Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

Hmm, considering the personalities of the two girls, of course there has to be some sparks of romance.

However, by the end of the first season, it’s only at an ambiguous level... Logically speaking, it’s not overly melodramatic.

As for whether there will be a second or third season, there is no conclusion yet.

It doesn’t really matter.

The quality of the production is still unknown at this point.

If the quality is good, having no second or third season might cause some pain for the audience, which would be gratifying for the creators; if the quality is poor, having no second or third season would mean getting less criticism, which would also be satisfying.

Chen Rui and her team began intensively preparing for the short drama filming, while Li Younan put all his energy into the little foal.

Li Younan possesses equestrian skills, with top-notch riding including developing mutual understanding and affection with the horse, so this skill also includes how to care for the foal, its growth, as well as bathing and trimming the horse’s hooves and other related knowledge.

Theory is one thing, but actual practice is another interesting experience.

Before formally taking care of the foal, there’s a very ceremonial task to do, and that is naming the foal.

Lan Yiyi asked Li Younan what name he would give the foal?

Li Younan thought for a moment and said, ”The foal’s mother is called Little White Cabbage... that’s a vegetable, and since it’s from Northern Xinjiang, let’s just call it little Shengjiang.”

Lan Yiyi expressed dissatisfaction with this name: ”This name sounds so uncool, it’s too casual.” In Lan Yiyi’s vision, there should be a cool, awesome name like Black Dragon, Black Whirlwind, or Black Lightning.

On this matter, Li Younan had his own insistence: ”I think little Shengjiang sounds nice.”

”But...”

”Hmm? Doesn’t my opinion count?”

Lan Yiyi was taken aback, blinked her eyes: ”Oh oh, you decide! Let’s call it little Shengjiang then.”

The following day, their short drama officially started filming.

The entire staff at the ranch devoted themselves to the filming work.

To facilitate shooting, a guest room was fully utilized, and Batur along with a few people he brought were arranged to stay there.

But people who frequently shoot short dramas know that a scene doesn’t require the grand setup of a typical TV drama.

Short dramas are like online novels, the focus is still on the interaction between people, and such interactions can further be concentrated into the accumulation and release of emotions.

So as long as the details of people are well handled, the shooting progresses quickly.

However, in the following days, it started snowing.

The weather was always gloomy and cold, the snow wasn’t heavy but came in flurries, continuously falling and forming a thin layer on the ground.

The prairie outside the ranch became increasingly desolate.

The good news is that snow, unlike rain, generally doesn’t hinder people’s actions, and this kind of weather seems to better highlight the tragic encounter of the captured Xing Bingyi in the story.

For director Chen Rui, this wasn’t bad news at all; the weather even enhanced the quality of the scenes.

Her view was not without reason, after all, a short drama shot on location is inherently a gem, and the high-quality props used gave the series a superior texture despite still following the typical story pattern.

Li Younan’s scenes were actually not many.

To leverage his strengths, there were quite a few action sequences.

Li Younan could perform various flips and cool moves, and these shots were enough to elevate this short drama by several levels.

Batur’s armory included a 1:1 replica of an ancient sword. Although Li Younan didn’t know much about ancient weapons, and whether this sword matched that era was unimportant, it worked well as his character’s prop sword in the series.

Originally, Chen Rui’s idea was to have Li Younan just demonstrate a few moves with the sword, just to capture the essence, but unexpectedly, Li Younan performed a fluid and graceful swordsmanship routine.

Undoubtedly, once again, he astounded everyone.

Li Younan was used to everyone’s reaction; showing off a small skill occasionally and scaring others a bit was quite enjoyable.

Of course, beyond his swordsmanship, Li Younan was more satisfied with his acting.

There were several scenes requiring interaction with Lan Yiyi, and Li Younan felt he was completely immersed in the role, portraying a guard who felt heartfelt sorrow for this woman yet had to restrain his emotions and diligently fulfill his duties. The restrained conflict exhibited during these scenes was indeed a highly challenging performance.

But it was executed excellently, and Li Younan gave himself a perfect score.

Of course, some whispers among the actors didn’t reach Li Younan’s ears: ”Although Li Younan seems completely out of place like he’s detached from the plot, it doesn’t matter, with some special editing techniques, the impact can be minimized, fortunately Yiyi, your acting for short dramas is indeed a dimensional reduction strike, hehe...”

When not filming, most of Li Younan’s time was still spent caring for little Shengjiang.

The heater buzzed in the foal’s stable, the air still, mixed with the smells of disinfectant and milk.

Little Shengjiang curled up on thick padding, its fetal coat pressed against Little White Cabbage.

Li Younan often slipped his fingers under its chest, the thermometer always showing a below-average temperature. Its rapid heartbeat thudded against his palm.
