Chaotic Sword God

The Wayless Immortal Exalt’s behaviour was rather oppressive. He was completely fearless before Xing Caijian and the organisation behind her, the Heavenly Star Palace.

Back when he still did not know that Jian Chen’s recovery item was a sovereign god artifact, their Immortal Feather sect had already announced a bounty, wanting to find him even if it meant flipping every stone in the Immortals’ World.

Now that they knew it was a sovereign god artifact, they had even fewer reasons to let him go.

“Your Immortal Feather sect has become interested in the sovereign god artifact on Yang Yutian, so you want to kill him and take his treasure?” Xing Caijian asked emotionlessly.

“Hmph, sovereign god artifacts may be precious, but it’s not like our Immortal Feather sect doesn’t have them. Why would we do something like this for the sake of a mere item? Our Immortal Feather sect wants this person captured because he’s already killed four of our great elders,” the Wayless Immortal Exalt said coldly. There were many Immortal Exalts in the surroundings. He definitely could not earn the Immortal Feather sect a reputation for murder and stealing.

“I never thought that as one of the courts of heaven, the Immortal Feather sect would actually be so shameless. You had four great elders die because you asked for it,” Jian Chen suddenly said.

“Junior, what did you just say?” The Wayless Immortal Exalt glared at Jian Chen. His fury surged.

“I said you asked for it. When I competed for the Thousand Immortal General’s position in the Observance Heaven City, your Immortal Feather sect made things difficult for me at every turn. Even after I left the Observance Heaven City, you specially sent an Immortal Emperor who had grasped the Laws of Space to chase me down. If you hadn’t done that, would that Immortal Emperor have died in outer space?”

Jian Chen continued, “Thinking of it now, perhaps it was not just due to the Thousand Immortal General’s position that the Immortal Feather sect made things difficult for me time and time again. The great elder of your Immortal Feather sect, Xia Tianming, lost by my hand, which made you embarrassed. Most importantly, the treasure I possess caught your attention right from the beginning. You want to kill me for it.”

“How dare you. Junior, how can you slander our Immortal Feather sect like this? Regardless, it’s the stone cold truth that you’ve killed great elders of our Immortal Feather sect.”

“It’s quite simple to tell whether it’s slander or not. You only need to slightly investigate in the Observance Heaven City to find out about everything,” said Jian Chen.

“The truth from back then is no longer important. No matter who’s in the wrong, the four great elders of our Immortal Feather sect can’t die for nothing.”

Right when the Wayless Immortal Exalt wanted to speak up, a vigorous voice flooded the surroundings. The voice was very calm and even slightly approachable. It was extremely amicable. However, when everyone heard the voice, they shuddered inside.

From the calm voice, all of them could sense an invisible pressure.

The Illusion-condensing Swordmaster who sipped tea leisurely on an immortal vessel while keeping his presence concealed narrowed his eyes slightly. His hand that held the cup paused momentarily.

A blinding ball of light silently appeared before the Wayless Immortal Exalt. Through the ball of light, it was only possible to make out a slender figure.

“The Cloud Furnace Master of the Sword Sect of Jade Clouds greets senior Thousand Daggeraxe…”

“The master of the Path of Truth and Illusion greets senior Thousand Daggeraxe…”

“Myriad Gold of the Gold Yang sect greets senior Thousand Daggeraxe…”

......

…

None of them could see his face, but many people here were not unfamiliar with his identity. As their faces changed, they all composed themselves without any arrogance and bowed towards him in greeting.

Xing Caijian became even more stern. She stared straight at the figure that basked in resplendent light as if she was facing a powerful opponent.

The Thousand Daggeraxe Ancestor was a Seventh Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt from the Immortal Feather sect!

The Seventh Heavenly Layer was already the realm of late Immortal Exalt. There was a tremendous difference compared to the Sixth Heavenly Layer.

The Divine Sword of the Heavenly Star had already slain a Seventh Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt in the Skyscraping World. With the Divine Sword of the Heavenly Star’s abilities, she did not fear such an expert.

However, if she actually pointed the Divine Sword of the Heavenly Star at the Immortal Feather sect, then it would have severe implications.

“Yang Yutian? Chang Yang? Jian Chen? I don’t care what your name is, nor do I care what your identity or background is. I care even less about who’s right between you and Wayless. I’ve only come here for one reason, the deaths of the four great elders of our sect. How do you plan on explaining yourself to us?” the Thousand Daggeraxe Immortal Exalt said calmly.

He spoke calmly, but he also gave off an undefiable sense of authority.

He did not care about right and wrong, nor did he care about the process. He only looked at the end result.

In other words, even if the Wayless Immortal Exalt had been wrong the entire time, even if Jian Chen was only fighting back in self-defence, even if Jian Chen had suffered significant harm and losses during this time, the Thousand Soul Immortal Exalt cared about none of that. However, as long as Jian Chen had the courage to harm people of the Immortal Feather sect and embarrass the Immortal Feather sect, he had to give the Immortal Feather sect a satisfying explanation.

This was a form of harassment, reiterating the principle that it was perfectly right and proper for the Immortal Feather sect to oppress other cultivators, and it was a heinous crime for them to oppress back.

Jian Chen furrowed his brows slightly. The attitude that the Thousand Daggeraxe Immortal Exalt gave off made him feel like he could not be reasoned with.

“You have nothing to say? If that’s the case, I’ll give you a choice. Offer up the sovereign god artifact on you, and we’ll forget all about the fact that you’ve killed four great elders of our Immortal Feather sect,” the Thousand Daggeraxe Immortal Exalt continued. He said that in front of everyone. He made no attempt to hide it.

When he heard that, the Wayless Immortal Exalt panicked. There were so many Immortal Exalts gathered here. Each one of them represented a peak organisation that dominated a region. If he openly demonstrated his desire for the sovereign god artifact before these people, it would damage the reputation of the Immortal Feather sect.

Even if they wanted the sovereign god artifact, they could not be so direct.

However, the Wayless Immortal Exalt did not have the courage to say anything or even show the slightest hint of displeasure towards the Thousand Daggeraxe Immortal Exalt’s method of handling things even when he found it rather inappropriate.

“So the sovereign god artifact on me has also caught your eye, senior!” Jian Chen laughed. He looked around, glancing past the owners of the medicinal gardens. “However, you’re not the only one who’s taken a liking to my sovereign god artifact, senior Thousand Daggeraxe. All of the seniors around here are determined to obtain the sovereign god artifact. In order to obtain it, some of them are even bold enough to offend the Heavenly Star Palace. I just wonder if you’ll be able to hold onto the sovereign god artifact if I handed it over to you, senior Thousand Daggeraxe.”

In the surroundings, the eyes of many of the powerful Immortal Exalts shone with a strange light. A recovery sovereign god artifact was far too tempting to them. Once they possessed it, it was equivalent to obtaining an undying body. For the sake of that, they would be willing to give up everything without any hesitation. They could even abandon their sects.

The Thousand Daggeraxe Immortal Exalt was very powerful, a Seventh Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt, but he came nowhere close to the Divine Sword of the Heavenly Star that bore a heavenly emperor’s power.

“As long as I’m still here, all of you can forget about forcing a guest of our Heavenly Star Palace to do anything. Senior Heavenly Star, please protect Yang Yutian,” Xing Caijian said coldly.

The Divine Sword of the Heavenly Star immediately appeared over Jian Chen’s head.

“Little girl, does your Heavenly Star Palace really want to oppose our Immortal Feather sect?” The Thousand Daggeraxe Immortal Exalt looked at Xing Cajian. His voice was just as gentle as before. “Our Immortal Feather sect also possesses sovereign god artifacts. I don’t wish for the relationship between the Immortal Feather sect and Heavenly Star Palace to be reduced to such a level.”
