Doctor: I Can Synthesize Infinite Entries

Chapter 50: Chapter 50: Winning Big Time! An Invitation to Present at the Annual Medical Association Conference

Shen Guofeng certainly remembered the familiar young man on the screen.

”Wu Ting? It’s you!”

Shen Guofeng had a very deep impression of Wu Ting. The previous limb reattachment surgery on Officer Liu had left him in awe.

”I didn’t expect you’d also studied continuous blood purification therapy. The younger generation is truly formidable.”

Beside him, Director Tian had also finished reviewing Wu Ting’s plan and quickly said,

”Director Huo, I’ve carefully reviewed the plan you sent over. The overall procedure and the specific parameters are all fine. You can proceed directly with the treatment.”

With Director Tian’s confirmation, Huo Yun immediately began making arrangements.

”Wu Ting, Jiang Ming, you can start administering the continuous blood purification therapy to Reporter Yang according to the plan.”

With the go-ahead, everyone’s spirits lifted. Wu Ting began the procedure at once.

A double-lumen, single-needle catheter was selected for the patient’s venous cannulation, establishing an extracorporeal circuit...

Afterward, they adopted a continuous veno-venous hemofiltration mode...

Wu Ting adjusted the replacement fluid flow rate, controlled the blood flow, and started the machine...

Continuous blood filtration needed to be performed for 8 hours a day. The total length of the treatment course would be adjusted based on the patient’s condition. Generally, it would last for at least three consecutive days, but it could extend to seven days in severe cases.

As Wu Ting worked, he instructed the nurse in charge of monitoring on the relevant parameters:

”From now on, keep a close watch on the patient’s white blood cell count, the time it takes for their body temperature to normalize, ventilation time, creatinine levels, β2-microglobulin levels, and blood urea nitrogen levels...”

The nurse nodded repeatedly while taking notes, not daring to deviate in the slightest from Wu Ting’s instructions.

Over the video call, Shen Guofeng and Tian Bo were also carefully observing Wu Ting’s procedure.

”Director Tian, what do you think?”

Shen Guofeng glanced at Tian Bo, who remarked with a sigh of admiration,

”This young doctor is incredible. For someone so young, his proficiency with the continuous blood purification procedure is frighteningly good. What’s more, his management of the medical staff and his control over the treatment’s pace are both very seasoned.”

”He’s a real talent.”

The more Shen Guofeng watched Wu Ting, the more pleased he became.

Over the call, they watched as Wu Ting completed the most critical steps of the treatment. All that remained was subsequent monitoring. Tian Bo and Shen Guofeng finally relaxed completely.

”Director Huo, this continuous blood purification procedure is essentially complete. Dr. Wu’s execution was extremely professional and flawless.”

Hearing the two experts’ assessment, Huo Yun was also relieved.

”That’s good, that’s good. We really have Professor Shen and Director Tian to thank this time. Now that the patient’s condition has stabilized, we can all breathe a sigh of relief.”

Shen Guofeng shook his head. ”Not at all. The credit this time belongs entirely to Dr. Wu. We didn’t do much.”

With Yang Xinghao’s condition stabilized, Huo Yun chatted a bit longer, remarking with some emotion,

”Professor Shen, the emergency department at City First Hospital really owes you a huge debt of gratitude this time. If your team hadn’t developed the Haijin Gang Burn Fluid Replacement Formula, our emergency response for this large group of burn patients would have faced far more risks.”

”Huh?”

Shen Guofeng was clearly surprised, but also felt a little honored.

”You’re saying you used our team’s burn fluid replacement formula? We only proposed it a short while ago and are still just promoting it on a small scale.”

”Yes, Professor Shen. I have to say, your team is truly at the forefront of emergency medicine. In a specific situation like treating a large group of burn victims, the Haijin Gang Burn Fluid Replacement Formula is incredibly time-saving, as well as being accurate and simple. Professor Shen, you should really promote this formula widely in primary-level hospitals.”

Huo Yun’s admiration was sincere.

Shen Guofeng couldn’t agree more. He felt as though he’d found a kindred spirit and was filled with a newfound respect for City First Hospital’s emergency department.

”Director Huo, not to sing my own praises, but promoting the Haijin Gang Burn Fluid Replacement Formula in primary-level hospitals is exactly what I’ve been envisioning and advocating for.”

”I’m also truly grateful that City First Hospital used our newly released formula. In fact, I was planning to formally present it at this year’s Jin Province Emergency Medicine Academic Conference and then begin promoting it in primary-level hospitals. I didn’t expect you, Director Huo, to have such a discerning eye and to be ahead of the curve in our province.”

”It’s an honor for our team to be able to contribute to the success of City First Hospital’s rescue operation. To be frank, I should also be thanking City First Hospital. Your use of our burn fluid replacement formula adds significant weight and credibility for its launch and promotion at the conference.”

”Director Huo, for you to find the time to study our province’s latest medical achievements while being so busy... it truly impresses me and puts me to shame.”

Shen Guofeng hadn’t imagined that his team’s burn fluid replacement formula would have already been proactively studied and applied by City First Hospital in such a critical rescue. ’This team’s capacity for learning is incredible!’

Faced with Shen Guofeng’s praise, Huo Yun felt both ashamed and proud.

”Professor Shen, I’m ashamed to admit it, but I wasn’t the one who discovered and learned about the burn fluid replacement formula. During this operation, Director Wei and I were at a loss as to how to quickly create fluid replacement plans for so many patients. Then, unexpectedly, Dr. Wu Ting arrived and brought up your team’s research.”

Shen Guofeng was surprised yet again, his gaze shifting to Wu Ting.

Tian Bo also looked at Wu Ting with curiosity. The young doctor’s dedication to his studies was truly admirable.

After this call, they would be sure to hold Wu Ting up as a role model, publicizing his example within their departments so their own subordinate doctors could learn from him.

The doctors from City First Hospital who were present were also shaken to the core. ’No wonder Dr. Wu can step forward time and again. Just how much research has he done on his own?’ They felt both ashamed and full of admiration.

Zhu Zhu, who was taking notes on the side, felt her eyes light up. ’Looks like there’s more to this Dr. Wu Ting,’ she thought. ’He’s worth digging into.’

Shen Guofeng’s interest was piqued. ”Dr. Wu, on behalf of our medical association, I would like to formally invite you to this year’s Jin Province Emergency Medicine Academic Conference. I’d like to invite you to be one of the presenting doctors, to jointly report on and promote our Haijin Gang Burn Fluid Replacement Formula alongside my team. What do you say?”

Hearing Shen Guofeng extend this olive branch, the other doctors from City First Hospital were green with envy.

This was an invitation from one of the top figures in Jin Province, and a chance to present jointly with the province’s best team from Jinggang University Affiliated First Hospital. It was an extraordinary experience and a massive honor.

Furthermore, those invited to the Jin Province Medical Association’s academic conference were all director-level, elite doctors from the major city hospitals. For Wu Ting’s future career development, this was a huge advantage.

Attending as a presenter was a chance to leave an impression on all the top experts in the province—this was an opportunity of a lifetime.

Even Director Huo hadn’t expected Shen Guofeng to think so highly of Wu Ting.

”Wu Ting, hurry up and thank Professor Shen! This is the kind of opportunity countless doctors can only dream of.”

Wu Ting, of course, was thrilled. ’To attend a conference like this,’ he thought, ’there will be so many opportunities to interact with all the major figures. I might even be able to acquire all sorts of top-tier entries!’

”Professor Shen, it would be my honor to attend. Thank you so much.”

”Mm. Wu Ting, we’ve already exchanged contact information. Feel free to reach out to me privately if you need anything.”

Shen Guofeng once again made his high regard for him clear.

After that, he chatted a bit more with Huo Yun and Wei Guoqiang before ending the remote consultation.

With the completion of Yang Xinghao’s continuous blood purification therapy, the entire rescue operation slowly began to wind down.

Huo Yun and Wei Guoqiang returned to the command center. What came next were the follow-up arrangements, a summary of the entire rescue operation, and, of course, rewarding those who had distinguished themselves!
