Doctor: I Can Synthesize Infinite Entries

Chapter 49: Chapter 49: The Optimal Solution, the Jinggang University Experts’ Shock

Qin Donglai beckoned, calling Wu Ting to his side. He took a pack of military-grade compressed biscuits from his pocket.

”Wu Ting, eat this on the way. You need to replenish your energy.”

”If you get too tired, take a break. Don’t push yourself too hard. Director Huo has already contacted the experts at Jinggang University Affiliated First Hospital for remote assistance.”

Qin Donglai was genuinely worried about Wu Ting, afraid he would exhaust himself.

”Dr. Qin, I’m fine. Young people are resilient.”

Wu Ting took the compressed biscuits. Beside him, the young woman Huang Ye handed him a bag of glucose solution.

”Thanks!”

Wu Ting gave Huang Ye a slight smile. Although he now possessed top-tier willpower and endurance, the physiological realities of hunger and thirst were unavoidable.

Without ceremony, Wu Ting began to wolf down the biscuits and drink the glucose.

Zhu Zhu, standing to the side, captured the entire scene on camera, especially the close-up of Wu Ting scarfing down the compressed biscuits and drinking the glucose to quickly restore his energy.

To be honest, even Zhu Zhu, who was used to seeing handsome men, felt her heart skip a beat. ’This doctor is so charming!’

Zhu Zhu had already decided to edit this close-up shot into the final report.

Following Wu Ting, Zhu Zhu also rushed to the critical care ward.

A resident led Wu Ting, entering the ward first:

”Director Huo, Director Jiang, Dr. Wu is here to assist with the hemodialysis.”

”Wu Ting?”

Seeing Wu Ting hurrying in behind the resident, Huo Yun and the others were a bit surprised.

Jiang Ming asked directly:

”Wu Ting, have you studied hemodialysis?”

Wu Ting nodded calmly:

”Director Jiang, to be more precise, we should add continuous blood purification therapy to the conventional treatment. We can establish an extracorporeal circuit via intravenous cannulation with a dual-lumen, single-needle catheter and adopt a continuous veno-venous hemofiltration, or CVVH, model...”

”This will allow us to maximize the performance of the Baxter Bm25 (Southern Country) blood purification device. The filter will be an AN69 membrane with a surface area of 1.60 m²...”

”Because the patient is showing signs of hemorrhage, we’ll use heparin-free dialysis...”

In order to achieve the best therapeutic effect and seize the optimal treatment window, Wu Ting got straight to the point and laid out the ideal plan.

At the same time, he looked at the nurse monitoring the patient and calmly instructed:

”Show me all the patient’s current monitoring data. And get me a pen and paper.”

The nurse, sensing Wu Ting’s commanding presence, complied immediately.

Wu Ting took the materials, calculating as he reviewed them, and quickly came to a conclusion:

”Director Jiang, based on my calculations and the patient’s condition, we’ll use bicarbonate as the replacement fluid. The replacement fluid flow rate should be 3 to 4 L/h, with a blood flow rate of 160 to 201 ml/min, for continuous hemofiltration...”

Listening to Wu Ting’s confident and articulate explanation, the other physicians were in disbelief.

Even Huo Yun and Wei Guoqiang were startled and skeptical. They both turned to Jiang Ming, the only person present who had undergone advanced training on the Baxter Bm25 (Southern Country) blood purification device.

Jiang Ming took the data and the calculation plan from Wu Ting’s hands. He examined it closely, growing more astonished the more he read.

”Director Huo, Director Wei, Wu Ting’s hemodialysis plan is indeed correct. I’m just not entirely certain about the final replacement fluid and blood flow rates.”

Jiang Ming gave a wry smile. ”To be honest, I was originally planning to use a conventional hemodialysis protocol. I didn’t expect Dr. Wu to take it a step further.”

”Continuous blood purification therapy is truly the most cutting-edge development in the field. Right now, it’s only being used by a few individual physicians in top departments in cities like Xianglin City, Qinghe City, and Xiao City. I’ve seen it done, but I’m a bit rusty.”

Hearing Jiang Ming’s explanation, both Wei Guoqiang and Huo Yun were shaken.

’It seems this Wu Ting has really put in the hard work. Just how many domestic and international cutting-edge journals and techniques has he studied?’

’If it weren’t for this rescue operation, a talent like him might have truly been overlooked.’

Jiang Ming was also impressed by Wu Ting’s extensive knowledge and sharp memory. More importantly, he was able to apply what he’d learned to the patient’s specific situation and formulate the optimal plan.

”Continuous blood purification therapy is perfectly suited for treating severe burns, for anti-inflammatory therapy, volume control, and managing complications. In Reporter Yang’s case, his sepsis and acute renal failure are the result of wound and lung infections. These infections caused a massive amount of bacteria and bacterial matter to enter his bloodstream, which ultimately led to sepsis.”

”And continuous blood purification therapy can effectively remove bacteria and toxins from the blood. Reporter Yang’s wounds will be difficult to close completely in a short amount of time, so the source of the infection will persist, and his body will continuously release inflammatory mediators. Compared to traditional hemodialysis, continuous blood purification can remove most of these inflammatory mediators, thereby mitigating the inflammatory cascade.”

”Similarly, due to the advanced equipment and principles of the protocol, continuous blood purification can also manage the removal of excess fluid. This facilitates effective nutritional therapy, ensuring Reporter Yang receives the necessary energy and nutrients to correct his body’s negative nitrogen balance.”

After listening to Jiang Ming thoroughly explain the rationale and principles behind the entire plan, Huo Yun and the others were pleasantly surprised.

”Good, good, that’s excellent. This way, we can also fully utilize the capabilities of the new instrument.”

”As for the choice of replacement fluid, volume control, and blood flow rate, that’s not a problem. I’ve already contacted Professor Shen Guofeng. The experts on his end should be coming online soon. We can have them double-check everything for us.”

Zhu Zhu promptly filmed the scene unfolding in the hospital room.

She was thrilled as she watched. ’This Dr. Wu looks so young, but he’s incredible! He proposed the country’s most advanced dialysis technique right in front of two major directors. Isn’t this exactly the kind of application of advanced medical equipment that Dean Tang mentioned from his high-level perspective? And he’s also incorporating a remote consultation with provincial experts from Jinggang University Affiliated First Hospital.’

’What a tense and dramatic scene.’

Zhu Zhu began to formulate her story. She planned to focus on Dr. Wu Ting as the representative figure to showcase this rescue effort—the critical nature of the situation and the predicament of City First Hospital’s older generation of doctors.

The new generation of doctors, using the most advanced equipment and cutting-edge technology to turn the tide!

Just then, the remote consultation system established a connection.

”Director Huo, Professor Shen’s team is ready. Professor Shen and Director Tian Bo, from their hemodialysis department, are online. We can begin the remote consultation now.”

A junior doctor at the side reminded him.

”Good, that’s great.”

Director Huo immediately began speaking with Professor Shen:

”Professor Shen, Director Tian, thank you so much for joining us to assist with our hospital’s emergency response. The situation is urgent, so I’ll skip the pleasantries. We have a preliminary hemodialysis plan, but we’re not entirely certain about some of the key parameters. We’d like you two experts to review it for us.”

On the other end, Professor Shen and Director Tian listened attentively.

After Director Huo briefly explained the patient’s condition, he sent over the treatment plan and specific parameters that Wu Ting had proposed.

The more Shen Guofeng read, the more surprised he looked. He quickly had Director Tian start verifying the calculations.

”Director Huo, I’m surprised to see your department has already started using continuous blood purification therapy. Even at our hospital, we’re only implementing it on a small scale, still in the phase of accumulating experience.”

”If you can indeed use continuous blood purification therapy, it would be the ideal treatment for the patient’s condition.”

Shen Guofeng was both surprised and impressed.

Shen Guofeng’s reaction made Huo Yun feel a surge of pride. ’This Wu Ting is really making me look good.’

”It’s a bit embarrassing to admit, but this is our department’s only Baxter Bm25 blood purification device. As for the doctor who proposed the treatment plan, you know him too.”

”I know him?”

Shen Guofeng grew curious. ’Which senior director from City First Hospital could it be?’

Huo Yun moved the camera until it was focused on the young Wu Ting, then held it steady.
