The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 462: Chapter 462 Who Wants Revenge? Step Forward _1

”Morning!”

As Carson Flores walked out the door, he bumped into Leah Frost, disheveled with her hair lose, wearing pajamas. Leah was startled for a moment, didn’t respond, and quickly scampered back into her room.

Carson found this baffling. After all, she hadn’t been without clothes, so why the panic?

When Leah reappeared, she was still wearing pajamas, but her face was now made up and her hair was neatly styled, exuding a lazy yet mature beauty.

”Little Carson, good morning!”

Carson, holding a glass of milk, stared in disbelief, ”You ran back in panic just to do your makeup and get dressed?”

Leah wore a look that said you’re making a big deal out of nothing. ”Of course, I can’t ruin my perfect image. Many men gradually lose interest in their wives, becoming numb, and it’s often because they’ve seen their women at their ugliest moments—barefaced, snoring in their sleep, farting, picking at their feet. From goddess to slob, the image crumbles, and naturally, they stop caring. I don’t want you to despise me in the future...”

Carson laughed, ”You should be saying this to my uncle, you’re my aunt, how could I despise you?”

Leah insisted, ”No, your aunt, I must be beautiful, powerful, and queen-like at all times, not disheveled and unkempt. Erase that image you just saw from your mind!”

Carson replied helplessly, ”Auntie, you’re already beautiful, powerful, and queen-like in my heart, even without makeup, still so beautiful. You’re overthinking it.”

Leah playfully pinched Carson’s cheek, smiling, ”You really have a way with words. No wonder Samantha likes you so much. You have a bright future ahead, keep it up.”

”Let’s have breakfast.”

Carson placed a glass of milk in front of Leah, ”I’m planning to visit the Vasquez Family today.”

Leah nodded, ”To get the Dragon-Tiger Pill?”

Carson smiled, ”Yes, and to see their attitude.”

Leah readily agreed, ”Okay, I’ll accompany you. They don’t know my strength. Let’s see if anyone dares to cause trouble when you go there alone.”

”Great!”

Samantha Tate quietly listened to the conversation and then added, ”If the Vasquez Family has given in, does that mean there’s no danger anymore?”

Leah nodded, ”That should be the case. No one in the Vasquez Family is a match for Carson now. Even they have given up resisting. I suppose there won’t be any other acts of vengeance, and no one else will stand up for the Vasquez Family. It will be safe then, and we don’t have to keep hiding. Once things with the Vasquez Family are settled, we can go out, shop, get beauty treatments, and buy things.”

Samantha breathed a sigh of relief, smiling, ”Okay, Auntie!”

Leah smiled warmly, ”Don’t worry, as long as I’m here, no one can bully him.”

Samantha smiled and nodded, visibly more relaxed.

Carson knew Samantha wouldn’t say it, but she’d been worried for him lately. After all, Carson had been on a city-wide manhunt due to the Wang Family Inquiry Order, forcing him to hide at home. Now that the danger had passed, he felt significantly relieved.

...

The Vasquez Family mansion.

A large crowd of Vasquez Family members had gathered, whispering among themselves, their faces unable to hide their panic.

The Vasquez Family patriarch, Isaias Vasquez was dead.

The battle the previous night had been witnessed not only by members of the Vasquez Family but also by many other families and sects interested in this affair.

The powerfully strong Isaias Vasquez had been besieged by four Innate Grandmasters without a chance to flee, cleanly and efficiently eliminated.

Someone stepped forward and asked, ”What do we do now? That kid is ruthless and has four Innate Grandmasters at his side. Won’t he exterminate us all?”

Tom Vasquez shook his head, ”It shouldn’t come to that. Before the patriarch died, he exchanged Three Dragon and Tiger Pills for Carson’s promise to no longer pursue the Vasquez Family. Carson agreed, and many other families witnessed it. He should not go back on his word.”

Someone discontentedly exclaimed, ”The Dragon-Tiger Pills are so precious, they can hugely enhance our strength. We only have a few of those, right?”

Tom Vasquez’s expression was embarrassed, ”The Vasquez Family only has three.”

At Tom’s words, the room immediately erupted into an uproar.

”We have only three in total? And they’re all given to Carson? With blood-feuds deep as the ocean between him and our family, giving him the Three Dragon and Tiger Pills, isn’t that helping tyrants?”

”Right, why would the patriarch bring up those pills? If we kept them for the prodigies of our family to rapidly enhance their strength, couldn’t we have a new core for the Vasquez family sooner and also avenge our fallen family members earlier?”

”Yes, giving the Dragon-Tiger Pills to the enemy is surely making revenge even more hopeless, isn’t it?”

”Revenge?”

Tom Vasquez sneered, ”Who wants revenge? Stand out!”

People looked at each other, momentarily not understanding Tom’s implication.

Someone dissatisfiedly shouted, ”Carson has killed so many of our family, shouldn’t we seek revenge?”
