250 Chapter 250: The Big Baddie Xia Wen and the Little Baddie Silver Wolf 2026-10-17

”Ah, no, I was just... preparing myself.” Seeing this expression, Xia Wen immediately rubbed his temples and forced a smile: ”You did great, really great. No problem. Alright, I’ll start eating now.”

”That’s good!” Firefly cheered up again, looking happily at the array of snacks on the table, silently thinking to herself—

”The book says that men in love need to replenish their nutrition like crazy.”

”Boss seems to have a big appetite, so this should be just right.”

”I’ll order some more later. Oh, and another pot of water!”

”Sure enough, seeing the boss devouring the food like this, he must be really fond of me!”

------------------------------------

Just like that, under Firefly’s expectant gaze.

Xia Wen went through an unimaginable night.

What was supposed to be a sweet date ended with nothing but severe stomach pain.

Chocolate, barbecue, iced watermelon, sweet and sour chicken, sour soup, spicy squid.

Xia Wen could hardly imagine what kind of ”romantic” novel Firefly had been reading.

But luckily.

After finishing the meal, Firefly gave up on ordering another round.

Because it was already very late.

After returning to the company with Xia Wen, Firefly reluctantly bid farewell.

Today’s ”date.”

No matter what, Firefly was absolutely satisfied.

Inside the dormitory.

Because MiHoYo’s new company had a huge premises, Firefly was also given a private room.

But inside her room, there was almost no decor, only the simplest basic appliances.

And some things she had brought over from the old company.

Most of them were gifts from friends.

Of course.

There was also a youthful romance novel given to her by a lovely and innocent fellow patient, who had since passed away, during her treatment period.

”My Love Life Has Some Problems.”

Firefly was happily flipping through the book.

She wasn’t the least bit sleepy.

”How strange, why is the title ’My Love Life Has Some Problems’?”

”According to following what was mentioned in the book, the boss clearly looked very happy.”

As she read through the book, she was already deeply immersed.

To her, this book was practically divine.

She was determined to put the ”experience” in the book into practice.

”Mm... I can’t read anymore, I have to sleep. Tomorrow, I have to go somewhere far away with the boss.”

”I’m so excited!”

Firefly turned off the light and lay in bed, gradually falling asleep.

In a daze.

She recalled everything that had happened today.

And Ruan Mei’s words.

Regarding the fact that her life was approaching its end.

She personally felt surprisingly okay, even somewhat relieved.

At least now there was a definite timeline, and she no longer had to live in constant fear.

Instead, in the coming month, she wanted to experience more emotions while all five of her senses were still intact!

...

Meanwhile, in Xia Wen’s room.

He was lying in his office chair with a pained expression, tapping frantically on his phone screen.

First, he pieced together the fragments Firefly had mentioned.

Then, he sent them to Silver Wolf.

Asking her to help find the name of this book.

This was unbelievable.

He really wanted to ask the author in person what kind of state they were in when they wrote such a book.

To the point where Firefly was using it as a technical manual and applying it to him.

And this kind of life... would last for a month.

”I have to find a way to get Firefly to learn something normal.”

”If this goes on, I swear I’ll die.”

After venting his frustration.

Xia Wen raised his wrist and looked at the colorful woven cord on it.

A girl’s thoughts were almost entirely poured into it.

He recalled everything that had happened today.

She was clearly a naturally delicate and shy girl.

Yet she forced herself to courageously push through her shyness to try new things.

Saying he wasn’t moved would be a lie.

Otherwise, he wouldn’t have eaten so much just to avoid disappointing her.

”I hope things go well on Ruan Mei’s end.”

”This illness must be cured!”

Xia Wen silently made up his mind.

With that thought.

He got up, turned on his computer, and started making backup plans.

Using both his own resources and those of his sister, he worked to eliminate the obstacles ahead.

After a busy session, he finally felt a little more at ease, and only then did he have the energy to deal with company matters.

First, as usual, he browsed the internet.

Checking the audience’s feedback on Episode 2.

As expected, everywhere he looked, the trending topics were dominated by Honkai: Star Rail.

Gallagher.

Acheron.

Sunday.

From character discussions to overarching themes.

There were even professionals analyzing the next plot developments from perspectives of music, cinematography, architecture, and even philosophy.

Some viewers even discovered new mysteries.

For example, the segment involving Aventurine.

Without the support of the black-clad individuals, the Avgin people wouldn’t have launched a counterattack and clashed head-on with the Katica people.

But on that very day, this group of black-clad individuals mysteriously vanished.

And Sigonia itself was established as a federation under the IPC’s intervention.

But why didn’t the Avgin and Katica people join?

IPC employees could make it rain in Sigonia.

Yet, both recorded instances of artificial rainfall occurred precisely when the Avgin people were undergoing upheaval.

Was it a coincidence?

Or had the Market Expansion Department discovered some fundamental phenomena about Sigonia?

After all, for a planet like Sigonia, the IPC could have easily developed it.

But instead, they waited until after the massacre had ended.

Just announced the official completion of the expansion.

The men in black, who are employees of the Market Expansion Department, have acted in a way that is full of conspiracy theories.

And in the final Interasteral peace broadcast revealed that the head of the Market Expansion Department was actually a former Nameless.

The audience finds it hard to imagine that a department led by a Nameless would do such things.

There are many similar discussions:

No matter how many times Xia Wen sees such a grand scene, he still feels emotional.

But unfortunately, among the many amazing discussions about the plot direction of Episode 3, Xia Wen has read for a long time, yet only a few really hit the mark.

...

: Blind guess— the ending will likely still involve a battle against Nihility, but Acheron may not actually be a villain, just that the Path of Nihility itself is too extreme.

: It could also be a power struggle between the IPC and Harmony.

: Aren’t the biggest villains those three Nameless? Even now, there’s still no detailed intel on them, but all the clues point to the truth behind Penacony.

: Agreed. I also think that if there really has to be a well-placed villain, it’s probably those three Nameless. Other than them, no one else in Penacony seems suspect.

: Not necessarily. After all, we still don’t know who the traitor within The Family is!

: The information from Robin clearly states that the traitor is one of the four family heads! And right now, the only ones who know about this are Sunday and Robin!

: I’m just afraid that in the next episode, Sunday will be silenced! After all, in the traitor’s eyes, Robin has already been shut up, and Sunday is the only one left!

: That’s true!

: I actually think the villain isn’t that important in the Penacony arc. The exciting part is how the different factions play out their motives and schemes on this stage.

: This kind of development itself is the source of the story’s conflict.

...

Xia Wen looked at these comments and fell into deep thought.

Still hidden too deep.

Or rather, this feeling was originally meant to be part of the version experience of the Expedition Zone.

But due to the existence of an internal traitor in another timeline, many clues have become invalid.

From a pure storytelling perspective, the hints on Sunday’s side are quite obvious.

Not to mention those lines filled with dominance and control.

For example, every time Sunday appears, that unique oppressive style.

It’s already full of clues.

But looking at it now, one would need solid expertise and keen perception to notice them.

”...” It’s hidden this deep, and the new Myriad Celestia Trailer is about to be released the day after tomorrow.

”The focus will probably be shifted by the IPC again.”

Xia Wen smiled and shook his head.

He decided to stop thinking about it.

After all, whether they figure it out or not, it’s all a wonderful (bright and sunny) experience for the audience.

Shutting down his computer, Xia Wen also went to rest.

The next morning, he still had to take his staff and Firefly to attend the award ceremony...
