Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

The female soldiers looked at their injuries and then at their comrades’ injuries. Their hearts ached for each other.

”They’re all Captain Xia’s soldiers. I really hate them. This is the first time I’ve been beaten up like this by a male soldier. It’s like domestic violence. I wonder how many days it’ll take for the bruises to go away?”

”Even domestic abuse wouldn’t be this bad, right? One of them hugged my waist and threw me to the ground. Come, let’s see if my back is swollen. It was so painful when I was bathing just now that I couldn’t raise my hands.”

A female soldier lifted her clothes with her back facing her comrades. ”Am I bruised?”

The female soldiers took a deep breath when the soldier lifted her clothes. ”You need to apply some saffron oil. It’s all purple and covered in dried blood. They’re really ruthless. I want to beat them. I really want to return the favor tenfold.”

”I knew it. It must be purple! It hurts, and it’s so cold. I need to hug a hot water bag.” The female soldier, who had suffered a terrible fall, hurriedly put down her clothes and put on her cotton coat. She sat on the small stool and hugged herself tightly to warm herself.

The conditions in the northwest military unit were quite tough, especially the military unit built in the desert. It was a problem for them to have heating and even use water. The conditions were tough, but no one retreated.

The room without a heater was very cold. Sometimes, they would use the dried feces of wild camels to warm themselves. Or they would pick snow cubes and put them in the furnace to heat them up.

Winter was a difficult season for the soldiers, especially since the roads were blocked by heavy snow. Receiving supplies was a problem. All supplies needed to be used sparingly to prevent shortages.

There were nine northerners and 11 southerners among the female soldiers. What made Ye Jian want to laugh was that the female soldiers from the south were more resistant to the cold than the nine female soldiers from the north.

That was because there was no heating in the south in winter. The female soldiers from the north either had heated beds at home or central heating. In winter, even though it was snowing heavily outside the house, the house was as warm as spring.

Such a huge contrast actually made the southern female soldiers more resistant to the cold than the northern female soldiers.

The female soldiers who needed to exercise in the afternoon took turns to wipe the saffron oil. The strong smell of medicine filled the entire room. Even their chests were filled with the smell of saffron oil.

”Hiss… Be gentle. Be gentle. It hurts!”

”It’s all purple. I need to rub it harder. Bear with it.”

”Do we still have saffron oil? Do we have enough? If not, we have to go to the infirmary to get more. I wonder if the supply of saffron oil will be cut off this winter.”

”No, the five of them won’t stay in our camp for long. They’ll leave in two days at most. No, it won’t take two days. It’ll snow the day after tomorrow. They’ll leave tomorrow at the latest.”

”I hope they leave as soon as possible. I feel scared when I see them. It was 5 to 34, but we didn’t gain any advantage! We were beaten up badly by them, and the male soldiers weren’t much better than us.”

”They’re from the special forces. But they…” Yang Zhen, the squad leader, rubbed the saffron oil on Gao Xiao’s shoulder and said in a low voice, ”They’re a little different from the special forces soldiers I’ve seen.”

”They’re definitely different. No one else could beat us to this extent, right? Sigh, it hurts… Don’t tell me my bones are broken? Why does it hurt so much?” Gao Xiao was in so much pain that her face was distorted. She gasped several times. ”They’re too ruthless. I was thrown four times by them! If Qiu Tong hadn’t saved me in time, I would’ve fallen a fifth time.

”Qiu Tong, thank you. I’ll repay you next time.”

Qiu Tong, who was rubbing saffron oil on another comrade’s calf, didn’t even raise her head. She smiled and said, ”No, let’s hope there’s no next time. Once is enough. I don’t want to repeat this a second time.”

If this happened a second time, she doubted that she would be able to survive the five special forces soldiers.
