Bizarre Voyage: Summoning The Fourth Crisis

SHHIIING—

Under the immense Power and impact, the ordinarily cumbersome Bloodstained Great Axe now seemed incredibly sharp. It sliced the Blood Robe Priest in half at the waist, sending blood flying.

But the momentum of the Bloodstained Great Axe in Brother Mangzi’s hands didn’t wane, and it cut diagonally into the ground.

The Blood Robe Priest’s body collapsed with a thud.

Unexpectedly, despite suffering such a grievous wound, the Blood Robe Priest wasn’t completely dead.

Its upper body, lying on the ground, waved the Banner in its hand. A pale red, bloody color once again filled the air, obscuring Brother Mangzi’s vision.

”Still not dead!”

Brother Mangzi’s temper flared. Having learned his lesson, he swung the Bloodstained Great Axe and began hacking wildly where the Blood Robe Priest had just disappeared.

In an instant, stone tiles shattered and debris flew everywhere.

He did indeed strike something solid with his next few swings.

However, when the effect on him wore off, all he saw was the mangled corpse of a Sacrificial Living Corpse. From behind him came the low, mocking laughter of the Blood Robe Priest.

He looked back and saw it had somehow teleported behind him, its body, which had been cut in two, automatically rejoining and healing.

In exchange, however, the surrounding Sacrificial Living Corpses were continuously dying.

It was obvious that the Blood Robe Priest could not only confuse their vision but also use the Sacrificial Living Corpses to switch positions and drain their Life Value to replenish its own.

At the same time, Bu Long’s shout came from behind: ”Brother Mangzi, it’s over here!”

As he spoke, he charged toward the Blood Robe Priest amidst the swarm of Sacrificial Living Corpses, managing to block a Blood-colored Shock it was about to unleash on Brother Mangzi.

Brother Mangzi snapped back to his senses and, with a roar, charged at the Blood Robe Priest once more.

The two, now working in concert, began to fight the enemy together.

The Sacrificial Living Corpses present were no match for them, serving only as cannon fodder to block their path.

But the Blood Robe Priest was extremely tricky.

First was its annoying confusion Skill, which could temporarily blind the two of them. Although it didn’t last long, it was enough time for the Priest to reposition or counter-attack.

Brother Mangzi, having already hit his teammate once, now hesitated whenever his vision was obscured.

While this did effectively reduce the friendly fire on Bu Long, it also meant losing opportunities to land a solid blow on the Blood Robe Priest amidst its deceptive illusions.

Second were the hordes of Sacrificial Living Corpses.

Although their Attack Power wasn’t high and their Life Value was low, they were more than enough to act as cannon fodder and obstruct the path. If the two focused on clearing the Living Corpses, the Blood Robe Priest would seize the opportunity to attack.

Even more ridiculously, this Blood Robe Priest could also summon more Sacrificial Living Corpses, making it a perpetual motion machine of sorts...

Under these circumstances, even though the Blood Robe Priest wasn’t using any particularly lethal Magic, Bu Long and Brother Mangzi’s conditions were steadily declining as they were worn down. They were even at risk of running out of Physical Strength and being killed by attrition.

’What do we do?’

Brother Mangzi and Bu Long were clearly not players with particularly strong Insight or tactical thinking Abilities.

A frustrating boss like this played right into their weaknesses.

Sure enough, a short while later, Brother Mangzi, whose Warfire and Physical Strength had both bottomed out, was caught by a sneak attack from the Blood Robe Priest and instantly turned into Wax Ash.

”This is so damn annoying!”

Watching the Blood Robe Priest dart back and forth like a phantom, Brother Mangzi gritted his teeth.

Seeing this, Bu Long, who was barely holding on, felt something was wrong and yelled, ”Brother Mangzi, you go in! I’ll call out its position for you! We need some tactics!”

Hearing this, Brother Mangzi took a deep breath, nodded, said, ”Okay,” and immediately went back to resurrect.

Bu Long began a fighting retreat, buying time for Brother Mangzi to resurrect and retrieve his Wax Ash.

Before long, Brother Mangzi rejoined the battlefield, once again wielding his Bloodstained Great Axe.

He locked his gaze firmly on the Blood Robe Priest again.

’This time, I have to kill it!’

With a furious roar, Brother Mangzi raised his Bloodstained Great Axe again, turning into a reckless meat grinder, chopping down anyone or anything that stood in his way.

After getting close to the Blood Robe Priest, it, as expected, raised its Banner and pulled the same old trick.

”Die!”

Without a second thought, Brother Mangzi swung his axe several times at the empty air.

Instantly, flesh and blood flew, and the Blood Robe Priest’s figure was forced to appear.

But the next moment, it raised its hand to once again release a bloody mist to confuse his vision, transforming into a red cloud and swapping places with a Sacrificial Living Corpse.

If this had been before, this move might have had some effect.

But now...

It was even more effective.

Because...

”The group of Living Corpses on the right!”

The Blood Robe Priest’s confusion couldn’t block the sound. Hearing Bu Long’s voice, Brother Mangzi immediately swung his axe viciously at the Blood Robe Priest he saw on his left.

BANG!

With another loud bang, Bu Long’s body was sent flying again. He grimaced, a tightness in his chest.

At the same time, Brother Mangzi also took rebound damage from hitting Bu Long.

Since his Attack Power was extremely high but his Blood Volume wasn’t particularly so, the rebound from this blow left him feeling pretty bad as well.

After getting a clear look at his target, he froze on the spot.

’How did I hit the wrong one again?’

”The right... the right...”

”It was on the right! Isn’t this my right-hand side?”

”I meant *my* right!” Bu Long clutched his chest as he struggled to stand up.

”...”

But before they could say any more, the Blood Robe Priest’s assault came again.

Then, the Blood Robe Priest pulled the same old trick again.

BANG!

This time, Bu Long turned directly into a pile of Wax Ash, becoming a Wandering Soul staring face-to-face with Brother Mangzi.

”Didn’t you say it was on your left?” ×2
