Ghost Catching System

Ghosts fear the living, as the saying goes. When a person’s Yang Qi is too strong, ghosts will go out of their way to avoid them.

Another type of person that ghosts fear is the brutal and the wicked, whose ferocity can truly terrify a ghost.

Chu Hao was not wicked; he was just being overbearing now.

When the DJ turned off the music, Chu Hao picked up the microphone, stood on the stage, and swept his cold gaze over the crowd as he boldly said, ”In this life, pretentiousness is like the wind, ever present by my side!”

”What I mean to say is, all the ghosts present here are trash, dregs, waste, maggots from a toilet.”

”DING... Host’s pretentiousness blows like the wind, earning 300 Pretentiousness Points.”

As soon as Chu Hao’s voice fell, all the ghosts were infuriated; at least ninety percent of the people stood up, their faces a shifting canvas of anger—shades of green and purple—all incredibly eerie.

Brother Rulai observed the expressions of those around him. Their faces changed colors like a television switching channels—red, green, white, blue—scaring him considerably.

Especially after hearing Chu Hao talk about the ghosts in the audience.

Damn it, at least ninety percent of the crowd is angry—are these people all ghosts?

Chu Hao sneered and waved his hand, ”Baby Diao Chan, Loach, I’ll leave this place to you.”

Diao Chan appeared, her grace unparalleled, beautiful as a fairy. With a gentle smile, she nodded, ”Yes.”

Ghost Dragon Qiu was a little dismayed, inwardly cursing Chu Hao for calling her Loach again. Qiu longed to level up; once she became powerful, she would make this former master regret it.

Qiu’s plump body transformed into a dark shadow, moving extremely quickly, just like a loach in water.

She could be seen passing through one person after another, the Flirty Female Ghosts within them devoured completely, leaving not a trace.

”DING... Qiu killed a Flirty Female Ghost, gained 5,000 Experience Points. Host gains 5,000 Experience Points.”

”DING... Qiu killed a Flirty Female Ghost, gained 5,000 Experience Points. Host gains 5,000 Experience Points.”

”DING... Qiu killed a Flirty Female Ghost, gained 5,000 Experience Points. Host gains 5,000 Experience Points.”

”DING...”

Diao Chan smiled faintly, enchanting all beings. She bent down, an ancient zither appearing in her hands, and began to play and sing.

Instantly, the crowd went mad as if afflicted by Tang Seng’s tightening-incantation, squatting on the ground and screaming in agony.

”AH!”

The sound was piercing, unlike human screams.

Some people even had three or four different voices issuing from their mouths.

Brother Rulai was so scared he nearly wet himself. He ran to Chu Hao and stammered in fear, ”Brother... what... what in the world is going on here?”

Chu Hao glanced disdainfully at Little Fatty and said, ”Are you stupid? These people are all ghosts.”

Little Fatty immediately turned deathly pale. This nightclub was full of ghosts?

What the hell!!

Have I been partying with ghosts for the past three months?

Brother Rulai’s vision blurred, and he nearly fainted.

Chu Hao stepped off the stage, grabbed a Flirty Female Ghost, and coldly asked, ”Where is the Flirty Ghost King?”

”In... in the basement.”

The Flirty Ghost led the way, and Chu Hao quickly arrived at the so-called basement.

It was a long corridor, crowded with people—women, men, all sorts of non-conformists—all lost in revelry, smoking and drinking, completely engrossed as if this place were a human paradise.

Chu Hao’s eyes narrowed. These were all living people, already ensnared here, unable to extricate themselves, just waiting to be slaughtered by the Flirty Ghost King.

A group of pitiful people.

”How dare you living humans trespass here!” boomed a Female Ghost, her Ghost Qi formidable. She wore heavy makeup, red lips, and revealing clothes.

Judging by the level of her Ghost Qi, she had to be a Fierce Ghost.

Chu Hao sneered, ”How dare I? This Taoist Master has come specifically to annihilate you.”

As the Female Fierce Ghost lunged at him, he didn’t even bother to take out the Night Demon Umbrella. Instead, he formed a Sword Finger Talisman, its killing aura fierce and imposing.

The Female Fierce Ghost twisted her body and lunged, her face savage, like a demonic harpy.

But how could she match Chu Hao’s speed? With a sidestep, he avoided her pounce, his fingers piercing straight through the Female Fierce Ghost’s forehead.

”AHH!” the Female Fierce Ghost let out a bloodcurdling scream. A hole had been punched through her brow, precisely where the Ghost Heart was located. She instantly turned to ash and was annihilated.

”DING... Host has slain a Fierce Ghost, gaining 100,000 Experience Points.”

The experience points from Fierce Ghosts could no longer satisfy him.

As he walked onward, the corridor ahead flickered with light. He saw countless Ghost Shadows with gruesome, pale faces staring at him, emitting series of shrieks.

An ordinary person would probably have been scared half to death already, but Chu Hao said pretentiously, ”You Xiao Gui think you can stop this Taoist Master?”

He drew out the Yin Yang Sword and executed a Sword Qi Slash. Instantly, the ghosts in front screamed in agony again.

”DING... Slain an Evil Ghost, gained 5,000 Experience Points.”

”DING... Slain an Evil Ghost, gained 5,000 Experience Points.”

”DING... Slain an Evil Ghost, gained 5,000 Experience Points.”

”DING... Evil Ghost dropped an Evil Ghost Pill, which has been collected into the inventory.”

The Ghost Shadows were immediately terrified, scrambling away like headless flies.

Chu Hao released Sadako and commanded, ”Kill them all. Leave none alive.”

On this dark and windy night, with the mournful howl of the wind, the lair of the Flirty Ghost King was destined for upheaval.

Diao Chan and Qiu also joined the massacre. These Flirtatious Ghosts deserved no pity; they had dominated this place for years, absorbing an unknown amount of Yang Qi from people and killing countless individuals.

It had to be said, there were an overwhelming number of ghosts here; calling it a ghost nest was no exaggeration.

”DING... Diao Chan has slain a Fierce Ghost, gaining 100,000 Experience Points. Host gains 100,000 Experience Points.”

”DING... Fierce Ghost dropped an item, Ghost Spike, which has been collected into the inventory.”

Item: Ghost Spike

Rarity: ★

Ability: Ten Ghost Spikes, increases the lethality of fingernails (equipable by Ghost Servants)

Ever since the System upgrade, the equipment display had drastically changed, becoming much clearer.

Diao Chan was really lucky to have looted such a fine piece of equipment. Chu Hao immediately had Sadako equip it.

With the Ghost Spike equipped, Sadako’s ten fingers seemed to grow a layer of black fingernails, sharper than knives, somewhat resembling Freddy from Elm Street.

”DING... Sadako equips Ghost Spike, gains 100 points of Strength.”

Fierce Ghost: Yamamura Sadako

Level: 4

Strength: 280

Agility: 180

Intelligence: 180

Skills: Seven-Day Curse of Death, Ultrasonic Waves, Psychokinesis, Doppelganger.

Sadako’s strength rose to another level, her combat power going off the charts. Once she caught up to a ghost, there was no escape.

Two Ghost Servants and one pet—they would slay any ghost or god that stood in their way.

”DING... Pet Qiu has leveled up to Level 5.”

Young Ghost Dragon: Qiu (Female)

Strength: 75

Agility: 75

After leveling up, Qiu’s appearance changed as if she had evolved. Her originally plump, loach-like body turned slender and changed color. Now over a meter long and wreathed in Ghost Qi, she finally had the aura of a small netherworld dragon.

Qiu was ecstatic. Her killing was the most frenzied, wishing all the experience points here were hers.

She even muttered to herself, ”I have to get stronger! I have to get stronger! I don’t want to be a loach, ahhh!”

A group of Flirtatious Ghosts was sent scattering, chased by her all over the place.

The child was completely unhinged.
