Chapter 386: Chapter 45: Winter Transfer Plan, Kaka’s Hidden Danger

Pellegrini was never Florentino Perez’s first choice. Before him, there were names like Ancelotti, Mourinho, and Wenger, but ultimately, Valdano convinced Florentino to accept Pellegrini.

Unfortunately, Pellegrini’s ”emotional intelligence” is not high, his ”vision” is not grand. He is a capable coach but not suited for elite clubs.

He can lay the groundwork for a team, but he is not the one to lead them to the pinnacle.

Even now, doing well at Real Madrid, he is already on Florentino Perez’s ”blacklist.” Their relationship has never been good, and Florentino doesn’t need a coach who is ”united in appearance but divided in essence” with him.

Even Valdano rarely mentions Pellegrini in front of Florentino now. They all know that at the end of the season, Pellegrini will be fired, making him the sixth manager to be fired under Florentino’s leadership.

”We need a coach with leadership talent.”

”Besides having good coaching skills, he needs to have a resilient heart.”

”Mourinho or Ancelotti would be suitable choices.” Florentino was aligning the thoughts of others within his ”cabinet.”

In the business world, Florentino is not a boss who likes frequent personnel changes, but in the football world, he often changes the team’s manager. Florentino believes ”long pain is worse than short pain,” and when the team deviates from its set direction, timely correction is needed.

Now, Florentino believes Pellegrini is a wrong ”direction.”

If Real Madrid truly wants to succeed, they must abandon this ”failed” person.

As early as when Pellegrini had a conflict with Chen Zhong, the team’s executives had already discussed the possibility of paying 4 million euros for Pellegrini’s early termination.

After all, Mourinho’s breach fee is as high as 16 million euros.

Florentino and his ”cabinet” discussed the differences between Ancelotti and Mourinho. The difference is that Inter Milan’s Mourinho is already in the contract year, and he is very interested in joining Real Madrid, while Chelsea’s Ancelotti has just started coaching and is performing well in the Premier League.

Mourinho’s advantage is that he is ”The Special One”, meeting Real Madrid’s requirements in both character and ability.

Ancelotti’s advantage is that he once had a half pleasant season with Chen Zhong and has always looked forward to working with Chen Zhong again.

The problem is that Mendes has already discussed some of Mourinho’s demands with Florentino, such as the need for transfer authority, but there are also some ”sacrifices.”

For example, Mourinho is willing to lower his salary while hoping the club can increase the bonus after winning the championship. He hopes to prove his ability through this approach.

This series of actions impressed Florentino greatly with Mourinho’s charm and moved him.

”He stated it very clearly.”

”No matter how he fares at Inter Milan.”

”He will come to Madrid, even if this season he leads Inter Milan to a Triple Crown.”

Florentino’s voice echoed in the meeting room, and the ”cabinet” members inside were looking at each other, although they didn’t believe Mourinho’s Inter Milan could win the Triple Crown, his statement still moved them deeply.

Of course, Florentino still has some concerns in his mind.

That is the relationship between Mendes, Mourinho, and C. Ronaldo.

Now Real Madrid has completely become Chen Zhong’s ”one-man rule,” and after Mourinho takes over, he will certainly want to strengthen his authority, and once he has transfer authority, he will naturally recruit his former team from Mendes.

Whether a ”Portuguese connection” will appear in the Real Madrid dressing room, just like the past Brazil and Netherlands, is unpredictable.

If it weren’t for Ancelotti having no real intention.

Florentino is actually more inclined towards Ancelotti.

After unifying the ”cabinet’s” thoughts, they discussed the team’s winter transfer issues. After a simple evaluation of the team’s current situation, they don’t think reinforcement is needed.

So Real Madrid’s winter transfer plan is no plan.

This gradually became Real Madrid’s transfer characteristic. In future transfer markets, during the winter window, unless necessary, Real Madrid will have no actions.

Of course, it’s not to say there are no actions at all.

Van der Vaart, a remnant of the ”Netherlands connection,” has hardly had any opportunities this season. Pellegrini has clearly told him he is not part of the team’s plans, and for this player, Real Madrid does not need to intervene.

His agent has already contacted Tottenham.

The only issue is whether Tottenham can sign Van der Vaart, but even if they can’t, it doesn’t matter much to Real Madrid since Tottenham’s offer is only around 8 million pounds.

In fact, if it weren’t for Van der Vaart’s insistence on staying, he would have been sold during the summer window.

...

Pellegrini will never know about Real Madrid’s high-level meeting. The only thing he knows is that the club will try to clear out Van der Vaart in this winter window.
