Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1672: Chapter 822: Another Year (10,000-Word Update!) (Part 4)

”Alright.” Chris Pine nodded.

”Okay, it’s settled then. I’ll buy the tickets and send you the time later.” Zhou Yun said.

”It’s just movie watching, why do you have such a strange smile?” Chris Pine asked curiously, ”Like there’s a scheme or something.”

”You’re the one with the scheme!” Zhou Yun instantly retracted her triumphant smile, ”I’m just purely happy.”

Chris Pine showed that same look of disbelief towards Zhou Yun’s ”innocence.”

After lunch, Zhou Yun went back to her room to rest, planning to take a short nap.

Suddenly, Chris Pine came to find her.

Zhou Yun looked at him in surprise and asked, ”Do you have something to tell me? Why didn’t you say anything at lunch?”

Chris Pine asked gravely: ”Xiao Yun, are you hiding something from me?”

”Huh?” Zhou Yun almost let it slip after being confronted about her secret, she tightened her jaw and hesitated for a moment before saying, ”No, why do you think that?”

Chris Pine said: ”You gave me that feeling.”

Zhou Yun: ”How could I possibly be hiding something from you?”

”Don’t lie to me.” Chris Pine said seriously.

Zhou Yun couldn’t keep it up, she said: ”Chris, believe me, I haven’t hidden anything bad from you.”

Chris Pine looked at her suspiciously, as if trying to analyze if what she said was true by reading her facial expression.

”Really, alright, I’m going to nap now, you should get some rest too, don’t you have another scene this afternoon?”

Only then did Chris Pine leave.

Zhou Yun let out a long breath.

She sent a message to Nakajima Hoto: You owe me a meal!

Nakajima Hoto: ?

Zhou Yun said: I was almost forced by Chris to tell him you like him! Luckily, I held on!

Nakajima Hoto: !

Zhou Yun: Take the opportunity during movie watching, it’s up to you guys to make the most of it.

Nakajima Hoto: Huh?

Zhou Yun: At that point, we won’t go, it’ll just be you and Chris there.

Nakajima Hoto: No way! Xiao Yun, that can’t happen! It’s too embarrassing!

Zhou Yun: You can’t be shy now, Xiao Sui, go all out!

...

In ”Killing Song,” the girl Zhou Yun plays is like almost every commercial film protagonist, kind-hearted, full of justice, unyielding, strong, and never gives up.

Nakajima Hoto felt Zhou Yun was a bit like this in real life too.

She lay on her stretching bed and sent Lew Xi a message saying: You’re right.

Lew Xi quickly replied: She always likes doing things she thinks are good for others, but it’s really annoying.

Nakajima Hoto furrowed her brows, hesitated for a moment, then replied: Yeah...

Is it?

Nakajima Hoto didn’t know.

Regarding liking Chris Pine, currently only Zhou Yun knew. But Nakajima Hoto didn’t expect Zhou Yun to be so proactive and enthusiastic in giving her advice after knowing this. Nakajima Hoto was actually troubled because she didn’t want Chris Pine to know she liked him; everyone was just filming a movie together and there’ll rarely be chances to meet afterward, so it’d be better to let this feeling fade away. But under Zhou Yun’s urging, her mind was also in turmoil, sometimes wanting to be brave for once, and at other times sensibly telling herself that bravery is actually worthless, they rarely see each other, it’s impossible to be together.

One day, Lew Xi complained to her secretly: Why does Zhou Yun always have to appear as if she’s taking care of everyone? Even though she’s the female lead, isn’t it unnecessary?

Nakajima Hoto was surprised to hear Lew Xi, she didn’t expect, besides Lily Cruise, someone else doesn’t like Zhou Yun in this group.

Though Lew Xi quickly added, ”Of course, she’s nice, but this caring attitude seems a bit condescending, it’s uncomfortable.”

Nakajima Hoto didn’t agree with Lew Xi, but subconsciously felt Lew Xi’s words were somewhat right.

Especially in the matter with Chris Pine.

Later, Lew Xi often complained to her about Zhou Yun.

For instance, ”Clearly, she’s the female lead, but she insists on acting like she’s equal with everyone, actually the stance makes everyone uncomfortable.”

For instance, ”Since she’s so great, why still act in Hollywood movies, why not tailor a movie for herself instead, isn’t it to also boost her global fame through Hollywood movies?”
