Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

As for Ye Jian, she smiled and encouraged the female soldiers. ”You have to believe that your potential is limitless. Once you get used to it, you won’t feel tired anymore. Just like now, you’re used to training every day. You’ll also get used to completing all kinds of missions. You might be even better than before.”

”It’s New Year’s Eve today. The training will end at 8:00 pm. You can choose to start rehearsing tonight. As for me, I’ll go to the male soldiers’ camp to scout the situation tonight. I’ll report to you later.” After saying that, she got the squad leader to dismiss the class.

On New Year’s Eve, Xia Jinyuan wasn’t in the camp. Three days ago, he left the camp with the male soldiers and went to another camp to communicate. He would rush back to the camp in the morning at the latest or he might come back tonight.

Ye Jian thought that he would come back in the morning. Who knew that he would rush back to the camp at 7:00 pm on New Year’s Eve? When he knew that the camp was holding a party, Battalion Commander Tian even smiled and asked if he wanted to go on stage to show off or perform with Instructor Ye from the female soldier class.

Xia Jinyuan thought for a moment and replied to Battalion Commander Tian seriously, ”Forget about the performance. Leave this opportunity to the soldiers. As for me, I just want to be a quiet handsome man below the stage.”

Ye Jian was beside him. He wanted to be a quiet and handsome man as he watched the show with his girlfriend and bid farewell to the year.

When Battalion Commander Tian mentioned Ye Jian, Xia Jinyuan remembered that he had known Ye Jian for eight years and had been in love with her for five and a half years. They had never really spent the Spring Festival together. The two of them had spent a lot of National Days together, but not were they together during the Spring Festival.

Hence, this was the first time the two of them were spending the Spring Festival together. He just wanted to accompany Ye Jian.

Battalion Commander Tian was amused by him. Xia Jinyuan was a quiet and handsome man. Hahaha, Captain Xia was really interesting. ”You’re a handsome man. A few days ago, Zhu Zhongguo even told me that you’ve been in our camp for so long, but your skin is still so fair. You’re not like him. Even his teeth are almost tanned from the sun. The same goes for Instructor Ye is the same. She’s not tanned at all.”

Xia Jinyuan raised his hand and looked at the back of his hand. That was true. He and Ye Jian weren’t tanned. Even if they were, their skin tone would be restored in half a month.

It couldn’t be helped. They were so compatible inside and outside!

After reporting to Battalion Commander Tian, Xia Jinyuan ignored his fatigue and went to look for Ye Jian. Halfway through, he suddenly remembered that Ye Jian was still training. Even if he went over now, they couldn’t meet.

He decided to return to his room and change out of his dirty clothes.

Stepping on the dry snow, Xia Jinyuan returned to his room and went to the boiler room to get two bottles of hot water. He took a shower and treated the blisters on the soles of his feet. Then, he wrote down the report on the four days of exchange. He would pass it to Battalion Commander Tian tomorrow.

Around 8:00 pm, Xia Jinyuan heard the sound of the room door opening from next door. Then, familiar footsteps were heard. His girlfriend, who was one wall away from him, was back.

Ye Jian didn’t immediately realize that her boyfriend was in his room. She unbuckled her belt and walked to the bed. She didn’t know until she looked out of the window and saw light shining on the snow next door.

Putting down her belt, Ye Jian walked out of the room quickly.

Xia Jinyuan smiled when he heard the footsteps. Just by listening to the footsteps, he knew that she had walked out of the room… and was walking toward him.

Ye Jian walked out of her room. Xia Jinyuan put down his pen and stood up. He walked toward the door too. Just as Ye Jian was about to knock on the door, Xia Jinyuan pulled open the closed door. Xia Jinyuan, who had short hair, appeared in front of Ye Jian with a smile. ”Instructor Ye, what a coincidence.”
