I Married the President

Chapter 599: Chapter 599: These Are the Rules

Adrian Quincy took her hand. ”The blood test results should be out. Let’s go take a look.”

”Mhm!”

They went to collect the blood test results and showed the report to the doctor. The doctor said her routine blood work was normal, gave her some instructions, and finally prescribed Claire a box of folic acid tablets.

When Claire returned home that day, she was so exhausted that she immediately lay down, but she couldn’t seem to fall asleep.

Adrian Quincy had taken her home and then left, apparently for some urgent matter at his residence.

Since Claire really couldn’t sleep, she picked up her phone and sent a message to Faye Dean: Faye, how are you?

Faye Dean: I’ve confirmed it, I’m pregnant. And I booked a flight for tomorrow night. I’m coming back to stay with you.

Claire Sinclair immediately asked: Who’s the father!!!

Faye Dean: Um... Frank... Morgan...

Claire: ...

For a moment, Claire felt the urge to go find Frank Morgan and make him answer for this, but she hadn’t seen him once since she’d returned to the country.

Faye Dean: What’s wrong?

Claire: I haven’t seen him at all since I got back. No idea what he’s been up to.

Faye Dean: Haha, is he keeping that low a profile?

Claire: I’ll ask Mr. Quincy for you.

Claire then sent a message to Adrian Quincy: Mr. Quincy, where is Frank Morgan right now?

After waiting for a long time, The Great Demon King Quincy finally replied: He’s in confinement. Why?

’Confinement...’

Claire: Did he do something wrong?

Adrian Quincy: Yeah.

Claire: What was it???

Adrian Quincy: He requested it himself. Said he made a mistake, but wouldn’t say what when I asked.

’So that’s what happened.’

’His so-called mistake... must be getting Faye pregnant, right?’

Claire: Then when can he get out?

Adrian Quincy: He can’t get out for now. At least three years. That’s the rule.

’Three years???’

’Faye’s kid will be in preschool by then!’

Claire immediately replied: Can I ask you to make an exception for him?

Adrian Quincy: You’d better not.

Claire: Then I might have to argue with you about this.

Adrian Quincy: Reason?

Claire: That Morgan guy knocked up my best friend. You tell me what should be done.

Adrian Quincy didn’t reply.

Claire raised an eyebrow. ’What does this silence mean?’

Just as she was about to ask, Adrian Quincy suddenly sent a message: Frank Morgan is in a very dangerous situation right now. He could be killed at any moment if he gets out. Locking him up is for his own protection. If your best friend is willing, she can go in and stay with him, but it’s not so easy to get out once you’re in.

Claire was silent for a moment, then asked: Is the place he’s being held a prison?

Adrian Quincy: A training camp.

’Well, that’s not so bad...’

’Still, knowing Faye’s personality, she probably wouldn’t like a place like that.’

Claire: I’ll discuss it with Faye.

Adrian Quincy: Mhm.

Claire then forwarded The Great Demon King Quincy’s message to Faye Dean, word for word.

Faye thought about it for a long time before finally replying: In that case, I’d rather not go back and look for him. I don’t want to get locked up.

Claire: What about the baby then?

Faye Dean: Maybe... I’ll get rid of it.

Claire: Could you really do that?

Faye Dean: I don’t know. I need to calm down and think. I’ll tell you when I have an answer.

Claire: Okay.

’Faye will definitely think this through properly.’

Claire sighed, suddenly feeling powerless to help. She couldn’t influence Faye’s choice; otherwise, if Faye regretted it in the future, she would blame herself for the rest of her life.

Sigh...

Two days of the three-day break went by in a flash. With nothing else to do, Claire decided to go to the supermarket for a big grocery run.

Just as she arrived at the entrance to the supermarket, before she could even start shopping, she ran into someone... Mrs. Quincy.
