Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

On the female soldier’s side, a few female soldiers looked at each other silently. Why… did they still feel that something was wrong?

Gao Xiao and Qiu Tong only dared to muster their courage now. Their gazes darted back and forth between Ye Jian and Xia Jinyuan.

After looking around twice, Gao Xiao whispered to Qiu Tong and her comrades, ”I don’t see any problems. What about you?”

They couldn’t see any problems and shook their heads subtly.

Qiu Tong tightened her cold-proof jacket and whispered, ”Captain Xia is so familiar with our instructor’s matters. Do you think there’s really nothing going on?”

”So, you saw through it?” She asked with a smile.

After thinking for a moment, Qiu Tong replied, ”Just like you, I can’t tell. I don’t usually see Captain Xia having any close interactions with the instructor. Even when I do see them interact, they’re just nodding at each other and saying a few polite words. I don’t feel that they’re particularly close.”

”Let’s hear Captain Xia’s explanation.” Gao Xiao decided and stopped discussing with her comrades in private. She secretly rubbed her sore and painful calf while listening attentively, afraid that she would miss a word.

Yang Zhen and the deputy squad leader heaved a sigh of relief when they saw that the two of them were able to sit down calmly and talk.

”They’ve finally reconciled. I was afraid that they would’ve been reprimanded for nothing today and that in private, their relationship would still be the same, where they’re both ignoring each other.” The deputy squad leader patted her chest and whispered.

They were all wearing thicker cold-resistant covers distributed during the winter outdoor training. When they sat down, they could put them on. At night, when they slept, they would zip up from head to toe. The covers would them into sleeping bags that could resist the cold.

At night, the cold wind in the desert was like an ice knife. It was not so cold that it hurt, but the coldness was felt in the bones. Yang Zhen came from Guangdong Province, and her hometown was in Hainan. This kind of weather was a destruction of her soul. Even though she had been exposed to the cold for more than a month, she still couldn’t take it.

She covered the cover tightly around her and curled her legs tightly. Her voice was trembling. ”Our instructor won’t give them a chance to continue making a fuss. I feel that from the start, when the instructor knew that the two of them didn’t get along, she started thinking about letting them break the ice.

”However, the instructor didn’t expect Gao Xiao to use a knife. That’s why she was furious.”

After she finished speaking, Yang Zhen rubbed her hands and sighed. ”I think pure anger is the one our instructor has. It’s different from mere shouting. She’s so calm that you can’t see all the undercurrents. It’s like the undercurrents at the bottom of the sea. You can’t see them, but they’re extremely dangerous.

”Look at her during the day. She didn’t flare up at Gao Xiao at all, but when she reprimanded Gao Xiao, the killing intent on her body was unbearable. None of us even dared to speak.”

As the squad leader, she was the same.

The deputy squad leader nodded lightly. ”That’s right. If she had been shouting, I don’t think I would’ve been so afraid. At least I’d know that she’s angry and what she’d do. Our instructor doesn’t shout or scold, so we can’t guess what she wants to do.

”Although I’m two years older than the instructor, I didn’t know what to do at that time. I was stunned by her.”

The two second lieutenants were a few years older than Ye Jian. The oldest female soldier was three and a half years older than Ye Jian. However, their age and qualifications were placed at the back. They didn’t want to mention these things.

Yang Zhen said, ”Yes, I’m the same as you. Especially when she trained Gao Xiao for half an hour. I had to really endure it. Only then did I know that as it turned out, our instructor is so good at fighting. She’s not even 22 years old yet.”

The two of them became silent.
