Chaotic Sword God

“With her identity, how can she possibly develop ill will towards an Immortal Emperor junior? After all, they’re only interested in the twin swords.” The Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor disagreed.

“Oh right, Yang Yutian didn’t end up in the hands of the Illusionary Ancestor?”

“He had already successfully escaped through your power. The Illusionary Ancestor did not stop him,” said the Heavenly Emperor of Sword Radiance.

“She didn’t stop him? Looks like they still haven’t found a suitable reason. After all, they are a sovereign clan of the Immortals’ World now. They still care about their dignity at the end of the day. However, it is fortunate that they still know to hold back a little. Otherwise, if they really tried to rob him with no sense of shame, no one would be able to stop them.” The Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor sighed gently. “It’s a pity that the timing is so terrible. The old senior’s successor has appeared at a horrible time. Senior Samsaric is currently in danger with his fate unknown. Without senior Samsaric holding off the Waymight clan, how are we supposed to contend with the Waymight clan as just courts of heaven?”

Thinking up to there, the Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor’s heart weighed heavily. He struggled to maintain his previous optimism with the Waymight clan’s appearance.

The Heavenly Emperor of Sword Radiance fell silent as well. If the successor of the twin swords had not been discovered by the Waymight clan, it was completely possible for them to grant him protection as courts of heaven. Even if they could not manage that, they could hide him and reveal him to the world once the time was ripe.

But since he had raised the Waymight clan’s attention already, this would be rather difficult to handle.

The peak experts of the Immortals’ World had already seen through the ambitions of the Waymight clan a long time ago. As a matter of fact, it had ceased to be a secret among the upper rungs of society.

“In the past, the Waymight clan used various methods to accept some disciples of the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens into their clan. Now, these disciples of the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens still bear the title of disciples of the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens, but they’ve actually become members of the Waymight clan already.”

“The Waymight clan began scheming after the twin swords many years ago. The group of disciples of the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens they originally accepted are just waiting for the right time to replace the main lineage. Afterwards, they can rightfully inherit the twin swords. As long as the main lineage supported by the Waymight clan gains the twin swords, it will be equivalent to the twin swords ending up in the Waymight clan’s hands.”

“In the past, the twin swords never appeared, so the disciples supported by the Waymight clan never did anything. Now that the successor of the twin swords has emerged, the Waymight clan should take action very soon,” the Heavenly Emperor of Sword Radiance said in thought.

When he heard that, the Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor’s eyes turned cold. He said in resentment, “Back then, Daowei Fatian had yet to become a Grand Exalt. I never thought he had already begun scheming after the twin swords. If I had known about his ambitions earlier, I should have let him die at the hands of the experts of the Saints’ World.”

“The Waymight clan is not the only one with such ambitions. After all, the twin swords are so terrifyingly powerful. Who in the Immortals’ World isn’t tempted by them? Even if they can’t fuse them, just wielding them serves as a tremendous source of deterrence.”

“However, discussing this now is already pointless. Let’s see how we can preserve the original lineage of the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens instead,” he Heavenly Emperor of Sword Radiance said.

The Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor furrowed his brows in thought and said, “Apart from Daowei Fatian, there’s only the Grand Exalt of the Ancient and Profound in the Immortals’ World. If we really run out of options, we’ll go and find him. The Grand Exalt of the Ancient and Profound might not want to risk offending Daowei Fatian to stand with the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens, but we have no better options.”

The Heavenly Emperor of Sword Radiance shook his head gently and said, “Although Ancient and Profound has been a Grand Exalt for much longer than Daowei Fatian, Daowei Fatian possesses the Book of the Populace. His strength is already beyond what the Grand Exalt of the Ancient and Profound can stop. This method would not be appropriate.”

“Don’t tell me you have better ideas?” The Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor looked at the Heavenly Emperor of Sword Radiance.

“Didn’t I tell you already? The Waymight clan still cares about their appearances at the end of the day. As long as they don’t take it by force, there’ll be room for maneuvering. This is only temporary, but we’ll drag it out for as long as we can…”

......

…

Jian Chen traversed almost half of the Immortals’ World at a terrifying speed under the Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor’s power before finally stopping in an unfamiliar region of space.

Without the Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor’s power to restrain him, Jian Chen finally recovered his freedom. He activated the mask from the Illusionary Daemon race and the Divine Armour of Heavenflight, silently blending into the space there.

However, after doing all that, Jian Chen suddenly narrowed his eyes. He stared straight at his hand.

Before he had even realised it, a Space Ring had appeared in his hand.

He carefully sorted through his memories before finally realising that the Space Ring had been shoved into his hand secretly before the Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor had restrained him with his absolute strength and sent him flying away from that place.

However, his attention had been focused elsewhere and his body was restrained, which was why he did not notice immediately.

Jian Chen did not have the time to check the Space Ring. He did not know if any experts had tailed the Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor’s power in pursuit of him. As a result, he immediately left this space under the combined disguise of the mask from the Illusionary Daemon race and the Divine Armour of Heavenflight.

Afterwards, Jian Chen used the Laws of Space to travel through the sea of stars. He changed directly numerous times, running around aimlessly like a headless fly.

In the end, after three days of travel, Jian Chen stopped on a meteor with an uneven surface.

“I’ll spend the next period of time cultivating in peace here.” Jian Chen found a natural cave. He entered the cave and sat down. His Laws of the Sword had only just broken through. His overall strength had increased significantly, so he needed to spend some time to properly consolidate it.

As a matter of fact, Jian Chen did not even have the time to check the items in the Space Ring. He immediately began comprehending the Laws of the Sword.

The power from the seed of ways left behind by the Skyscraping Sword Venerable had yet to disperse. A small amount of comprehension of the Ways of the Sword still remained. These fragments of ways were constantly weakening and dispersing with each passing moment, so he needed to seize every second and absorb as much of this comprehension as possible.

Even though the remaining power from the seed of ways was nowhere near enough for Jian Chen to breakthrough again, it was still an opportunity for a great increase in a short period of time, so he obviously could not waste it.

Seven days later, the power in the seed of ways completely dispersed. The seven days of cultivation completely surpassed a century of Jian Chen’s usual, arduous cultivation when it came to results.

Jian Chen opened his eyes slowly and began studying the Space Ring in his hand. It was of an exquisite, feminine design. A faint body fragrance still lingered on it.

As he looked at the Space Ring, a ray of light shone through Jian Chen’s eyes. He already knew who the Space Ring belonged to.

In the next moment, he sent the senses of his soul inside the Space Ring. The items inside immediately left Jian Chen shocked. He was overwhelmed by a multitude of different feelings.

The Space Ring was filled with piles of heavenly resources. Across the different qualities, there were several hundred thousand of them in total.

Jian Chen could tell with a single glance that these heavenly resources all came from the medicinal gardens in the Skyscraping World. Due to the sheer variety, they served all sorts of different purposes.

Xing Caijian had packaged up all the heavenly resources she had collected in the Skyscraping World and given them to Jian Chen.
