Return of the Antagonistic Lady Boss

Chapter 1167: Chapter 1139: Chen Zilong on the Brink of Expulsion

The night was very late, and Da Long got up quietly, Hu Zi followed suit. The two clapped hands, silently exchanging a spirit of not abandoning nor giving up with their eyes, Da Long jumped out through the window. They lived on the second floor, where there was just the right big tree to climb.

The skills he honed from sneaking out to go online at night at home were all put to use here.

Hu Zi did the scouting for Da Long, everything was silent around with no anomalies in sight, he gestured to Da Long to proceed, and Da Long began to run along the shadow of the tree roots.

The dorm was right behind the Yu Family office building, Da Long sprinted towards the office building, smoothly passing several security guards.

In another corner, Yu Minglang watched the scene clearly with his company’s security department manager via surveillance. A few department managers in charge of training were present too.

”Tsk tsk, this batch of kids sure are something, quite the rascals.” A department manager exclaimed, feeling the young generation was getting more and more competent.

”This kid is pretty sharp, could avoid our night patrols, seems like it isn’t his first time doing this, quite neat.” Another department manager couldn’t stop marveling.

Yu Minglang snorted coldly, ”Keep pretending, you continue. Don’t say you have never noticed, if you still don’t tell the truth, none of you will be okay.”

”Uh, Vice President, you know everything already.” The two department managers exchanged a glance, not knowing how to respond next.

”If my grounds could be traversed as if an uninhabited land, the Yu Family’s security department could be collectively dismissed! If it wasn’t for knowing he’s my little brother-in-law, and knowing Hu Zi’s identity, why would you turn a blind eye?”

Yu Minglang sharply pointed out, the crowd fell silent for a few seconds, someone spoke up.

”Vice President, we didn’t intentionally turn a blind eye. These people haven’t done anything against the company’s interests. Also, the training courses were indeed too difficult this time, the exam questions were made intentionally harder at your behest, them stealing the exam questions is also...”

”Is this the same thing? There are so many people participating in the training, the difficulty of the exam was raised, why do some people prefer to lose points rather than cheat, while these people would resort to slyness? No contract spirit at all, how would they create performance for the company or serve better in the future?”

Yu Minglang struck the heart of the matter.

This time, he increased the training difficulty not just to teach Da Long a lesson, but also to see how each participant deals with pressure this way.

In other words, what Da Long and the others are experiencing now is part of the assessment. It can reflect each person’s ability to handle pressure, endurance, compliance, etc. Yu Minglang likes employees who are enduring and compliant but also likes those with ability, personality, and room for training. Yet he dislikes those without discipline, who take shortcuts and act sly.

That rascal Chen Zilong has stolen exam questions several times and yet they haven’t been punished.

”Vice President, they have someone in their dorm experiencing life, we think it’s enough as it is.” The speaker doesn’t want to offend Hu Zi’s father since Hu Zi isn’t here seeking a job, he’s just an actor experiencing life.

”You all, go back and write me a reflection!” Yu Minglang got angry. ”I don’t care if he’s experiencing life or whatever, as long as he’s on my grounds, he must meet my standard! Do I need to remind you what to do next? Catch him red-handed, deal with it harshly, straighten these little rogues out, otherwise, they might really think they have become almighty!”

Chen Zilong had the exam questions in his pocket, thinking about meeting his brother-in-law during the day, it felt like bidding farewell to the days of stealing exam questions was imminent.

Over this wall and it’s back to the dormitory, he has climbed this wall three times now, each time went smoothly, but this time climbing down was different.

Just as he jumped from there, without reacting to what happened, he felt a darkness over his head, a sack fell from the sky, he got caught!

”Let me go!”

Chen Zilong wanted to struggle, but the guy who caught him deftly tied him up. Hit him solidly with a kick too, that almost knocked Da Long out.

Someone was dragging him along, and Chen Zilong didn’t know who caught him, he kept yelling all the way until annoyed they kicked him again.

”Shut up!”

”Mr. Qiao! It’s me, I’m Da Long, one of yours!” Chen Zilong got excited hearing a familiar voice, hurriedly sought help.

”It’s you I caught, shut up!” Qiao Zhen kicked him again.

Da Long didn’t understand what was happening, being dragged and kicked, felt like he was about to faint, he shouted with all his might.

”I want to see the Vice President! Let me go, I want to see the Vice President!”

Brother-in-law, they bullied me while you weren’t here!

”Shut up! Call out once more, I’ll whack you!”

Da Long was infuriated; he decided to complain when he sees his brother-in-law, this Mr. Qiao was bullying him!

Qiao Zhen was Yu Minglang’s assistant before, now he has emerged as a manager.

At the place, the sack over his head was removed, Da Long lay on the ground in disarray, then realized Qiao Zhen had dragged him to the conference room. All around the lights were on, the monitoring room was crowded, not only did the trainees come, but several training lecturers also arrived, the large conference room was packed with people.

Da Long saw Hu Zi and the others, his heart sank, it’s over, things got serious!

In a hurry, not knowing what to do, he just thought of getting his brother-in-law to help, just thinking so, he saw Yu Minglang approaching, Da Long’s eyes lit up brother-in-law save me!

Yu Minglang seemed not to receive his plea for help, asked Qiao Zhen with a stern face.

”Is this the trainee who disregarded the rules and climbed out?”

”Yes!”

Yu Minglang came over and coldly asked Da Long, ”Where is your accomplice? Tell me, and I won’t expel you.”

”Expulsion?!” Da Long was dumbfounded.

He just stole some exam questions, no need for expulsion, right? And brother-in-law, don’t you recognize me, I’m Xiao Long Long~~~

Da Long piteously looked at Yu Minglang, yet found his usually kind and friendly brother-in-law today had a face like frost, exuding coldness, no hint of home in sight!

Could the light be too glaring to the eyes, did brother-in-law not recognize him? He clearly spoke well during the day, why was it like this at night? Thinking so, Da Long even specifically wiped his face, thinking dust made his brother-in-law unable to recognize.

”Chen Zilong! Reveal your accomplice, who covered you to go out violating the rules, say it out and I’ll expel your accomplice, keep silent and I’ll expel you!”

”What accomplice...I don’t know what you’re saying!” Da Long didn’t know why his brother-in-law suddenly became like this, stammering in defense.

Yu Minglang lifted him by the collar, shook him a few times, the exam questions hidden on Da Long dropped, the room went silent.

”Caught red-handed! What more do you have to say! Speak! Who’s the accomplice!”
