I Just Started College, How Could I Become a Part-Time Papa?!

Chapter 94: Chapter 73: Inverted Mountain

”Well...”

Uncle Zhang wasn’t quite sure how to describe Chen Yuan. After spending so much time with him, he just felt he was a very good kid.

”He’s here...”

”Who?”

”Chen Yuan?”

Zhao Lin followed the direction Uncle Zhang was pointing and saw Chen Yuan walking toward the hotel.

She had seen Chen Yuan the last time he came, but it was from a distance, so she hadn’t gotten a clear look. All she knew was that he was a tall guy.

Now, seeing him standing in the sunlight, she had to admit he was quite handsome.

In this regard, men and women are naturally different.

From a man’s perspective, no matter how plain his own daughter is, no man is ever good enough for her.

Women, on the other hand, are much better about it. They tend to view the matter more impartially. At the very least, she couldn’t find any fault with his appearance.

Meanwhile, Chen Yuan was completely unaware of all this.

RING RING RING—

His phone rang. It was a call from Song Jianye.

He glanced up, saw the hotel right in front of him, and hung up. There was no need to answer.

But...

’Who’s that with Uncle Zhang?’

’A new girlfriend?’

Chen Yuan smacked his lips. ’Doesn’t seem likely.’

That woman had too strong of an aura. A simple, honest man like Uncle Zhang probably couldn’t handle someone like her.

”Uncle Zhang.”

Their eyes met, and Chen Yuan quickened his pace.

Uncle Zhang smiled and nodded. ”This is President Zhao. She’s also our young miss’s maternal aunt.”

Chen Yuan: ???

Song Jianye had mentioned her aunt before. She’d said that her aunt was genuinely good to her, but also genuinely strict.

”Auntie...”

He had a feeling their plans to go out today were about to go down the drain. The atmosphere felt a little off, too.

It was the kind of feeling parents get when their kid brings home some punk...

But...

’Auntie, please, let me explain! I’m not just any punk!’

RING RING RING—

Zhao Lin was about to speak but was interrupted by a ringing phone. Chen Yuan looked down and saw it was a call from Song Jianye.

Chen Yuan suddenly realized that the first call probably wasn’t to ask where he was. It was more like a warning.

”Go on, answer it,” Zhao Lin said.

Chen Yuan answered the call.

”I’m at Overlord. Come find me here. Whatever you do, don’t go to the hotel.”

”Ah, about that...”

Chen Yuan glanced at Zhao Lin, unsure of how to respond.

’Auntie, I’m really not just some punk!’

Zhao Lin held out her hand. Chen Yuan, getting the hint, handed the phone over.

She didn’t take it, but simply turned on the speakerphone.

”My aunt is here! Don’t let her see you. Just come here, or I can come find you, and we can leave directly.”

”I’ve already seen him. You can stop hiding.”

”Auntie, I, I...”

”Come back. It’s not like this is some shameful secret. Why are you hiding from me?”

”Oh, okay...”

After the call ended, Zhao Lin turned and walked into the hotel. Uncle Zhang ushered Chen Yuan inside as well.

They didn’t go anywhere else, just sat down in the hotel lobby.

The mood and atmosphere weren’t what he had imagined. Zhao Lin didn’t try to talk to Chen Yuan at all.

In her view, they were already in college, so dating was normal. After all, she and her husband—Jianye’s uncle—had gotten together back in high school.

Besides, they had only just gotten together. They might break up after a while, so there was no need to intervene too early. Even if someone had to be the bad guy, that was a job for her uncle. She was going to remain the good guy.

But what really made her angry was that the cabbage she had worked so hard to raise had just up and run off on its own!

She was so mad her boobs ached.

”So, where were you two planning to go today?” Uncle Zhang asked with a smile.

”We were going to check out the zoo,” Chen Yuan answered truthfully.

”Do you need me to give you a ride?”

Ever since the two of them started hanging out, Song Jianye rarely needed a ride from Uncle Zhang anymore. They would take the bus or a taxi, no different from any other young couple.

He was especially impressed that Chen Yuan had spent a week with the young miss and only used a little over 200 yuan. It made him think that this Chen Yuan kid was a good one.

”No, that’s okay. We’ll just grab a cab.”

”Don’t be nervous. This has nothing to do with you.”

”Okay.”

This was Chen Yuan’s first time experiencing something like this. He had no experience, so he was slightly nervous and a little uncomfortable.

”President Zhao, President Zhang, the young miss is back...”
