I just wanted you to make a movie: You made a Honkai Star Rail movie

Just like that, the two of them snuggled together, immersing themselves in the viewing experience.

Watching the Myriad Celestia Trailer from an ordinary viewer’s perspective...

On the tablet screen.

As the screen turned black, MiHoYo’s logo appeared.

Then, without any warning or background music—

A loud explosion erupted.

”Fugitive hailing from the Harbeck clan of Nashoba, Hanunuee.”

”In Amber Era 2147, you single-handedly orchestrated the great turmoil in the Montour System.”

”Given the irreparable damage you’ve caused, according to the internal decision of the Interastral Peace Corporation, you are sentenced to life imprisonment. You will serve your sentence in the Asdana’s frontier prison.”

-----------------------------------

The solemn voice fell.

The Honkai: Star Rail logo followed closely, appearing on the screen.

Then, silence.

A moment later, the screen lit up.

On a desolate planet, a towering werewolf covered in white fur, with a fierce gaze, was being escorted by several IPC employees toward a building.

”I didn’t expect this notorious criminal to be sent here.”

”Sigh, like we don’t already have enough high-profile criminals here?”

The IPC employees escorting Hanunue chatted idly behind him.

Meanwhile, the audience watching had just tuned in and were still chatting in the comment section, discussing miHoYo’s retreat from the day before.

The relaxed atmosphere was instantly shattered when they saw Hanunue’s true form, leaving them completely dumbfounded.

Everyone was stunned.

In the game they played, Hanunue was depicted as a short figure wearing black sunglasses, a suit, and exuding the vibe of a tough guy.

Who could have guessed that, in reality, he was actually a werewolf?

...

: What the hell? Hanunue is a werewolf?”

: Damn, he looks this cool? This isn’t like the version we played!”

: Crap, we got deceived by the fictional historians again. Can we even trust any of the information about Penacony’s history that we’ve seen?”

: No way, he’s kinda cool. The contrast is insane—I really thought Hanunue was just a tiny guy.”

: I’m losing it—my first reaction was: ’Hi, hubby.’”

...

This surprising opening instantly grabbed the audience’s attention, stopping their idle comments and making them focus intently.

After all, this installment of Myriad Celestia Trailer was titled Dreams of the Past, the same name as the previous game.

There was bound to be important information hidden within.

As the story progressed, the escort scene provided insight into the distant past— The true Penacony, long before the current era.

Aside from a massive prison facility built around an area dense with Memory Essence, most of the planet was barren and desolate.

However, once Hanunue was imprisoned, this desolation transformed into a hive of activity.

The enormous prison was practically a small nation of its own.

Countless criminals were held there, forced to dredge Memory Matter for the Garden of Recollection.

After being thrown into prison, Hanunue seamlessly integrated into the system, joining the countless inmates in their daily toil under the strict surveillance of the wardens.

There, rows upon rows of tightly packed spherical devices stretched endlessly into the distance.

Their appearance was strikingly familiar to the audience.

...

: Wait a sec, isn’t that the same vehicle the Silver Knight uses?

: Holy crap, so the original concept actually came from here?

: That actually makes sense—after all, the later animations were meant to symbolize present times.

: It’s fascinating how history, though preserved, gets twisted and reinterpreted in different ways.

: Classic Honkai: Star Rail—such incredible attention to detail!

...

Hanunue’s first work experience was far from ideal.

Despite being a large and strong-willed werewolf, even he struggled.

The rigid curved interior, the unbearable rolling sensation, and the daily torment of grueling labor—

It was truly a case of ”going to work feels like being in prison.”

Yet no matter what he faced, Hanunue always responded with a simple grunt, filled with various emotions.

A detail that mirrored his portrayal in later animations.

For the next week, Hanunue didn’t take any unnecessary actions—he simply worked.

But in reality, he was carefully observing the prison’s entire ecosystem,

How it functioned, where supplies came from, who controlled production resources...

And most importantly, what kind of people made up the massive inmate population.

Through his observations and conversations with fellow inmates (mostly consisting of them venting while he grunted in response), he gained a clearer picture of the real Penacony.

Many prisoners were unjustly incarcerated, there was no such thing as human rights here.

Starvation and cold were common grievances, widely accepted as the norm.

On top of that, the prison guards frequently tortured and abused inmates for amusement.

The physical suffering was one thing, but the psychological torment—the loss of freedom and dignity— was what broke the prisoners the most.

Hanunue’s week of observations largely confirmed these accounts, except for the claim of ”wrongful imprisonment,” which remained questionable.

Even though many inmates spoke with tears in their eyes while lamenting their fates, Hanunue knew that the guy in front of him was a con artist.

A master at getting people to hand over their money willingly.

He just happened to scam the wrong middle-level manager from the IPC— which ultimately landed him here.

So Hanunue still had doubts about some of the statements.

But what was undeniable was that this prison was indeed ”full of talent.”

Hanunue, classified as an ”extremely dangerous criminal” for planning galactic turmoil and attempting to overthrow local order, was on the wanted list of the IPC’s frontier prison.

There were also ruthless figures who had stormed into corporations alone, attempting to seize the Amber King’s gold.

Some were skilled in deception and fraud, even managing to swindle an entire interstellar civilization’s treasury.

Others had massacred half of a primitive civilization just to proclaim themselves as the next Aeon.

In short, there were many such extremely dangerous criminals.

But at the same time, there were also many ordinary people who might have only made minor mistakes, yet were locked up in this place, never to see the light of day again.

And within this prison, a crucible of chaos, the IPC’s management approach essentially amounted to a massive social Darwinism experiment.

Even with food and medicine shortages, high-intensity labor was still enforced across different districts.

Those who managed to survive in good health were all extraordinarily resilient individuals.

Thus, when a fictional historian was constructing history, they once mocked Hanunue, saying, ”The frontier prison is also known as little hell.”

To this, Hanunue merely let out a cold snort.

As the first week passed, Hanunue began his covert actions.

In addition to gathering intelligence, he actively connected with other inmates.

During this process, he encountered a large number of political prisoners.

Most of these individuals were local residents of a planet’s government, but because their government collaborated with the IPC, their attempts to fight for their rights were labeled as riots, leading to their imprisonment here.

These people were the backbone of resistance.

Meanwhile, those from all walks of life assisted Hanunue in various ways.

Some hacked into the prison’s surveillance system, while others secretly hid production materials and manually crafted weapons.

Some even managed to deceive the prison guards, smuggling in essential supplies.

It was truly a case of ”each demonstrating their own unique talents.”

The audience couldn’t hold back their comments,

...

: As expected, prison is really full of talent.

: Damn, this is killing me with laughter. The IPC really has guts, locking up all these geniuses here. If I were the warden, I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night.

: That con artist is insane, damn, he completely tricked the prison guards.

: They probably just lacked a leader before, but now with a genius like Hanunue, who has successfully orchestrated a turmoil before, the quality of their rebellion has instantly leveled up...
