Doctor: I Can Synthesize Infinite Entries

Chapter 45: Chapter 45: The Invisible Establishment of Wu Ting’s Prestige and Influence

After Jiang Ming finished one escharotomy, he started a second.

But before he was even halfway through, Dr. Liu rushed back.

Seeing Dr. Liu, who had just left and now returned, Jiang Ming was puzzled.

”Dr. Liu, why are you back? Didn’t I tell you to go assist Dr. Wu with the escharotomies?”

Dr. Liu replied helplessly:

”Director Jiang, you might not believe this. When I got there, Dr. Wu Ting was already performing an escharotomy. In just that short time, I watched him skillfully complete one. The entire procedure was faster than I could have done it.”

Dr. Liu looked at Director Jiang, a little embarrassed.

”Dr. Wu told me to come back to my own ward. He said he was enough to handle things over there. You’ve already performed several surgeries in a row. Let me take over so you can rest for a bit. Besides, once the emergency work here is done, you still need to make your rounds to the other teams.”

Dr. Liu was worried that Jiang Ming was overexerting himself. After all, this rescue effort had only just begun.

This was just the initial rescue phase, focused on getting patients out of critical danger. There was still a massive amount of damage repair to be done, followed by functional training and psychological rehabilitation. There was so much more to do.

Listening to Physician Liu, Jiang Ming had to admit he was indeed a bit tired.

’Guess I really can’t compare to a young man full of vigor.’

”Alright. I’ll finish this one, and you can do the next escharotomy.”

Jiang Ming was marveling internally. ’This Wu Ting is really something. Thanks to him, I can finally catch my breath and spare some energy to check on the other areas.’

...

...

After completing two more escharotomies, Wu Ting had finished his task.

He had come out this time with the main goal of promoting the Haijin Gang Burn Fluid Replacement Formula, which had been a complete success. He had also helped the critical ward with their rescue work. Now, it was time to return to his own general ward and begin the extensive work of damage repair.

When Wu Ting rushed back to his ward, Qin Donglai, Wu Youtu, and the others welcomed his return, though they were surprised he had been gone for so long.

”Brother Ting, you were gone for quite a while. I’ve already done several damage repairs.”

Cheng Feng had already assisted Luo Ming in completing several debridements and skin sutures. He showed off his ”battle achievements” with a hint of pride.

Wu Ting replied calmly:

”I was just in Director Jiang’s ward. A few patients were in critical condition, so I assisted with a few tracheotomies and escharotomies. As soon as I finished, I rushed back. Thanks for holding down the fort.”

Hearing Wu Ting’s answer, Cheng Feng was clearly taken aback.

He had wanted to show off the solid fundamental skills he’d developed, but in an instant, he felt like he was nothing.

”Brother Ting, you...”

Cheng Feng felt completely outclassed.

Luo Ming didn’t say anything, but his ears were perked up. After hearing, he also felt a bitter taste in his mouth. He was a resident physician with years of experience, yet he seemed so weak in front of Wu Ting.

’No wonder they say a crisis reveals a person’s true ability. Without a doubt, after this mass burn rescue is over, Wu Ting is going to skyrocket through the ranks.’

”Wu Ting, you take over the tendon and vessel repair for the patient in Bed 3. Cheng Feng, you’ll assist Wu Ting with skin sutures.”

Seeing Wu Ting, Qin Donglai felt a wave of relief. The Wu Ting of today could hold his own, with the capabilities of a proper attending physician.

”You got it!”

Wu Ting immediately threw himself into the damage repair work.

For him, tendon and vessel repair were second nature.

Wu Ting’s repair plans for different types of tendon injuries were particularly surprising. Yet, upon closer consideration, they were indeed the best possible solutions one could think of.

”He’s so amazing.”

In the ward, the other residents were merely assisting with debridement. Only those with better fundamental skills, like Cheng Feng, even got the chance to suture. How could they compare to Wu Ting, who was already leading surgeries with an assistant?

”Wu Ting is incredible. He’s not like a resident from our year at all; he’s practically a senior attending physician.”

”Yeah, I heard he also proposed the Haijin Gang Burn Fluid Replacement Formula. Just now, even the associate chief physicians from the burn department were following him around the emergency department wards, teaching the formula.”

”I’m so jealous. I heard that just a moment ago, Wu Ting was in Director Jiang’s ward, assisting with several tracheotomies and even escharotomy decompressions.”

”I’m impressed. It looks like after this rescue operation, Wu Ting’s spot to stay at the hospital is set in stone.”

”Yeah, I’m completely convinced.”

This batch of residents had been thoroughly humbled by the overwhelming level of skill Wu Ting displayed.

Just as some of the junior doctors were sighing in admiration, Deputy Director Huang Hong from the National Medical Department arrived.

”Dr. Wu, our department was ordered to support your tracheotomies by preparing the ’Heat-Clearing, Phlegm-Resolving, and Bowel-Purging Formula.’ However, for the prescription you proposed, our pharmacy is out of stock on a few of the herbs. So, I’ve substituted them with two others. The overall efficacy of the formula should be largely the same. I came over to discuss it with you and hear your thoughts.”

Director Huang greatly admired and respected Wu Ting. If it were any ordinary junior doctor, he wouldn’t have bothered to come personally, but Wu Ting was different.

Moreover, Wu Ting’s integrated National and modern medicine therapy had shone brilliantly during the treatment of this mass burn incident, which was also an achievement for their National Medical Department.

As the National Medical Department of City First Hospital, they were fundamentally an auxiliary department. To put it bluntly, they existed to enhance the hospital’s overall comprehensive capabilities.

The success of this integrated therapy had positive and long-term significance for the National Medical Department.

Therefore, by coming personally this time, Director Huang was giving Wu Ting a great deal of face.

Of course, Wu Ting had no objection to Director Huang’s modified prescription.

”Of course, that’s no problem, Director Huang. I have no objections to your formula.”

Director Huang chatted with Wu Ting for a few more moments before hurrying back to prepare more of the medicinal formula.

Seeing Wu Ting consulting with Director Huang like that, the other doctors in the ward were once again filled with admiration.

”Director Huang is the heir to a National Medical Family, so he has incredibly high standards. I can’t believe he would come to ask for Dr. Wu’s opinion on the composition of a medicinal formula.”

Qin Donglai was also filled with emotion. Even he had never been held in such high regard by Director Huang.

’It seems that during this rescue effort, Wu Ting has really, without even trying, established his own prestige and influence.’

In the ward, the damage repair work continued.

Time ticked by, second by second. Most of the physicians were entering a state of fatigue. Qin Donglai, Luo Ming, and the others were also feeling exhausted.

Only Wu Ting maintained his steady rhythm.

Unconsciously, while others rested and rotated out, Wu Ting continued his repair work without a moment’s pause.

The longer it went on, the wider the gap grew between the number of procedures Wu Ting completed and that of the other doctors, putting him in a league of his own.

Quantity was leading to a qualitative change!

As a result, the ward Qin Donglai was in charge of had admitted and transferred more patients than any other ward, and their consumption of medical supplies was also much higher.

Wu Ting possessed Officer Liu the criminal investigator’s indomitable will and stamina (Yellow), a mental and physical attribute that could be paired with any technical skill attribute.

Therefore, the current Wu Ting was a one-man assembly line for damage repair!

Head Nurse Xiao Xixi was coordinating with the various wards when she suddenly noticed an anomaly in the data.

”Huh? What’s going on? Why has Qin Donglai’s ward used up so many suture kits?”

’Could it be that the junior doctors in his ward are inexperienced and wasting a lot of them?’

Xiao Xixi frowned. After all, at a time like this, every single suture kit was a scarce resource. She decided to go over and investigate personally.
