When Gu Xi returned to Yalidu City, he saw a lot of Bone Dragons lying around the Main City Gate.

The Black ash swept in by them had piled up into a small hill at the Main City Gate.

Luna was commanding the Undead, moving this Black ash to districts that hadn’t been put to use yet.

Seeing Gu Xi coming over, Luna floated to him as well.

”My lord, do we need to send people to collect the Black ash outside?”

Gu Xi glanced back and immediately understood what outside Black ash Luna was talking about.

That was the Black ash that had fallen out of the sandstorm when the Bone Dragons flew over here.

Because the Black ash was very fine, and later the Undead transporting supplies trampled all over it, the Black ash had mixed into the dirt, turning into a Black dirt road.

Collecting that Black ash wouldn’t actually be that hard: just send some Undead out to dig up the soil along the route, then bring it back and process it.

Only Gu Xi still shook his head.

Leaving aside that most of the Black ash had already been force-marched over.

Losing this small portion didn’t really matter.

And right now there wasn’t time; a full thirty-li of road was no small project.

And once dug up it would still have to be hauled back.

If it could really be done that fast, Gu Xi wouldn’t have needed to go all out, using Gale Skill to have the Bone Dragons bring the Black ash here.

”No need. Just directly announce victory in the battle between Death Cities; we’re leaving this place.”

Gu Xi also didn’t want to drag things out now.

He simply made his choice.

As soon as Gu Xi finished speaking, he suddenly felt space give a jolt.

Then even the sky above turned somewhat different.

”Luna, have we returned to the Mirror Image Underground Palace?”

Gu Xi raised his head to look at the situation in the sky, asking with some uncertainty.

”Yes. We’ve already cut off the link with the other Death City, we’re back.”

As the master of Yalidu City, Luna naturally felt Yalidu City’s movement immediately.

But she hadn’t been happy for long before noticing something off.

The Black ash road outside the Main City Gate had actually followed along in part.

”My lord, look here.”

Gu Xi had been about to exit Yalidu City, but being called by Luna, he focused his attention on the Black ash road outside the Main City Gate.

Gu Xi discovered that the Black ash road was currently stretching off into the distance.

This situation took him a bit by surprise.

He thought for a moment, then walked onto the Black ash road, reached down, and lightly pinched the ground between his fingers.

The Black ash was still that Bone Shattering Ash, but at this point it had completely fused with the road.

The Black ash road before his eyes now had its own name.

[Path of Tribulation (Special): Special Building, constructed outside the city, innately possesses Space Attribute, can establish space conduits connecting Death Cities that belong to the same faction or to the same Player.]

[Note: A total of three Death Cities can be connected (1/3). The distance between each pair of Death Cities is thirty li.]

Seeing this road’s Attributes, Gu Xi’s eyes lit up.

With a thought he understood what this Path of Tribulation was about.

If he had taken that Death City.

When the battle ended, even without a Path of Tribulation, other kinds of road would still appear.

After all, Death Cities are located in different spaces; even if you seize two or more Death Cities at once, it’s impossible to move all the Death Cities into a single space.

That’s why roads like the Path of Tribulation exist.

Although this time his target city had been uprooted and moved away by someone else.

This battle was still judged as Gu Xi’s victory.

Whether or not the Death City ended up in Gu Xi’s hands, the road connecting Death Cities would appear.

It’s just that right now this road only connected a single Death City, Yalidu City.

There was no longer any external connection to anything else.

This point reassured Gu Xi quite a bit; he’d worried the currently connected Death City might be that empty foundation.

Flicking the Black ash from his hand, Gu Xi turned to look at Luna.

”This is a road leading to other Death Cities. Looks like we’re going to have plenty more battles between Death Cities from now on.”

”No matter how many Death Cities, I can manage them all.”

Luna said with full confidence.

And she was speaking the truth.

Yalidu City had directly been split across seven different times and spaces.

Even with things that chaotic, Luna could still handle it.

A new Death City thirty li away?

Of course she could manage that.

Just then, Eldest Princess Anna also walked out.

”My lord, if possible, it would be best if the new Death City we obtain is a combat-use Death City.”

”Oh? Do you have something in mind?”

Gu Xi looked at Eldest Princess Anna, somewhat surprised inside.

Normally, Eldest Princess Anna was either reorganizing the troops, focused on the Soldiers’ training and their equipment.

Or she was in Yalidovitar, controlling all patrol and Defense work across Yalidu City.

Sometimes even when Gu Xi came to Yalidu City, she might not have time to come over.

Her coming this time did catch Gu Xi off guard.

”My lord, after this battle, we’ll be facing multiple battles between Death Cities going forward.

The road before us can connect three Death Cities.

But in practice we only have room for two. Yalidu City is our main city, it definitely can’t be moved around randomly.

For the other two Death Cities, I think we should keep one as a fallback.

And build one specifically to handle enemy city-attacks.”

Hearing Eldest Princess Anna say this, Gu Xi froze for a moment.

He could understand what she meant by a Death City built to handle enemy city-attacks.

After all, everyone had seen it in this battle.

Attacking a Death City was actually quite simple.

As long as you seized the opportunity, you could go straight into the opponent’s Death City.

Back when they only had Yalidu City, Gu Xi had to keep all forces stationed inside the city.

But once they had two extra Death Cities, things would be different.

In Death City versus Death City battles, he could push out another heavily-defended city to go fight.

Even if something went wrong, Yalidu City wouldn’t be affected.

As for this ”keeping a fallback” idea, Gu Xi didn’t believe it was Eldest Princess Anna’s own thought.

That kind of line didn’t fit her style.

But Gu Xi didn’t ask any further.

He only smiled and said to Eldest Princess Anna: ”Eldest Princess Anna, it’s not like I can just build whatever kind of Death City I want right now.

We currently only have Yalidu City, and we don’t even know if we’ll run into any others.

Let’s focus on managing our own Yalidu City properly first.”
