Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1665: Chapter 821: ’Black Forest’ Premieres (7,000 Words) _2

Zhou Yun curiously asked, ”Xiao Sui, why do you like Chris?”

She was somewhat curious about the answer to this question. Because... to be honest, although she also thought Hugh Redman and Chris Pine were handsome, her aesthetic preference was still more aligned with the looks of Asians. She had been accustomed to this aesthetic since childhood. And since their crew had been established for less than a month, it couldn’t be a matter of developing feelings over time.

Nakajima Hoto said, ”I... I don’t know, I’m just a bit drawn to him. He’s relatively quiet, doesn’t talk much, but he takes care of everyone. When we gather for meals together, he always quietly helps everyone get napkins and dinnerware, never saying much.”

”In Japan, you should have many excellent men like him pursuing you, right?”

Zhou Yun listened to Nakajima Hoto’s description and thought it shouldn’t be the case. How could Nakajima Hoto like Chris Pine for such a simple reason?

Who knows, Nakajima Hoto said, ”Actually, not many people pursue me in Japan. Everyone keeps a respectful distance from me.”

Zhou Yun thought for a moment and immediately understood.

Nakajima Hoto is an extremely popular female celebrity in Japan, and most men probably feel they can’t handle such a woman.

Men always want to find a woman who is slightly weaker than themselves. It’s an unspoken truth.

Zhou Yun: ”So now what? It’s already decided that Chris Pine will go communicate with Lily Cruise.”

Nakajima Hoto said, ”Maybe, Xiao Yun, you could go with me to talk to Chris, and we can go with him.”

Zhou Yun was amused.

”Xiao Sui, it’s not good for too many of us to go find Lily Cruise. Although it could prevent Chris from being alone with her, we still hope Lily will apologize to Tim. If we all go to find her, she might not only fail to realize her mistake but instead feel like we’re all pressuring her, or even think we are mocking her.”

”Ah, true.”

”I think the only way now is to persuade Hugh to replace Chris in doing this,” Zhou Yun said.

”Hugh? But Hugh doesn’t seem to want to go,” Nakajima Hoto was a bit hesitant, ”You saw it just now; he really doesn’t want to find Lily.”

”Yes, that’s why if you don’t want Chris to find Lily, you have to find a way to convince Hugh to change his mind,” Zhou Yun said.

Nakajima Hoto looked at Zhou Yun in surprise.

Zhou Yun nodded.

”Or, you can tell Chris, as you’re a girl, it’s better for you to talk to Lily, telling him not to go.”

Nakajima Hoto said without hesitation, ”Then I’ll go to find Chris.”

She hurried off.

Zhou Yun couldn’t help but laugh.

Returning to her room, she checked her email.

Ever since she started a studio with Zhou Lan, checking her email has become particularly frequent.

Many matters, Zhou Lan would formally seek her opinion through email.

Neither by phone nor via WeChat.

Zhou Lan said this ensures that everything is clear and transparent. Whether it’s Zhou Lan or other matters in the studio, many things are often submitted as a plan by various groups. After discussing and revising, it’s presented to Zhou Lan for key decisions. She would forward these replies to Zhou Yun to have a look. If Zhou Yun has an opinion, she would directly communicate with Zhou Lan. If not, she simply replies with ”no opinion” or ”agree” as needed.

Zhou Lan said, although Zhou Yun doesn’t oversee the studio’s specific work much, major projects and key terms must be reviewed by her.

This rule was set from the very beginning.

”It’s not that I don’t trust you, nor that you can’t leave everything to me, but after starting the studio, it’s not just about the two of us anymore. If people below know you’ve left everything entirely to me, they might eventually only see you as a mascot, as I’m the one who actually manages their work. Over time, people might start having other thoughts. This is always possible, and the most dreaded thing is when the person with the most power is effectively sidelined, which would mess up the entire ecology of the studio.” Zhou Lan said this to Zhou Yun.

Zhou Yun thus developed this habit.

Whenever she had the chance, she would check her email to see if there was anything she hadn’t yet reviewed.
