Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1680: Chapter 824: In Love

Awkward, this is really embarrassing.

Zhou Yun, who is usually very unwilling to show off affection in front of others, has truly shown a deep affection this time in the eyes of everyone.

Her face turned red.

It’s been too long since she saw Song Chi, and in surprise, she forgot herself.

Zhou Yun introduced Song Chi to Tim and the others.

Tim Lang is familiar with Song Chi.

”We meet again.” Tim Lang patted Song Chi on the shoulder and said, ”We said before that we should work together, but in the end, I collaborated with your wife first.”

The two had served as judges at an international film festival before and were already acquainted. The talk of collaboration was just a polite remark at the time, as people in the same industry often say such things.

Zhou Yun wrapped up work and went back to the hotel with Song Chi.

Having not seen each other for a long time, both were very excited.

By the time they were done, the night had fully fallen.

Song Chi asked, ”Are you hungry?”

Zhou Yun: ”A little bit.”

”So, should we go out to eat or order takeout? Is there anywhere to order takeout from here?”

”We can only call a nearby restaurant and have them deliver,” Zhou Yun said. ”I don’t want to go out. How about we call the restaurant, or we could order directly from the hotel.”

Song Chi said, ”Is hotel food any good?”

”It’s okay. But I’m not used to the food here; I still have a Chinese palate,” Zhou Yun said.

Song Chi said, ”So what do you usually eat?”

”I have to maintain my figure anyway, so I eat these things. If I’m not used to it, I just eat less,” Zhou Yun said. ”Luckily, for filming ’Killing Song’ I must keep in shape, or it would be difficult.”

Song Chi smiled.

There are actually quite a few Chinese restaurants in Australia, but there aren’t any near their filming location.

Zhou Yun isn’t the kind of person who must eat only what she wants to survive.

The two of them ordered some food, freshened up, and waited for the food to arrive to have dinner together.

Halfway through dinner, Hugh Redman called.

”I heard your husband is here!” Hugh Redman said enthusiastically. ”Why don’t we all go out to the bar tonight?”

Zhou Yun, upon hearing this, couldn’t help but laugh and said, ”We can’t do tonight; how about tomorrow? Tomorrow I’ll treat everyone to dinner and introduce him to all of you.”

Hugh Redman: ”Alright, that sounds good. Tomorrow it is then.”

”Okay.” Zhou Yun nodded.

Hugh Redman hung up the phone.

Zhou Yun then told Song Chi about tomorrow night’s dinner plans.

Song Chi nodded and said, ”Alright, I’ll arrange it.”

”You came alone without an assistant; how are you going to arrange it?” Zhou Yun asked.

Song Chi looked at her helplessly and said, ”Do you think I can’t manage without an assistant? Don’t worry; leave it to me. It’s just arranging a dinner.”

Zhou Yun also laughed.

”What’s wrong with me? I actually thought of you as someone without basic living skills.”

”It’s definitely the environment giving you that impression,” Song Chi said.

Zhou Yun: ”Clearly, you were someone who could live quite self-sufficiently before, and now I subconsciously think you can’t manage on your own anymore.”

”Why?”

”I guess... I don’t know. Maybe we’ve both become too reliant on our agents and assistants.” Zhou Yun felt this way about herself too, too dependent on her agent and assistant, with many tasks being taken care of by them, leaving her with little to do.

Song Chi: ”But indeed, these past few years I rarely book restaurants myself; they book them, and I just go over.”

After dinner, the two walked downstairs together for a stroll nearby.

In a foreign country, a great advantage is that not many fans recognize them, so they can stroll hand in hand openly.

Plus, there weren’t many people around here, and the area was spacious, which was quite comfortable.

The bodyguards followed about three meters behind them.

This was mainly because of some incidents Zhou Yun encountered before; she doesn’t dare to be careless when abroad.

Song Chi held Zhou Yun’s hand as they walked along the wide road.

The streetlights cast a gentle glow.

”The last time we had a walk like this, I can’t even remember when it was,” Song Chi said. ”We kept saying we’d travel together, but it never happened.”

”There’s no helping it; we’re both so busy,” Zhou Yun laughed. ”But I really cherish our current situation. It’s already great. So many people struggle to balance their career and personal life. We’re lucky; we’re both doing things we love, and we often get to see and be with each other.”
