Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Hence, it was happily decided that the male soldiers would run five kilometers every other day.

The soldier rubbed the back of his head that was hurting and said to the battalion commander with a bitter expression, ”Battalion Commander, half an hour ago, the company commander said that we would run three kilometers with light weights. Now, we have to run five kilometers with weights. He changed his mind too quickly.”

This caused Battalion Commander Tian to laugh loudly. ”Can’t you tell? Your company commander must have been stimulated by the hardworking female soldiers.”

”Young man, only through hardships can one surpass others. Why are there so many male soldiers who can’t defeat the female soldiers? Look at what they’re doing and look at the time. If the female soldiers lose to you guys after training like this, it wouldn’t be the company commander who gets angry but Instructor Ye.”

As expected, the back of the soldier’s head was slapped by Company Commander Zhu’s iron palm again. ’Young brat, you still have the cheek to say that!’

The soldier who had been slapped twice became obedient. If he dared to say anything else, he would be kicked by Company Commander Zhu.

Ye Jian didn’t know that her punishment for Gao Xiao had left a strong impact on Company Commander Zhu. Seeing the female soldiers not using enough strength and trying to get away with it, Ye Jian simply picked up some stones and threw them at the female soldiers with incredible precision. After a few rounds, the female soldiers dared not play any tricks anymore.

Gao Xiao was crying badly. She was almost hugging Ye Jian’s leg. ”It’s my fault. It’s my fault! Instructor, it’s my fault! Please ask them to stop. It’s all my fault. It has nothing to do with them! It’s all my fault! It’s all my fault!”

Before the order to stop was given, the female soldiers who were fighting with their daggers couldn’t stop. Gao Xiao could only watch and couldn’t do anything. Even if it was a request, she couldn’t fulfill it.

Qiu Tong was no exception. She knew that Gao Xiao was in the wrong and knew that she was in the wrong too. Now, the instructor wanted her and Gao Xiao to watch as their comrades were punished because of them. This was a hundred times worse than being punished themselves!

Qiu Tong couldn’t hold it in anymore. She ran over and stood beside Ye Jian. She shouted, ”Instructor, I was wrong! Gao Xiao and I have already realized our mistake. Please punish us!”

”Yes, Instructor, I was wrong. I was wrong. Please punish me, okay? Punish me alone, okay?”

Gao Xiao, who had no way out, wiped her tears and got up with difficulty. Ye Jian had kicked her legs many times, so she didn’t even have the strength to stand properly. When she staggered up, Qiu Tong was the one who held her quickly. With Qiu Tong’s help, Gao Xiao finally stood up.

”Instructor, please punish me severely! I will never do it again! I will never target Qiu Tong again! I promise I will never do it again!”

Gao Xiao, who had to lean on Qiu Tong’s body to stand up, promised again. Seeing that Ye Jian didn’t have any reaction and was still looking at her coldly, Gao Xiao turned around and faced Qiu Tong. Her eyes were red as she apologized sincerely, ”Qiu Tong, I’m sorry! Please forgive me for what I did. Please forgive me.”

After she finished speaking, Gao Xiao bowed deeply.

Qiu Tong hurriedly helped Gao Xiao up. Her eyes were filled with tears as she replied in a choked voice, ”No, no, no. You didn’t let me down. I was in the wrong first. I should’ve explained things to you first. I shouldn’t have chosen to escape after everything happened and let you handle all the problems alone.

”I’m sorry. I should be the one apologizing. I’m sorry, Gao Xiao. Please forgive me for hurting you in the past. I’m sorry, I’m sorry.”
