Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

”Quick, follow them!”

”Guard the back!”

The soft voices reminded the soldiers of the two classes. The squad leader, Yang Zhen, hunched her back and followed Ye Jian’s path.

She led the team in front and left the rest to the squad leader of the male soldiers to guard the rear.

Every time Ye Jian and Xia Jinyuan cooperated, they didn’t feel unfamiliar with each other.

The barren mountain range that was enveloped by the starlight was still silent. It rose and fell for an unknown number of years. A bone-chilling cold wind blew past, sweeping up a layer of sand on the ground.

The soldiers in the Su Province were not calm at this moment. Senior Colonel Nie Hongwei was sitting in the conference room and drinking strong tea. From time to time, he would stare at the three landline phones on the conference table. After putting down his teacup, he looked at the map on the big screen. He frowned and looked extremely serious.

”How is it? Is there still no reaction from the other side?” Senior Colonel Nie took another sip of strong tea and turned to ask a technical officer who was operating a computer, ”No reaction at all?”

The technical officer replied, ”No reaction for the time being.”

Senior Colonel Nie’s face turned dark again. There was no reaction at all! No reaction at all! Were the guys in the northwest all asleep?

The ’enemies’ had infiltrated the restricted areas of the military, but they hadn’t been discovered by a battalion or a regiment!

He was so angry!

Two days ago, the soldiers in the Su Province received a last-minute order from the Linbei Military District. The military sent a military unit into the desert in the hinterland of the northwest to test if the security in the important hinterland of the northwest was strict.

Senior Colonel Nie received the instructions and was quite confident in the regiment and battalion below him.

However, as there was no news from the hinterland of the northwest, the senior colonel’s firm confidence started to waver.

Why wasn’t there any news yet? They should have discovered it by now!

Senior Colonel Nie couldn’t sit still for even a minute. He had to rely on the strong and bitter tea to support himself. At the same time, he had to suppress the anger in his heart.

If… the people sent by the military weren’t discovered when they reached the base, all of them would bear the brunt of it!

At 3:24 am, ten minutes had passed since Ye Jian and Xia Jinyuan noticed the footsteps. The two of them, who were lying on a high ground, stared at the five figures in front of them. Ye Jian only looked at them for a few seconds before heaving a sigh of relief. She lowered her voice and said, ”Captain Xia, have you contacted the team recently?”

”Ever since I came, I haven’t called back to the team.” Xia Jinyuan lay on the cold ground with his palm on the ground. He looked at the five figures in front of him who had stopped moving. A hint of playfulness flashed past his eyes. ”It’s definitely not a good thing to sneak here. Since we’re all acquaintances, we shouldn’t appear. Let the soldiers behind us do it. It’s a good chance to practice.”

Ye Jian strongly supported Xia Jinyuan’s suggestion. However, she had a better suggestion.

She leaned over and said a few words in a low voice. Xia Jinyuan narrowed his black eyes and raised his hand. He placed his palm on Ye Jian’s forehead and laughed softly. ”You’re even worse than me. Alright, let’s see if they can solve it themselves.”

Ye Jian smiled until her eyes curved into crescents. How could she miss the opportunity to test the soldiers on their communication when it came right to her doorstep?

It depended on how the soldiers behind them handled it.

The black figures in the starlight were none other than the comrades from the Xueyu unit.

Four days ago, G3 of the Xueyu unit received an order from the military. He would lead the team into the northwest and break through the restricted areas of the northwest one by one.

As for the specific reason, G3 and the rest only understood why the military wanted to do this when they arrived.
