Bizarre Voyage: Summoning The Fourth Crisis

But Niuniu had already climbed to his feet. After wiping his eyes, he spat out a mouthful of blood. ”Ptooey. Tastes like rust.”

”Stay back, there’s a pit here. Dammit... *URP*~”

As he spoke, having been forced to swallow several mouthfuls of blood, he let out an uncontrollable burp.

Mushroom gagged. ”Can you do one thing a normal person would? How can you do something so disgusting?”

”What the hell? It’s not like I did it on purpose...” Niuniu said, spreading his hands innocently.

After he finished speaking, he looked back down into the pit, raised an eyebrow, and said, ”Looks like there’s something else in this blood pit...”

With that said, to Mushroom’s utter horror, he plunged headfirst into the pool of blood with a loud SPLASH.

Mushroom’s vision went dark.

’How can this guy do such absurd things?’

’The Sacrificial Living Corpses are still hanging over his head, yet he’s not scared in the slightest. He even drank some of the blood.’

’It’s just too absurd!’

After the Blood Pool bubbled for a moment, Niuniu stood up again with a loud SPLASH. This time, he was excitedly holding a string of sparkling, translucent objects.

”Hahaha, I told you there was something!”

[Acquired: Madness-Dissolving Clump ×5]

[Madness-Dissolving Clump]

[Type: Consumable]

[Effect: Upon consumption, immediately removes accumulated ”Madness” infection and grants immunity to ”Madness” infection for a period of time.]

[Explanation: A clump from the pool of blood, a calming and mind-soothing object born from Madness.]

”Let’s see if there are any more in other places.”

Having gotten a taste of the rewards, Niuniu immediately began to grope around excitedly, completely ignoring the softly chuckling corpses above his head.

Mushroom winced at the sight, but he didn’t just stand there. After a moment’s hesitation, he waded into the pool of blood to help Niuniu search.

A short while later, they actually found two more pits in the Blood Pool, both of which contained items.

In addition to more Madness-Dissolving Clumps, they found a Magic Battle Ash inside a skull and a weapon.

[Battle Ash·Frenzy Chain Attack]

[Type: Skill Book]

[Quality: Embers]

[Effect: Consumes Spiritual Power to unleash a chaotic, high-speed chain attack. Adaptable to all weapons. The lower the user’s Spiritual Value, the stronger the attack’s effect.]

[Explanation: Channels the power of Madness into attacks in exchange for a ferocious offense.]

As for the weapon, it was a dagger.

However, the dagger had a very unique shape. It was three-edged, more like a spike, and was covered in sharp barbs. It looked as if it had been designed specifically to increase an enemy’s suffering.

[Mad Assassin Dagger (Excellent)]

[Type: Weapon]

[Effect: Slightly increases attack speed, Agility +2, Spirit -1]

[Explanation: A mad assassin enjoys the suffering of his enemies before they die, but clearly, he died here.]

”This Battle Ash could be used by a Warrior.”

Niuniu happily put away the Battle Ash, then looked at the Mad Assassin Dagger’s explanation, somewhat surprised.

”’Died here’? There was an assassin here?”

”Probably that one.” Mushroom pointed to one of the headless corpses hanging there. The blood-red cloak on it also indicated its identity.

”How did this guy die here?”

Niuniu was a little confused.

But he quickly shrugged, stopped thinking about it, and turned his gaze to the opening.

They had completely looted the Blood Pool. Now, this was the only place left to explore.

Niuniu leaned down, poked his head in to look, then pulled it back out.

”How is it? Find anything?” Mushroom asked.

”Can’t see the end, but I think I can go down... Here, hold my equipment. I’m going to go take a look.”

After speaking, Niuniu took out his equipment and items and handed them to Mushroom.

Mushroom was a bit stunned to hear this, but he didn’t say much. The two had been partners for quite some time, and at this point, nothing Niuniu did could really surprise him anymore.

A moment later, Niuniu had stripped down to his underwear, swung his leg over, and slid down as if he were on a slide.

SLOSH! SLOSH!

The viscous blood became the perfect lubricant, causing him to accelerate, going faster and faster.

Finally, Niuniu suddenly saw the opening come to an end.

SPLASH!

In the blood-colored underground space, Niuniu, dressed in his underwear, shot out of the opening and skidded across the ground, kicking up a spray of blood.

Niuniu was a bit dizzy from the slide. After stopping, he quickly shook his head and stood up.

However, what greeted his eyes was a terrifying, blood-red scene.

DRIP... DRIP...

Blood was constantly dripping from the ceiling, landing in the viscous Blood Pool or on the ground.

CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!

The sound of a whip striking flesh drowned out the dripping blood, echoing in his ears.

Niuniu turned his head toward the sound, and his expression froze when he saw the enormous, blood-colored creature ahead.

[Lady of Tyranny, Jona]

[Tier: Embers]

[Level: 18]

[Warfire: ?]

[Talent: Soul-Catching Gaze (Making eye contact with an enemy will cause them to become dazed. The lower the target’s Spirit, the stronger the effect.)]

[Skills: Binding, Sadistic Whip, Blood Red Spike, Blood Fang Skill]

[Explanation: She is passionate about taming others through whipping and punishment. She was once a woman with an extremely strong desire to conquer.]

This Lady of the Manor was tall, holding a Bone Whip made of connected vertebrae, and was whipping the man in front of her.

And this man, clad in caped Knight Armor, looked majestic, yet he knelt before the Lady of Tyranny, quietly enduring the flogging.

[Mad Fallen Lord, Antonista]

[Tier: Embers]

[Level: 18]

[Warfire: Mad Fallen Lord]

[Talent: Pain Frenzy (Every injury sustained increases excitement, boosting one’s own Attack Power and attack speed.)]

[Skills: Swift Blade, Blood of Madness, Blood-colored Shock, Pain Transfer]

[Explanation: A curse in his bloodline caused him to suffer from a mental illness, a flaw that Jona’s appearance remedied. ”She is the most perfect lover.” As he looked at the newly risen Jona, this thought crossed his mind.]

As if sensing Niuniu’s arrival, the Lady of Tyranny’s hand suddenly stopped moving.

The Mad Fallen Lord also noticed something was amiss.

A moment later, both bosses simultaneously turned their gazes toward Niuniu.

”...”

Niuniu looked at the Lady of Tyranny, then at the Mad Fallen Lord.

After a moment of silence, he tilted his head back, spread his arms, and struck a more stylish pose.

Although he couldn’t kill the two bosses in front of him, he could at least choose a dignified posture to die in.

A moment later, a crimson onslaught struck, and he got his wish.

[DEATH]

”I can’t believe that slide led straight to the boss room. What bad luck.”

Niuniu resignedly controlled his Wandering Soul and flew toward the Spirit Candle.

Mushroom, who had been waiting by the slide’s entrance for a good while, couldn’t help but ask when he finally saw him return, ”How did you die? Were there monsters down there?”

Seeing how curious he was, Niuniu chuckled slyly. ”Of course there are. And they’re very grotesque monsters, totally worth a look.”

”Wanna give it a try?”

”...What are you scheming now?” Mushroom gave him a suspicious look, feeling like he was up to no good.

”Come on, you’ll find out if you go see for yourself. Just store your equipment at the Spirit Candle. If you die, it’ll only cost a little bit of Wax Oil. I’ll even spot you the cost! Go on, go take a look. I guarantee it’ll broaden your horizons.”

Niuniu urged and goaded him.

Seeing him act like this, Mushroom became even more wary. He shook his head and took two steps back. ”No way. You’re definitely trying to mess with me.”

”You’re no fun.” Niuniu smacked his lips. ”So you don’t plan on fighting the bosses then?”

”It’s a boss down there?”

Mushroom thought to himself, ’That was a close call. Good thing I didn’t fall for this guy’s trap.’

”Yep.” Niuniu nodded. As he told him the information about the two bosses, he couldn’t help but laugh. ”This couple is seriously twisted. Their skills and everything are all related to their weird kinks.”

”Two bosses...” Mushroom’s focus, however, was not on that.

According to Niuniu, the two bosses were clearly one frontline tank and one backline damage dealer. Plus, their levels weren’t low, comparable to the Gray Wolf Followers at the entrance.

Anyone could tell that the difficulty of these two bosses would be off the charts.
