Chapter 1663: Chapter 820: Rival Scene (2nd Update)_2

Zhou Yun looked at her in surprise.

If not this, then what?

She didn’t understand why Lili Cruise was so shocked.

Her performance this afternoon hadn’t met Tim Lang’s requirements, so continuing the shoot tomorrow seemed perfectly normal, didn’t it?

Tim Lang nodded and said, ”Your body movements are still off.”

Lili Cruise was somewhat annoyed.

She asked, ”Tim, honestly, I can’t figure out what’s wrong with my performance.”

Tim Lang was taken aback.

Zhou Yun was also stunned.

She was originally planning to leave, but hearing Lili Cruise’s words made her stop.

Lili Cruise said very displeased, ”I don’t feel there’s anything wrong with my performance. I can’t make sense of what you’re saying, and even if we continue shooting tomorrow, I won’t be able to achieve the effect you desire.”

Zhou Yun: ”...”

Tim Lang’s expression also turned ugly.

He was already irritated by the lack of progress in the afternoon’s shoot, and had been holding his temper to avoid pressuring the actors. Who knew Lili Cruise wouldn’t reflect on herself and instead confidently claimed she couldn’t meet the requirements, igniting Tim Lang’s temper.

”If you can’t meet the demands, then don’t shoot!” Tim Lang shouted loudly, waving his hand as he stomped away angrily.

Lili Cruise snorted coldly and turned to leave.

Zhou Yun watched the scene unfold, unsure of what to say.

The argument between the director and Lili Cruise at the set was known among the actors by evening. Everyone was talking about it.

Hugh Redman suggested having a drink together, so they agreed to meet in his room.

Zhou Yun, Nakajima Hoto, Lew Xi, and Chris Pine all went there.

Hugh Redman first looked at Zhou Yun and said, ”Xiao Yun, you were there when they fought, can you tell us what really happened?”

Everyone looked at her.

Zhou Yun smiled and said, ”Don’t look at me like that.”

”Xiao Yun, quickly tell us,” Nakajima Hoto said, hugging Zhou Yun’s arm.

So, Zhou Yun recounted to everyone what had happened in the afternoon.

”So that’s how it was,” Hugh Redman sighed, ”Lili really showed a lack of respect for Tim.”

”Hasn’t she always been like this in the crew? She doesn’t regard anyone,” Lew Xi commented.

Chris Pine: ”But she used to respect the director, didn’t she? She was never so impolite to him before this.”

Lew Xi: ”She’s had arguments with me and Xiao Yun before, and now she couldn’t hold back from quarreling with the director. Be careful that she’ll give you guys trouble next.”

Hugh Redman sighed, feeling quite troubled.

”Actually, though Lili has a bad temper, she’s still a nice person,” he said, ”I don’t know why she has to create such a situation.”

Hearing Hugh Redman’s comment, Zhou Yun thought maybe Lili Cruise herself didn’t want things to turn out this way either.

After shooting all afternoon without satisfying the director, Lili Cruise herself was probably feeling bad inside.

But why did she confront the director?

Zhou Yun couldn’t understand.

In her past film crews, actors obeying the director was almost a tradition or a norm.

In fact, the director was originally the biggest in the crew; everyone acted according to the director’s ideas.

If it weren’t like this, the crew would be in chaos.

After all, it’s a team effort, without someone giving orders, everyone would believe they are the most correct.

”But Lili never wanted to interact with us from the start,” Nakajima Hoto suddenly said, ”At the beginning, didn’t we invite her every time we had a dinner? Yet she never came, and on set, she hardly ever communicated with us. Every time shooting finished, she would stand alone at the side.”

Hugh Redman said, ”That’s just the way she is, a bit aloof. I’ve known her for a long time, yet I’ve never been very close to her.”

Lew Xi said, ”Why does she behave this way?”

Chris Pine suggested, ”Could it be she has social anxiety? But she doesn’t seem like someone with social anxiety; she’s very aggressive when angry.”

”Perhaps she simply doesn’t want to interact with others,” Hugh Redman said, ”There are people like this in the world, who prefer to be alone.”

”Regardless of whether she’s malicious or not, hopefully, she can figure things out tonight and apologize to the director; the director seemed really enraged, even saying ’then let’s not shoot’ in anger.”

”How could someone like her possibly apologize to others?” Lew Xi promptly expressed disbelief that Lili Cruise would apologize.

Nakajima Hoto suggested, ”Should we try talking to Lili?”

”Uh—” Hugh Redman, who had been speaking positively about Lili Cruise, hesitated and said, ”If we try to talk to her, we might just get yelled at.”

Lew Xi immediately nodded, ”That’s very possible.”

Everyone looked at each other.

Finally, Chris Pine said, ”How about I go talk to her? I’m still able to communicate with her normally.”

”I’ll go with you then,” Nakajima Hoto volunteered.

”It’s okay, I’ll go by myself. If she does get angry, it’s better if I’m alone; I don’t take unpleasant words to heart anyway,” Chris Pine said with a smile.

Zhou Yun thought to herself, everyone here really is young.

Faced with such a situation, they’re even considering how to help resolve it.

Under normal circumstances, this issue wouldn’t have anything to do with them; why would they involve themselves?

After leaving Hugh Redman’s room, Nakajima Hoto asked worriedly, ”Is it okay to let Chris go alone to find Lili?”

Zhou Yun smiled and asked, ”Are you worried Lili will scold Chris?”

Nakajima Hoto showed an embarrassed smile on her cheeks, ”I’m not worried she’ll scold him; I just feel it’s not quite right.”

Zhou Yun asked what was wrong, but Nakajima Hoto said no more.

Seeing Nakajima Hoto’s demeanor, Zhou Yun suddenly recalled a previous intuition.

She stared at Nakajima Hoto in surprise and quietly asked, ”Xiao Sui, do you like Chris Pine?”

Nakajima Hoto, hearing Zhou Yun’s words, suddenly shot her head up like a kitten whose tail had been stepped on, looking at her in shock.

Seeing Nakajima Hoto’s reaction, Zhou Yun knew she had guessed correctly.

”You—” Nakajima Hoto stammered, not knowing what to say.

Zhou Yun: ”I guessed it, don’t be nervous.”

Nakajima Hoto pursed her lips, turning her head to look around as if worried someone had overheard Zhou Yun’s words.

Zhou Yun found it somewhat amusing.

”Why are you so tense?”

Nakajima Hoto waved her hand and said, ”I, I... there’s nothing like that, I don’t like him.”

It’s too late to deny it now.

Zhou Yun silently sighed in her heart.
