I just wanted you to make a movie: You made a Honkai Star Rail movie

It signified that once Saturday arrived, the usual internet would collapse completely, flooded with discussions about Honkai: Star Rail’s plot.

Coincidentally, this also served as a clever play on the title of the show itself.

...

Inside MiHoYo’s offices, a grand celebration was being held.

Amidst the excited anticipation of the everyone, Xia Wen announced a piece of news that made everyone both nervous and eager—

That is, upcoming real-world events...

-------------------------------

”Hehe, the internet is filled with discussions about us!”

”Silver Wolf, Silver Wolf, how’s the data looking?”

”Hehe, this second episode was amazing, the internet is now full of wails and cries.”

In the screening room, a few girls gathered together, holding their drinks, drinking as they surrounded Silver Wolf.

But Silver Wolf’s face was flushed red.

And she was a little angry.

Because beauties like Tingyun and Bronya were sticking to her so closely.

That soft, warm, bouncy sensation made Silver Wolf’s breathing a little erratic, and she was also a little mad!

These guys must be doing this on purpose!

”Ahem! You guys! Give me some space already!” Silver Wolf struggled hard but ended up crashing into something massive, almost making her unable to breathe.

Looking up, she saw the slightly blushing and somewhat shy Firefly softly saying, ”Um, Silver Wolf, can I take a look at my data stats?”

Silver Wolf was already about to curse.

Why? Why is Firefly so big too?!

She looks so delicate and weak!

But despite her thoughts, Silver Wolf still nodded at the poor girl’s request and helplessly said, ”Alright, but give me some space first, I can’t even take out my phone.”

”Oh no, we forgot about that.”

Tingyun and the others finally realized and quickly let go of Silver Wolf.

They had gotten too excited.

Although they could see discussions about Honkai: Star Rail online, detailed traffic data was something only those within their limited circle could access.

The beautiful girls sat around Silver Wolf, watching her operate her phone with eager eyes.

Moments later, Silver Wolf sent the information to everyone’s phones.

Her previously flushed face also returned to normal as she entered work mode.

Looking at the data in her hands, she nodded slightly,

”As expected, Honkai: Star Rail’s traffic is skyrocketing right now.”

”Our core audience has now steadily surpassed 100 million worldwide.”

Another wave of admiration filled the room.

The company’s internal professionals, like Sunday and Furina, had explained before,

For cultural products, the ratio of core to general audiences is typically 1:10.

For example, the classic drama Journey to the West.

Its core audience may be in the hundreds of millions, but beyond that, almost every person knows about it and its story.

That is: Not everyone may have fully watched it, but everyone has at least seen parts of it.

And even those who haven’t watched it have at least heard of it in various forms.

Its influence even extended to all over the world.

And now, in just six months, Honkai: Star Rail has already amassed over 100 million core viewers, with its influence spreading across the world.

Its cultural impact, amplified by the internet, was remarkable.

It still had some distance to go before reaching the most classic works, but at this moment, it was undoubtedly the top 1.

”The rankings are basically irrelevant now.”

”There’s no competition.”

Silver Wolf was quite proud.

Although she didn’t have many scenes in the series, she was the operations director of miHoYo.

”With this, we can at least have some peace of mind.”

Tingyun finally let out a sigh of relief, a charming smile of reassurance appearing on her face.

Just moments ago, Xia Wen had proposed miHoYo’s next plan,

”A cultural + storytelling combo to strike global audience pain points, focus on character depth, find key leverage, establish methodologies, refine operations, and empower Honkai: Star Rail further.”

”It sounds so complicated, but basically, we’re going to take things to the next level, right?”

Just recalling Xia Wen’s words made Tingyun feel dizzy.

That was why they felt uneasy and wanted to check the data with Silver Wolf.

This data was their confidence.

After all, miHoYo was different from the traditional entertainment industry.

They had no prior experience in this field.

”But no matter what, our boss will take good care of us, right?”

Firefly clenched her little fists and said.

”He will.”

Looking at Firefly’s face, Silver Wolf and Tingyun both nodded.

They exchanged a cautious glance.

Both of them thought about Firefly’s condition.

No one knew if the boss had found a solution yet.

...

While the girls gathered together, at the bar next door, Gallagher was busy.

Xia Wen, Aventurine, and Jing Yuan sat at the bar, sipping on cocktails made by Gallagher.

”Come on, let’s toast to victory.” Xia Wen smiled, raising his glass to the other two.

After taking a satisfied sip, Aventurine shrugged and said to Gallagher, ”You sure have nerves of steel. The entire internet is talking about you right now, and you’re still acting indifferent?”

”What’s there to be proud of? I’d rather be hiding.”

Gallagher sighed, taking a sip of his drink and said bitterly, ”I’m just a bartender, I never had big ambitions. Who knew the boss would give me such an important role? Now, I don’t even dare step outside.”

”Hahaha, but when watching the final scene in the screening room just now, your expression and laughter were even more villainous than the actual villain.”

Aventurine shrugged and laughed.

”No choice, the boss’s script was practically putting me to sleep.”

Jing Yuan smiled faintly. He deeply agreed.

”By the way, boss, we’re attending that ceremony tomorrow, right?”

At that moment, Aventurine suddenly remembered and asked.

”Mm, we have to go.”

”Everyone from the Xianzhou team has to come with me too.”

”The company’s operations, the PV, and the airing of Myriad Celestia Trailer—I’ll leave it to you all for now.”

Xiang Wen looked at Aventurine who was now one of the three business consultants for MiHoYo.

Everyone in the company had basically recognized him as the core of the commercial department.

Naturally, Aventurine and the others were more than happy with this arrangement.

”Don’t worry, boss. But if I achieve something, you have to remember my proposal.”

Speaking of this, Aventurine looked excited.

He planned to bring the Interasteral Peace Corporation, which only existed in fiction, into reality.

Leveraging the Honkai: Star Rail series, he believed it was entirely feasible.

His idea was quite simple.

Making more money for MiHoYo was his way of contributing.

”Alright, I’ll be looking forward to it.”

Xiang Wen responded with a smile.

Just as he was about to say more, his phone suddenly lit up with a message.

It was from Ruan Mei.

This woman’s personality was exactly the same as in the series.

Her reason for joining the company was actually because Ningguang had promised her special research conditions.

Additionally, she had a deep interest in Entropy Loss Syndrome and saw Firefly as a valuable ”sample,” which led her to come here.

Previously, after filming her scenes, Ruan Mei had thrown herself into research.

She had taken some of Firefly’s blood, and now, the test results were out.

However, in her message, Ruan Mei didn’t reveal the details—she simply asked Xia Wen to bring Firefly to her.

Seeing this, the smile on Xia Wen’s face gradually faded.

After saying goodbye to the others, he got up, found Firefly in the screening room, and took her out of the company.

”Boss?” Although happy to be invited by Xia Wen, Firefly was confused about why they had to leave the company.

”It’s about your condition. Ruan Mei has news.”

After hearing this, Firefly’s face instantly turned pale.

For a moment, she felt both anticipation and fear, not daring to ask whether the news was good or bad.

After a brief pause, Firefly nodded, her eyes filled with determination.

”I understand. Thank you, boss. So... so are we going to see Sister Ruan Mei now?”

For a terminal illness like hers, most people would be filled with anxiety upon hearing such news.

But in Firefly’s eyes, there was no fear—only calm acceptance.

Xiang Wen sighed silently in his heart.

Such a resolute gaze and determination shouldn’t have appeared in a girl so young.

He didn’t say much more. He simply drove her to the research institute.

In the car, Firefly acted differently than usual.

Normally, whenever she thought about her illness, she would sink into a depressed mood.

But today was different.

She talked endlessly the whole way.

At the same time, her eyes greedily took in the city scenery outside the window, as if imprinting everything in her memory.

About ten minutes later, they arrived at the research institute.

This building, funded by Ningguang, was truly grand.

After parking the car, Xia Wen led Firefly to the top-floor office.

Inside, Ruan Mei, dressed in a white lab coat, was organizing documents.

”You’re here? Just in time. I have the latest data.”

Ruan Mei’s tone was calm as she glanced at Firefly behind Xia Wen.

”How is it?” Xia Wen asked as he gently patted Firefly’s head.

Ruan Mei handed them a report without caring whether they could understand it. She explained matter-of-factly,

”Firefly, as the longest-living Entropy Loss Syndrome patient, is a miracle. But miracles always have an end.”

”Her body is gradually deteriorating—at most, she has three months left.”

”In the first month, she will feel energetic, healthier than ever before.”

”...”

”In the second month, she will start experiencing fatigue.”

”In the third month, she will first lose her sense of pain, then her sense of taste, and eventually, complete control over her body—her hands, feet, legs, followed by her tongue, eyelids, and finally, even the ability to move her eyeballs.”

Ruan Mei stated these facts without any emotion.

With simple words, she sealed Firefly’s fate down to the smallest details.

A heavy silence filled the room.

”Three months?” Xia Wen couldn’t believe it.

Ruan Mei nodded. She was one of the most authoritative experts in this field.

Firefly opened her mouth but couldn’t make a sound.

Only Xia Wen took a deep breath before speaking seriously,

”What about targeted drugs? I heard that research in this area has made some progress.”

”Other means of survival will also be prepared immediately.”

”I’ll call my sister to discuss it; she might have other solutions.”

At this moment, panic was of no use.

Xia Wen’s mind was unprecedentedly calm, and in an instant, he conveyed everything he could to the doctor.

”it’s okay Boss...” Just as Xia Wen was about to say more, Firefly tugged at his sleeve.

She looked up, her face showing no fear or worry. Instead, she let out a sigh of relief and smiled sincerely.

”Not having to live in constant fear is actually quite nice.”

”Three more months... I’m already satisfied.”

Firefly spoke with absolute seriousness. She truly felt that way.

In the past, she had always worried about how much longer she could live.

But after Ruan Mei gave her verdict, she felt an unprecedented sense of relief—at least she no longer had to live in fear.

”Don’t say such things. How could there be no way? There must be. Just stay at ease.”

Xia Wen was momentarily stunned, then smiled.

Even in this situation, he forced himself to appear relaxed.

”Alright!”

Firefly naturally saw through Xia Wen’s deliberate ease.

Being cared for like this made her happy, and she smiled as well.

She nodded and said, ”Then... I’ll wait outside. Boss, I want to visit the research institute. I’ve never seen one in my life.”

She wanted to seize the time to see more things she hadn’t seen before.

”Alright.”

Xia Wen nodded gently.

After watching Firefly leave, a voice suddenly came from behind him—it was Ruan Mei.

”She should have heard everything before leaving.”

Xia Wen turned around in surprise and looked at Ruan Mei. ”What do you mean?”

”The targeted drug will be ready next month.” Ruan Mei said calmly.

”You f***ing...”
