I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 373: Chapter 39: Just Do It!

Camp Nou, Barcelona used up a substitution before the first half was over.

The Barcelona fans in the stands loudly chanted Yaya Toure’s name, clearly placing high hopes on this strong midfielder, having had enough of the scenes where their midfield was knocked down by Chen Zhong.

Yaya Toure enjoyed the cheers from the home fans, his sharp gaze fixed on Chen Zhong. He was initially reluctant to be a substitute, believing he had the ability to suppress Chen Zhong.

However, Guardiola hoped to use Keita and Busquets to wear down the opponents, but none of them proved capable, and it all came back to him.

That damned bald-head doesn’t even know how powerful his own abilities are, just look at that Busquets he values! If it were him on the field, he would never be as embarrassed as Busquets.

The cheers from Barcelona fans made Yaya Toure’s entrance particularly prestigious. Chen Zhong felt Toure’s gaze, and the two exchanged glances, with Chen Zhong quickly moving his eyes away.

He didn’t consider this so-called Yaya Toure at all.

If this guy really doesn’t understand, then it’s just as well to teach him a lesson.

After Yaya Toure came onto the field, Barcelona’s midfield strength increased, Toure’s gesture asking for the ball made Guardiola on the sidelines frown.

Yaya Toure and Busquets are completely ”two types,” compared to Busquets, Toure has a strong body, decent defensive awareness, unafraid of confrontation, and has long-range shooting and pushing abilities.

But Toure holds onto the ball too much, Barcelona already has Messi and Iniesta, recognized dribbling experts, hardly needing Toure to carry the ball.

Additionally, his passing speed isn’t as fast as Busquets’, so in Guardiola’s mind, Toure won’t be a mainstay, but rather a ”jack-of-all-trades,” a key substitute.

And leading Barcelona to a ”Five Cups” victory, Guardiola has the confidence and capital to do so.

”Barcelona’s ball control.”

”Used up a substitution early in the first half.”

”Yaya Toure, handling the ball in midfield.”

”Attempting a push forward.”

The ball eventually arrived at Toure’s feet, and after acquiring the ball, Toure directly pushed forward through the midfield, seemingly trying to replicate what Chen Zhong did earlier.

Chen Zhong showed no fear and immediately went for a sliding tackle.

Yaya Toure clearly didn’t expect Chen Zhong to be so unapologetic, stumbling as the ball was sent flying.

Messi, seeing this from the side, appeared somewhat speechless.

They passed to Toure not because they believed he could suppress Chen Zhong, but to help Toure get familiar with the ball, find the feeling.

Such things are often attempted during matches.

Who would have thought Toure would be so aggressive, directly taking the ball and trying to push into Real Madrid’s territory.

”Ouch!”

”That was quite ruthless.”

”Chen Zhong’s tackles are really decisive in this match!”

”Haven’t seen him execute sliding tackles like this in a while.”

”But you still can’t fault him.”

”His tackles are textbook-accurate.”

”Real Madrid’s counterattack after intercepting the ball in the front field.”

”C. Ronaldo has the ball!”

Cristiano Ronaldo wasted several good shooting opportunities, but if you disregard his shooting, his performance on the flank in this game was still decent.

Two to three Barcelona players quickly pressed forward on C. Ronaldo, who observed his surroundings, and seeing Chen Zhong pressing forward, didn’t hesitate to flick the ball towards the center with the outside of his foot.

Approaching was Xavi, jumping high to attempt an interception, but unfortunately, his ”altitude” wasn’t enough.

Chen Zhong quickly moved towards the ball’s landing point, and the previously frustrated Toure rushed over first, nearby were also Busquets and the retreating Iniesta, loitering around, ready to assist.

Chen Zhong continuously observed the surroundings, trying his best to expand his area by stretching his arms, then preemptively secured his position, standing immovable like a rock in the sea amid his confrontation with Toure.

Despite using all his strength, Toure couldn’t gain any advantage in the power struggle.

Chen Zhong backed against Toure, completing a beautiful chest control.

”Beep beep beep~”

The main referee blew the whistle, drawing boos from the Real Madrid stands.

They clearly saw Toure directly taking Chen Zhong down when unable to win the ball.

Especially for the spectators watching the broadcast, they could distinctly see, on television, the desperate Toure using his arm to choke Chen Zhong’s throat from behind, then kicking downward, portraying the role of a wrestler on the field.

”What the hell are you doing!” Pepe ran up from a distance, bumping into Toure, fire in his eyes, as if ready to fight at any moment.

Meanwhile, Chen Zhong, sitting on the ground rubbing his calf, gave the referee a stern look, seemingly wanting to see if the referee would issue a card.

”Watch your actions and behavior!” The referee’s remark wasn’t aimed at Toure, but at Pepe who had just rushed up. After admonishing Pepe, he then said to Toure: ”I don’t want to see such irrational actions from you again.”
