Bizarre Voyage: Summoning The Fourth Crisis

”Wei Zi, where do you think we should go next?”

At the entrance of the lighthouse, the two began to consider their next route.

They had many choices before them now.

Spirit Candle wasn’t a game with linear progression, but an extremely open world where every house could be entered and every path could be taken.

In fact, if Li Miao and Shore didn’t mind the trouble, they could even walk across the rooftops.

”I kind of want to go loot the houses,”

Shore said.

Hearing this, Li Miao’s expression immediately darkened. ’Is this guy addicted to looting or what?’

”How about we find the boss in this dungeon and roughly explore the map before we talk about looting houses? Do you really think you’re playing a battle royale game?”

Li Miao said, annoyed.

Shore chuckled at his words. Of course, he was just teasing.

After that, the two began their discussion.

Judging by the conspicuous buildings, they had two routes to choose from.

First was the port on the left, then the buildings and plaza in the middle, and finally the castle at the very back.

As for whether there was anything worth exploring behind the castle, they had no way of knowing for now.

”Let’s go to the port first,”

Shore said after a moment of thought.

Like most gamers, the two of them were used to trying to cover every part of the map.

Even though they couldn’t be completely thorough on this first run, they felt they should at least try to explore all the major locations.

Since the port was relatively far from the other areas, they decided to start there.

After making their decision, the two moved cautiously toward the left side of the Seaside Town.

”AH!” As they passed a corner, a Living Corpse monster suddenly burst out, pouncing at Shore.

”Son of a bitch! You scared the shit out of me!”

Startled again, Shore couldn’t help but curse.

”You know, seeing an Ordinary little Living Corpse mob like this actually feels kind of familiar,”

Li Miao said.

From the first second he entered this place, he could feel the Madness of this dungeon. It was on a completely different level from the previous Exile Island.

None of these Living Corpse-like townspeople looked remotely normal; they all had Blood Blades stuck in their bodies and were completely crazed.

”I think you’ve got water in your brain.” Shore cursed, rolling his eyes, then complained, ”Let’s hurry up. Be careful around corners. The developers are real morons, always using these Low Level jump scares. No originality at all...”

After that, the two didn’t encounter any more jump-scare monsters or sudden incidents.

But they had to endure the icy sea wind amidst the raging storm, and from time to time, mad whispers drifted from the nearby houses.

The atmosphere was indescribably eerie.

”This way.”

As they neared the port, the two were once again guided by the Spirit Candle, arriving in an alley under some eaves where they lit the Spirit Candle.

”The port is just ahead. Get ready, we might have a tough fight on our hands.”

Li Miao stretched his body, his Law Knight Armor clanking.

”It’d be great if I had the Guard Law Sword’s Magic. The wind-up for this Blood Stone Burst is too long, it’s not suitable for a basic attack.”

Although Shore had already gone through the Fusion with the special Fire Seed of the Iron-faced Warlock, the only Iron-faced Warlock Skill he had mastered was Execution Step. He still hadn’t learned the other one, Executioner’s Hand Blade...

The good news was, thanks to the players’ relentless farming of the Gulard Warship, the Iron-faced Warlock’s Fire Seed and Skills weren’t hard to obtain and could be bought directly.

But the bad news was, the Iron-faced Warlock’s Fire Seed and Skills were very popular with Mage players, and buying them required a hefty amount of Wax Oil.

So for now, Shore could only rely on a combination of Execution Step, Blood Stone Burst, Ghost Claw, and Concealment for his attacks.

”How are you so useless, kid? You can’t even get a Guard Law Sword? Why didn’t you tell your old man sooner?”

Hearing Shore’s complaint, Li Miao immediately spoke with disdain.

”Piss off,”

Shore cursed.

After that, the two, now ready, stood up and headed for the port.

The Spirit Candle rest spot wasn’t far from the port, just around a small bend.

CREAK... CREAK...

Just as they rounded the bend, they heard a new sound.

It was the creaking sound of the hulls of large sailing ships docked at the port, rocking in the waves.

Then, the scene that met their eyes left them somewhat surprised.

A tall Living Corpse holding a big saber and wearing a captain’s hat was leading a squad of Living Corpses, closely watching other Living Corpses carrying crates off a ship.

The information from the Spirit Candle about these monsters was also quite simple, just names like [Big Saber Living Corpse], [Long-Sword Living Corpse], and [Labor Living Corpse].

Their strength was also very weak. Aside from the leading Big Saber Living Corpse, which was Ember Tier, the rest were all Residual Ash Tier.

Li Miao and Shore cautiously observed their surroundings, thinking there might be an ambush.

But after they slaughtered the group of Living Corpses with ease, they suddenly discovered...

It really was just a group of unremarkable mobs.

Li Miao and Shore looked at each other and scratched their heads.

”Something feels off. The Spirit Candle developers are definitely up to no good,” Shore said.

”Who cares? We’ll take it one step at a time,” Li Miao said, walking forward to pick up the drops.

Since the monsters were weak, the Weapon and items they dropped naturally weren’t that great.

However, this [Lord’s Command] didn’t look like a useless item.
