Ice Age Apocalypse: I Hoard Billions of Supplies

Suddenly, Loren received a communication from a colleague. Upon learning that another group of people entering the Snowy Region was approaching, his sharp eyes instantly turned as cold as the curved blade at his waist.

”Again? These people really aren’t afraid of death at all.”

”I got it. Leave these guys to me to handle.”

Loren took one last hard drag on the cigarette butt before throwing it on the ground and stamping it out.

Loren pulled open the car door. ”Let’s go, the sheep have arrived!”

This patrol squad consisted of seventeen people in total.

Each one was a superhuman, and moreover, they were monk soldiers who had undergone the baptism of Sangha Monastery and possessed extraordinary strength.

They represented discipline, primarily belonged to Sangha Monastery, and possessed more formidable combat power than the private soldiers of the four great families.

However, nowadays, the position of Khenpo at Sangha Monastery had been seized by Yasha Langtai Deji, and the Lord of the Charnel Ground also came from the Yasha Langtai family.

Therefore, there wasn’t much difference between them and the private soldiers of the Yasha Langtai family.

In about a week, the most sacred and solemn Prayer Festival of the Snowy Plateau Region would be held.

At that time, the entire Snowy Plateau Region would undergo a major reshuffle.

Although the Yasha Langtai family controlled the Lord of the Charnel Ground and possessed the strongest military force, they still needed to guard against other family forces and the resistance army from taking any actions.

Precisely because of this, the patrol squads had been conducting tight patrols at the entrance to the Snowy Plateau Region.

Their purpose was to eliminate those mercenaries attempting to enter the Snowy Plateau Region.

The motorcade led by Loren sped swiftly into the distance. They guarded the only passage into the Snowy Region. This area wasn’t large, so seventeen people and five vehicles could firmly defend it.

Before long, a black snow vehicle slowly drove towards them from the distance.

Loren brazenly parked his car at the intersection, then lazily pulled open the door and stepped out.

He was wrapped in a sheepskin coat, looking like a herdsman, with a curved knife of distinct ethnic style tucked at his waist.

He appeared nonchalant, but his hand was already resting on the hilt.

That vehicle slowly approached and stopped only a dozen meters away from them.

Two men got out of the vehicle.

Two fully armed men.

”This isn’t a place you should come. Go back.”

Loren looked at them, baring his yellow teeth as he spoke casually.

The two men exchanged a glance, but playful smiles appeared on their faces.

Among the two, the younger man raised the corner of his mouth with amusement.

”But there’s no place I want to go that anyone can block my way.”

Loren laughed. ”Young man, you’re not old. You still have a long road ahead. Leave, don’t throw your life away here.”

The young man slowly wiped the smile from his face.

”Move aside!”

Loren lowered his head, but the smile on his face froze in an instant.

”Thwip!”

The sound of blood splattering rang out. The blade was fast. The sound of blood spurting in the wind was actually somewhat pleasing, scattering freely. Hot blood dripped from the combat suit onto the snowy ground, quickly forming a small pool of crimson, which then froze at an even faster rate.

Loren’s blade had already slid back into its scabbard with a ”shing” sound.

By now, the young man among the two had been cleaved in half from the middle, his steaming corpse falling to the ground.

His blade was too fast. The man died without even seeing how he drew it.

The companion beside him was stunned for a full second before snapping back to reality, his right hand suddenly swinging forward.

”Shing!”

Another brilliant flash of blade light sliced through the air.

The mercenary’s ability hadn’t had time to manifest before his arm, along with his head, flew off.

A mocking look played on Loren’s face. ”I told you to leave, but you wouldn’t. You had to die here. What were you hoping for?”

A team member behind him chuckled and said, ”Boss, their vehicle is pretty nice.”

Loren gave a faint smile. ”Take it. Clear the road. Lately, there are still people with no regard for their lives coming to deliver good stuff to us!”

He smiled with an air of nonchalance and turned to leave.

But just at that moment, the sound of a vehicle sounded again from the distance.

The sound of something cutting through the air was so clear. As an old herdsman, he could hear it from far away.

Loren looked back and said with surprise, ”More?”

Soon, the vehicle drove up close and slowly came to a stop.

Seeing the corpses on the ground, Zhang Yi knew what had happened.

Liang Yue gripped the hilt of her saber and asked Zhang Yi, ”Do we fight?”

Zhang Yi sighed. ”I’m someone who hates causing trouble the most.”

”Then?”

Zhang Yi silently took out Holy Judgment and reached out to push open the car door.

”But if you can’t avoid something, you still have to face it bravely.”

”You all stay in the vehicle, wait for me a moment. I’ve been sitting in the car for a while, I want to stretch a bit.”

The others looked at Zhang Yi getting out of the car with expressions as if they’d seen a ghost, their eyes wide.

In the past, no matter the situation, this big shot would never casually get close to enemies.

According to his personality, firing a shot from eight hundred miles away and blowing the opponent’s head off was the tactic that gave him the most peace of mind.

Zhang Yi got out of the car. His face was covered by tactical goggles. Holding the blade in his left hand, he walked forward.

Loren furrowed his brows, sizing him up from head to toe.

Zhang Yi reached out and took out a communicator, from which he ejected the electronic credential given by the Pagyi Family.

He said, ”We are guests invited by the Pagyi Family. Please let us pass.”

When they saw that credential, Loren and the team members behind him all revealed extremely ridiculous smiles on their faces, as if they had seen some huge joke.

At the same time, the look in their eyes as they regarded Zhang Yi grew even colder.

Several team members laughed while looking at Zhang Yi as if he were already dead.

People invited by the Pagyi Family were their priority targets.

Loren smacked his lips, helplessly sighed, and spoke to Zhang Yi with a tone of earnest advice.

”Young man, I’ve already killed someone today. I want to do a good deed. You go back! Your road is still long. It’s not worth losing it here.”

Zhang Yi raised his head. The tactical goggles concealed his beaming smile.

”Even with the Pagyi Family’s credential, you won’t let me pass?”

The smile at the corner of Loren’s mouth suddenly grew even thicker.

He didn’t know why the other person would say that.

Was it deliberate provocation, or genuine stupidity?

But that was no longer important.

He had given the other party a chance.

Drawing the blade from its scabbard, a brilliant flash of blade light swept towards the other’s body. The speed of that draw could only be described as beautiful.

Too fast. So fast it was hard to see clearly. When killing, it was as beautiful as art, leaving no rough wounds.

”Thwip!”

A large amount of blood poured down. The steam from the young man’s hot blood rose, bringing a sense of warmth to people’s hearts in this cold season.

Loren was still smiling, but soon, he could no longer laugh.

The people of the patrol squad could no longer laugh.

That outsider dressed in strange black combat attire wasn’t bleeding.

Instead, a long gash had been sliced open across Loren’s chest.

Oh no, not the chest.

Because this slash went straight through, front to back, cutting him in two like a paper doll.
