I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 362: Chapter 34: Barcelona, Five Sons Achieve Success (Part 3)

Pellegrini and Chen Zhong arrived at the interview site. Although everyone was eager to speak directly with Chen Zhong, Pellegrini is, after all, the head coach of the team, and Real Madrid’s press officer also needs to maintain his dignity.

The questions from the reporters to Pellegrini were relatively brief, clearly wanting to quickly go through the process and then focus all their energy on Chen Zhong.

Pellegrini saw the situation and didn’t mind.

After all, he has recognized the reality, knowing who the ”hidden boss” of Real Madrid is.

Due to Real Madrid defeating Santander Athletic 11-0 in last week’s league match while Barcelona was held to a draw by Athletic Bilbao, Real Madrid secured the top spot with a 2-point lead.

Before the upcoming El Clásico, everyone is eager to hear Chen Zhong’s thoughts on Barcelona.

Chen Zhong is usually very silent before matches. He rarely expresses opinions, which is a good thing for the coach, indicating the player is focused on training and the game.

But for media people, it’s not a good thing.

Because it makes them lack the necessary traffic and attraction.

”Chen! Great to see you.”

”Great to see you too.”

”What do you think about the upcoming El Clásico?” The reporter looked at Chen Zhong expectantly, hoping he could say something sensational. Were it not for the press officer’s prior briefing, he would’ve wanted to directly ask if he would make a rough tackle on Messi, elbow Xabi Alonso, blast a shot to pry open Barcelona’s goal, and then dunk over their heads.

But unfortunately, he couldn’t ask that...

”We need to be careful of Barcelona, they are very dangerous opponents.”

”Although we are at the top of the league, we are only two points ahead.”

”And the only reason they are two points behind us is because they have won almost all their matches this season. If we give them more opportunities and space, they will surely pose a threat to us.”

Chen Zhong said earnestly, and the reporters below were listening carefully but increasingly felt something was off.

Was he praising the opponent or sarcastically praising them?

They are strong, having won almost all the matches, but still, we have them under us, two points behind?

Is this...

Versailles-style bragging!

Of course, even if Chen Zhong wasn’t using Versailles-style, they would make the news appear so.

After all, El Clásico doesn’t need harmony; it needs conflict...

The reporters, sharpening their knives, were like hungry wolves, trying to lure Chen Zhong into making improper remarks, attempting to intensify the rivalry between the two sides.

So someone deliberately asked, ”When Messi was recently interviewed, he expressed his strong desire to face you again and mentioned the regret of not having you present during last season’s double victory over Real Madrid. What’s your take on this?”

”He said that?”

”Then all I can say is, it was his luck I didn’t play.”

Chen Zhong’s response was quite tough because after the last match, he completed the badge task and finally upgraded the Burly Man badge to gold, reaching the ”Earth Immortal” level in body confrontation.

At the same time, he decisively chose the silver badge of [Durability].

This somewhat compensated for his stamina weakness, as [Durability] can help him recover his strength more quickly.

Of course, most importantly, he discovered a secret during matches against Zurich and Alcorcon, which is very important for the next game.

This secret is...
