Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 1052: Chapter 1050: Changes Brought by the Eye of Vitality

Gu Xi was encountering a battle between Death Cities for the first time, and he didn’t have a guide to lead him.

Gu Xi also didn’t know how long this space could exist.

If the Death City hadn’t been taken away earlier, he might’ve been able to claim it.

But now the Death City was gone, leaving only this black and gray foundation, and Gu Xi didn’t know how long this place could last.

After all, there is always a time limit for battlefield cleanup.

This place can’t possibly be maintained forever.

At least after Gu Xi leaves, this place might not remain.

What if Gu Xi’s departure is deemed an abandonment of everything here?

Anyway, dealing with the black gray like mining won’t work.

Gu Xi has to think of another way.

Just at this time, the Skeleton Shooter who had run down to split the Eye of Vitality came running back.

”Master.”

”Have you discovered something else?”

Gu Xi glanced at the Skeleton Shooter.

”No,” the Skeleton Shooter said somewhat speechlessly, ”but there’s a bit of a situation.”

Following the direction the Skeleton Shooter pointed, Gu Xi then noticed something.

Behind him stood a peculiar Undead.

The Undead seemed to be composed of two combined Undeads, with eyes covered in tentacles growing on their weapons.

”What’s happening here?”

”Earlier, we redistributed the Eye of Vitality.

But most people were unwilling to use the Eye of Vitality again.

They believe the enhanced effect of the Purple Armor from the Eye of Vitality was poor, with too many negative effects.

Ultimately, all the Eyes of Vitality ended up concentrated on these two brothers.

They intended to use the Eye of Vitality to stack up enhancements and see if anything could be strengthened.

They ended up placing all the Eyes of Vitality together, resulting in this situation now.”

”Did they place the Eye of Vitality on themselves?”

Looking at the two Undead nearly fused together, Gu Xi couldn’t help but ask.

”No, their goal was to use the Eye of Vitality to enhance their weapons, but when they placed the Eye of Vitality, the two weapons collided.

When they went to retrieve their weapons, an accident happened, and it turned into this.”

At this point, Gu Xi noticed that although the two were fused together, their consciousness remained intact, not driven mad by the fusion.

Of course, the fact that Undead typically don’t care about appearances also played a part in this.

Looking at the two fused Undead, Gu Xi thought for a moment, ”I have an idea, I’ll perform Undead Transformation on you again, merging you into one Undead.

If you’re willing, you can go out and fight; if you die, I can revive you through the Eternal Enslavement Altar.

Of course, there are pros and cons.

If you undergo Undead Transformation again, the enhancements from the Eye of Vitality should remain.

But separating you afterward will be quite difficult.

If you die and are revived through the Eternal Enslavement Altar, you’ll return to your original state, but the Eye of Vitality might not be usable anymore.

I’ve laid it all out; it’s up to you to choose.”

Gu Xi’s words fully explained the situation.

The decision was left to the judgment of the two.

So, the two exchanged looks, stepped aside for discussion, and ultimately couldn’t bear to lose the Eye of Vitality they acquired, deciding to have Gu Xi perform the Undead Transformation once again.

Since the two Undead weren’t technically dead.

The process of Undead Transformation would be much simpler.

Gu Xi mainly needed to adjust their bodies and sort out their condition.

As long as their bodies can control everything here, they generally don’t need to die once to return.

This method of transformation is much simpler than before.

Gu Xi didn’t intend to resolve it at Evil Wood Lake.

He asked Brave Fight to find some Skeleton Mages to help arrange a Magic Array, and let the two Undead sit inside.

Meanwhile, he kept a close watch on the two Undead.

One undead was a Zombie, wielding a Two-Handed Sword among the two weapons.

The other was a Skeleton Soldier, holding a White Bone Long Spear.

When the two fused, their bodies were chaotic.

Part of the Skeleton Soldier’s body was merged into the Zombie’s abdomen, while another part grasped the Zombie’s Longsword.

Nonetheless, the Skull managed to align with the Zombie’s head.

This prevented it from being completely absorbed into the Zombie’s body.

However, the Zombie’s situation wasn’t ideal either—each hand held a weapon, not because they didn’t want to let go, but because both the Two-Handed Sword and Long Spear had merged with his arms, making them inseparable.

Moreover, the Skeleton Soldier’s lower half hung from his back, resulting in relatively slow mobility despite standing firmly.

Now that Gu Xi needed to address the situation, they naturally stepped into the Magic Array.

Once they entered, Gu Xi easily separated the two bodies temporarily.

But since the two bodies had started fusing, separating them completely without killing them wasn’t feasible.

Additionally, Gu Xi couldn’t apply all the power from the bodies solely to the Zombie.

Given that the Skeleton Soldier also possessed clear consciousness, it wasn’t possible to use them interchangeably.

Thus, when merging them, Gu Xi had to consider accordingly.

Finally, Gu Xi disassembled the two bodies entirely, incorporating White Bone into the Zombie’s body, distributing Zombie’s flesh over the Skeleton Soldier, transforming them into a dual-headed, four-armed fusion of half Zombie and half Skeleton Soldier.

The dual heads differed from the usual side-by-side arrangement, here positioned one in front and one behind.

The front head was the Zombie’s, the rear head belonged to the Skeleton Soldier.

Likewise, the four arms were distributed, with the front pair belonging to the Skeleton Soldier, while the rear pair carried the Zombie’s weapons.

Gu Xi couldn’t remove the weapons from the arms.

Removing them would mean taking off all the Eyes of Vitality from the weapons.

The Eyes of Vitality were the fortune of these Undead; once removed, they would have nothing left.

In that case, direct death and revival would be preferable.

Therefore, Gu Xi didn’t take away the Eyes of Vitality; instead, he repositioned them, moving some into the Zombie’s flesh and the Skeleton Soldier’s White Bone.

By doing so, he aimed to neutralize the influence of the Eyes of Vitality.

After completing all these measures, Gu Xi then utilized the Undead Transformation Skill, reactivating the Undead before him.
