Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

Li Younan plans to stay at Yiyi’s family’s ranch for a while.

At this time, his pony has just been born and needs someone to take care of it, which is also an important time for bonding.

Even though he only spent some time with the pony this afternoon, he already felt a sense of responsibility.

There are quite a few things to do next; he hasn’t named it yet or officially fed the pony for the first time.

Much of the horse-raising knowledge in his mind hasn’t been put to use.

In this matter, it’s clear that Yiyi truly means to gift this horse to him.

From the beginning, Yiyi emphasized Younan’s ownership over the pony; it’s a rather serious matter.

By adopting this horse, one must be responsible for it, ”Our ranch is just here to help you raise it. Even if you’re not at the ranch for a long time, it doesn’t matter, but this horse is yours, it’s yours.” This consciousness must be strictly established.

Yiyi’s earnest attitude made Li Younan instantly serious, putting his full spirit into this matter.

Taking care of the currently adorable pony is something that can be continued for a long time and is interesting.

Right now, the pony has no aggression and taming isn’t difficult; it approaches everything around with a curious attitude.

If well trained, it can be nurtured into a so-called competition-grade horse.

Of course, this statement is just a direct reflection of the horse-rider synergy. Actually participating in equestrian competitions might bore Younan.

Yiyi’s attitude towards him is very good, and this attitude naturally extends to the other staff at the ranch.

Whether Yiyi instructed them or not, everyone is courteous to him, yet there’s a kind of curious scrutiny.

After he casually demonstrated some riding and archery this afternoon, he could clearly sense a few more notes of respect in their attitude towards him.

Especially the young man who drove them over.

His surname is Wang, and he’s the youngest coach at the ranch.

During their conversation, he openly admired Li Younan and was even more curious, asking where he learned horseback riding and archery, as his technique was so skilled.

Li Younan couldn’t clearly explain Coach Wang’s queries, only vaguely said, ”There are places to ride horses in Sichuan; as for archery, it’s kind of a talent, not much practiced really, the times I tried it I could count on one hand...”

This kind of explanation later made the young coach Wang fall into deep self-doubt.

As for Batur, Li Younan asked them to stay in the city for the night and meet the next day.

After all, when they drove over today, it was getting dark, making doing anything inconvenient.

Batur readily agreed, and the two arranged to meet up in the morning.

After dinner, two girls continued discussing the script.

Meanwhile, Li Younan, with Coach Xiaowang’s company, started familiarizing himself with other interesting aspects of the ranch.

It’s already the off-peak travel season; most of the time, the ranch doesn’t host tourists unless some guests from the city express interest in experiencing horse riding or when club members come over, they facilitate visits on a case-by-case basis.

Therefore, there are few coaches at the ranch at this time, with only some key staff maintaining operations.

Yiyi’s family’s ranch is built to a very high standard, covering an area of over ten acres.

It includes outdoor arenas, indoor arenas, obstacle courses, stables, tack rooms, equipment repair rooms, veterinary rooms, medicine rooms, and even more than ten guest rooms.

Additionally, they plan to build a swimming pool specifically for horses, with the site already planned.

However, as it’s quite cold here, water freezes in winter; if a constant-temperature pool were built, the cost would be too high, so no decision has been made yet.

Nonetheless, judging by the standards of construction, it’s on par with some professional venues abroad.

But from their chat, Li Younan learned that the ranch is currently barely breaking even, with no significant profit.

This professional equestrian club has high costs, and therefore, fees are naturally high, but its location is too remote from the consumer crowd, a conflict that can’t be resolved for now.

Talking about this, Coach Xiaowang had a faint look of worry in his eyes, clearly showing he likes the work at the ranch. If the ranch fails to make money and closes, he’d likely be quite sad.

Li Younan isn’t as pessimistic about the situation for now. Yiyi herself loves horse riding; as long as it’s not losing money recklessly, they can still keep going, as it’s part of Yiyi’s family estate.

Domestically, there’s a considerable high-net-worth crowd interested in equestrian activities, apart from the ranch’s conditions, promotion is also very important.

Even those who have been closely following equestrian activities know little about Yiyi’s family’s ranch.

If it’s about promotion, Li Younan certainly can help, but it’s best for Yiyi to propose it first.

At present, even the ranch operation is not overseen by Yiyi’s direct relatives.
