Chapter 388: Chapter 46: Saving Private Kaka

”You’re questioning me?”

”What right do you have to question me?” Disalvo’s face was ashen, and his eyes involuntarily drifted towards Cristiano Ronaldo. The two were old acquaintances; when Ronaldo first arrived at Manchester United, their relationship was quite good due to language issues.

Moreover, Disalvo greatly admired ”disciplined” Ronaldo. Facing such a scene now, he could only seek Ronaldo’s support with his gaze, hoping that he would put in a good word for him based on their past relationship.

Disalvo was not doing too well at that moment; after all, Calderon had left, and Florentino was obviously not fond of him. It’s just that with so many things to handle, he hadn’t had time to deal with him. Disalvo needed to achieve some results to keep his ”rice bowl” secure.

Originally, he was diligent, but now he was being ”cornered” by a group of players!

Clearly, he had worked very hard this season, and had also been much stricter with the training program.

Cristiano Ronaldo, feeling Disalvo’s gaze, turned his head unnaturally. If Chen Zhong had come over and attacked Disalvo without any reason, he would definitely have spoken to Chen Zhong, given their past relationship, but Chen Zhong had never been such a reckless person.

Let’s go back to over ten hours ago.

When Chen Zhong noticed Kaka’s discomfort during night training, he looked at Ronaldo, who was speaking for Disalvo, and stated firmly, ”Not everyone is suited to the same methods, my friend.”

”Besides, this isn’t about training.”

”Do you know that some injuries get worse because they’re not taken seriously?”

”But he’s the professional,” Ronaldo said, looking at the young man standing before him. ”We should trust his professionalism.”

”Kaka, they say there’s something wrong with you?”

”Pubic inflammation,” Kaka took a deep breath, placed his hand away from his abdomen, and said, ”They say it’s just mild pubic inflammation.”

”Pubic inflammation?” Chen Zhong sneered.

Pubic inflammation is a non-purulent condition occurring at the pubic symphysis, characterized by pain at the pubic symphysis and the pubic ramus, more common in females. The condition can last for years and often self-resolves.

The anatomical characteristics of the pubic symphysis make it prone to fracture rather than dislocation during violent impact.

However, if external force does not cause pelvic fracture, including displacement of the sacroiliac joint, it inevitably causes displacement of the pubic symphysis, easily leading to this condition.

There’s varying pain at the pubic symphysis, radiating downward along the outer rectus abdominis on both sides.

Pain on the inner thigh affects walking, resulting in a slow gait or even limping.

The adductor muscles are often in spasm and tense, with tenderness at the muscle origin.

This condition, in 2019, was even updated or rather extended to a new term: ”Athlete’s pubic symphysis osteochondritis,” specifically noting its prevalence among football players.

After La Liga’s 12th round national derby, Kaka sustained an injury during the match against Barcelona. Real Madrid’s team doctor diagnosed it as ”pubic inflammation,” and it was a ”mild” case, meaning no special treatment was needed.

After all, it’s a common ailment.

But Kaka was in such a state now, it couldn’t be explained by pubic inflammation alone.

”If I remember correctly.”

”A few days ago, when you got out of bed, you told me your lower abdomen was a little uncomfortable.”

”Don’t look at me like that,” Chen Zhong said to Ronaldo. ”What I mean is, when we met a few days ago, he told me that in the morning when he got up, his lower abdomen felt a bit uncomfortable.”

”I know.” Cristiano Ronaldo retracted his probing gaze and said, ”But that just means his condition is a bit more severe, causing abdominal pain.”

”I still trust him.”

The ”him” C. Ronaldo referred to was Disalvo. It seemed Ronaldo was quite sentimental.

Moreover, most football players are aware of this condition; the intensity of the pain varies, radiating downward from the outer rectus abdominis on both sides.

The rectus abdominis is located on either side of the midline of the anterior abdominal wall, encased within the rectus sheath, being a wide and narrow muscular belt.

In simple terms, it’s where your six-pack abs are located, although some exceptionally gifted individuals have eight or even just one solid block; it’s all the same.

Kaka’s discomfort at this location could easily be attributed to his pubic inflammation being not as mild as thought or slightly more severe, but it wasn’t a big deal.

”Fine!” Chen Zhong nodded forcefully at Cristiano Ronaldo and said, ”I don’t need to convince you.”

”Kaka.”

”Here!” Kaka shuddered at Chen Zhong’s call, then looked at him and said, ”I’m much better now.”

”Okay.”

”Come with me now, I’ll take you for a check-up.”

”To the hospital?” Kaka waved his hand to decline and said, ”We’re still in training, let’s wait until it’s over!”

The concept differs abroad compared to domestically. Chen Zhong directed his gaze at Francisco, realizing that during team training, the head coach doesn’t necessarily have to be present; it depends on the person.

Some prefer to watch over training sessions closely, while others might organize tactics in the office or go out to discuss matters or scout opponents.
