With the chairman’s approval, other procedures are handled relatively quickly.

The staff processing the procedures also told Gu Xi that he needs to go to the City Lord’s Mansion with the procedures.

After all, he is recommended out by Bailian City, and Bailian City needs to register Gu Xi’s information.

After that, Gu Xi can choose to go to Ancestor City with the people from Bailian City or take the recommendation letter himself.

If he goes with the people from Bailian City, Gu Xi will be in Bailian City’s ranks, making his relationship with Bailian City closer.

If Gu Xi goes by himself, he will be counted among the wanderers, and his relationship with Bailian City will be more distant.

Regarding Gu Xi’s choice, Bailian City generally doesn’t care.

After all, for Bailian City, one more Gu Xi doesn’t make a difference, nor does one less Gu Xi.

Moreover, those willing to go alone usually have some ability or a bit of background.

If Bailian City holds people back, it would be offending them instead.

The City Lord and the senior members of Bailian City are seasoned and discerning, they wouldn’t mess up at this juncture.

Although Gu Xi doesn’t quite understand these things, he believes with his limited strength, there’s really no place anyone would covet.

So Gu Xi obtained the proof and left the Chaoyang Radiance Guild, heading toward the City Lord’s Mansion.

As he left the Chaoyang Radiance Guild again, Gu Xi noticed that the flood on the street had already been diverted.

Buildings that were washed away by the flood are also being rebuilt.

There are also many players on the street busily working.

From their situation, it can be seen their secondary skill levels exceed their primary skill levels.

However, Gu Xi also noticed that while many players were working, their eyes frequently turned towards the previous explosion site, seemingly waiting for something there.

As Gu Xi passed by, he was also attracted by the players’ focus.

He stepped up and asked,

”What happened here?”

The player held by Gu Xi was also a gossip.

Upon seeing Gu Xi’s situation, he said, ”You must have just come out of your guild. You didn’t see the fight outside earlier. Our city was invaded by a squad of alien players.”

Those alien players totaled five, one escaped, and the remaining four were all killed.

But that’s not the important thing.

They were wearing Orange Armor.

Scary, right? Each alien player had a piece of Orange Armor.

Except for the one killed by the City Lord, whose Orange Armor went to the City Lord, the other three pieces of Orange Armor are in dangerous places.

Just now, the City Lord ordered the cowardly players to go to the dangerous places to find Orange Armor.

Do you know what the City Lord promised?”

”What did he promise?”

Listening to the varying versions of events, Gu Xi was somewhat curious.

”The City Lord promised that whoever finds the Orange Armor will be supported by the city and have noble family established for them.”

While speaking, the player glanced in the direction of the previous explosion, almost drooling.

Gu Xi understood that these Orange Armors were unlike Gu Xi’s own Orange Armor, which no one knew about.

Right now, with three pieces of Orange Armor falling into dangerous places, everyone is focused on this matter.

The City Lord’s Mansion can’t just let players die without rewards, and this idea could retain players who obtain Orange Armor.

As long as roots are established, players can gradually integrate into Bailian City’s noble families, making the Orange Armor part of Bailian City’s assets.

At this moment, the player cautiously said to Gu Xi,

”You probably didn’t know that just now a player actually brought out an Orange Armor, and the City Lord immediately fulfilled his promise. That Orange Armor was registered for its attributes and directly given to that player under the City Lord’s protection.

Afterward, many wanted to rush over, but if I weren’t too far away, I’d want to try, too.

After all, there are still two pieces of Orange Armor; even getting one means the legacy of a thousand-year dynasty.”

Listening to this, Gu Xi somewhat agreed with this player’s statement.

Even though he now has two pieces of Orange Armor, controls one Orange Armor Deputy, and will soon have a new Orange Armor, he still feels tempted by Orange Armor.

Not to mention ordinary players who might not even have a good Purple Armor.

Grabbing Orange Armor is akin to overnight success.

Seeing the player’s eager expression, Gu Xi shook his head.

These players have been eyeing these pieces of Orange Armor for a long time. Don’t say he finds out now, even if he knew earlier, Gu Xi might not be able to snatch them.

Better forget about this.

After all, Orange Armor won’t just fall from the sky in front of him.

After chatting a little more with this player, Gu Xi didn’t linger here.

Gu Xi has other things to do; he only stopped because the atmosphere on the street confused him, leading him to inquire.

Once he knew what happened, Gu Xi had no intention to stay longer.

He looked at the road and headed towards the City Lord’s Mansion.

Because most people were off trying to grab the Orange Armor, there weren’t many at the City Lord’s Mansion.

At least when Gu Xi arrived, the staff was sparsely present.

Fortunately, Gu Xi was there for Bailian City’s important matter, and as soon as he asked, someone immediately came over to handle it.

After recording Gu Xi’s level, the staff at the City Lord’s Mansion didn’t immediately process his paperwork.

Instead, they explained two different situations to Gu Xi.

Even though he needs to go to Ancestor City anyway, if Gu Xi chooses to go with the players from Bailian City, he’ll receive some supplies and support from Bailian City.

Moreover, they can stay in Bailian City for another half year, then depart with a batch of players.

All travel expenses, etc., are covered by Bailian City, and the train is direct.

If Gu Xi wants to go by himself, he has to transfer at Pei Xin, Changzi, or Demon Chaos City, and all expenses must be borne by himself.

Bailian City won’t address any issues he encounters along the way.

And that’s not all that matters.

The most crucial part is if Gu Xi chooses to join Bailian City’s side and departs together, during this half-year period, Bailian City can offer Gu Xi short-term training.

This includes the promotion path after Level 10 for the Undead Mage and some insights into Creation.

If Gu Xi goes alone, these benefits definitely won’t be available.

Don’t think these are merely words.

There aren’t many cities purely dedicated to the Undead Mage path.

If you learn nothing and go to Ancestor City seeking routes for an Undead Mage after Level 10, it won’t be easy.

Listening to the staff, Gu Xi instead laughed.

”No worries, I’ll go alone!”
