscar Garro, standing not far away, looked a bit bewildered. Chen Zhong walked over to console him, ”Don’t worry.”

”There won’t be any problems.”

”We can’t let him be a troublemaker for the team again.”

When Chen Zhong said these words, he remembered two or three years ago when Metzelder had just been promoted to the first team. They were competitors at that time, and after Chen Zhong gained the upper hand, the hard-working Metzelder fell into a spree of injuries.

Back then, the injury wave that swept through the whole team also helped Chen Zhong secure the starting position and moved up his position to midfield.

In some way, Disalvo could even be considered Chen Zhong’s ”benefactor.”

”No...” Oscar Garro shook his head, looking at Chen Zhong, and smiled wryly, ”I just didn’t expect him not to recognize me...”

Earlier, Disalvo was ”scanning” to see who exactly took his job. His gaze passed over Oscar Garro at least three times during this period but ignored him. Clearly, he didn’t know what Oscar Garro did.

This is actually normal because, during the first season, Disalvo was only an organizer, tasked with establishing a Milan Laboratory of Real Madrid, and in terms of the team’s fitness training, he hired an Italian fitness coach to execute the plan. But in the second season, the Italian left, and due to immense public pressure, he turned the team’s fitness training into almost a mere formality, causing players’ body fat rates to soar.

In the latter half of the season, he was directly sidelined by Juan de Ramos, which greatly improved the body fat rates of Real Madrid players and led to a streak of victories for Real Madrid.

As the once most powerful person within the club, Disalvo may have heard Oscar Garro’s name, but it’s perfectly understandable that he doesn’t recognize Oscar Garro.

Oscar Garro quickly regained his composure, then pointed to a big man unloading things not far away and said, ”Adam! Adam, could you come here for a moment!”

The big man walked over, looking very cheerful, a bit taller than Chen Zhong.

”Chen! I’m Adam Szalai!”

”Nice to meet you!”

Szalai looked somewhat excited, and he said a bit awkwardly, ”In my hometown, most people are Real Madrid fans.”

”Because we have Puskás.”

”Your story inspires me.”

Adam Szalai is Hungarian. In 2007, he transferred from Stuttgart B Team to Real Madrid’s youth academy and quickly became a member of Castilla.

Although Castilla lost Negredo, Szalai soon filled the ”gap” left by Negredo’s departure, scoring 21 goals in 46 appearances for Castilla over these years.

The club has high hopes for Szalai, after all, he hails from Puskás’s hometown of Hungary. Since Puskás in 1966, no Hungarian player has been able to wear Real Madrid’s jersey.

Real Madrid does not follow a localization route but an international route. Many people hope a Hungarian player can wear Real Madrid’s jersey again.

In fact, last season, during Real Madrid’s chaotic period, this Hungarian who had already become Castilla’s main striker almost got to play on the Champions League stage!

Mijatovic can be credited with great merit, for in last season’s winter window, Mijatovic brought in another Diara and bought Huntelaar for 27 million euros in the winter window. Having spent a total of 47 million euros on the two players, only one player could play for Real Madrid in the Champions League.

This has become a ”case” for Barcelona fans, and even other fans, to ridicule Real Madrid’s wealth and foolishness. Real Madrid’s most expensive winter window signing Huntelaar couldn’t play due to squad registration issues!

This also meant Real Madrid couldn’t find a suitable rotation for their attack line.

And on the team’s bench, there was even someone costing 300,000 euros a month on loan, without any use.

That was the Frenchman Fobei, who was loaned from West Ham United.
