Ice Age Apocalypse: I Hoard Billions of Supplies

Lu Keran certainly understood what Zhang Yi cared about.

She smiled gently, ”You can rest assured about that!”

She winked at Zhang Yi, ”I’ve meticulously polished this mech suit for over half a year. Its entire body is made from Yi Metal and materials similar to Yi Metal.”

”In terms of defensive capabilities, it can withstand a direct hit from a Tomahawk Missile without being destroyed. Additionally, the internal structure has been redesigned based on the performance of the military’s black combat suits. Even if it endures explosive impacts, it can dissipate most of the shock force.”

”According to my estimates, its overall defensive power is roughly equivalent to a reinforcement-type superhuman with a superhuman ability index around 9500 points.”

Zhang Yi’s eyes immediately lit up.

”That’s excellent!”

This greatly enhanced his survivability once again.

Lu Keran continued, ”And I’ve also considered its flexibility. Brother, look at this.”

She picked up her computer and entered a string of commands.

In the next moment, Zhang Yi saw the [Hidden Dragon] armor before him suddenly ripple like a carp, with countless scales rising all over its body, opening and closing very smoothly, like waves rippling across water.

Upon closer inspection, it turned out the armor’s surface wasn’t forged as a single piece.

Instead, it was a complete set of armor composed of many scale-like plates.

”Is this chainmail?”

Zhang Yi immediately recognized the inspiration behind this design.

Lu Keran shook her head, ”Not entirely. Some areas use integrated connections, but most regions, especially the joints, are crafted using fish-scale style armor.”

”This way, it ensures that when you wear the armor, Brother, it’ll be like putting on a set of clothes, without any discomfort in movement.”

”Additionally, since the energy issue has been resolved, there are hidden jet stabilizers at the back that can achieve ultra-high-speed flight for short periods.”

Lu Keran scratched her head, looking slightly embarrassed as she said, ”Considering your abilities, Brother, I significantly reduced the mech’s weight. Many weapon systems were removed, and even the flight mode can only be maintained for half an hour at most. Brother, you should be able to accept this, right?”

Zhang Yi kept nodding with satisfaction at this point. This was exactly the kind of armor he wanted.

One could even say this armor held the most value specifically for him—it was completely custom-made.

Even if it fell into someone else’s hands, it would probably just be a turtle shell with single combat attributes, primarily focused on defense.

However, Zhang Yi specialized in long-range attacks.

The mech he needed only required high defensive power, high mobility, and relatively high flexibility—that was enough.

Zhang Yi took a deep breath, his joyful gaze shimmering.

He said to Lu Keran, ”How could I possibly have any objections? I’m simply satisfied beyond measure! Ke Ran, I love this exoskeleton armor you made so much.”

The weapon systems were lightweight because Zhang Yi’s Dimensional Space wasn’t lacking in weapons; there was no need to pile them onto the armor and add unnecessary weight.

The high-speed flight duration was short because Zhang Yi himself possessed flight capabilities—this function was just for emergencies.

And if he truly needed prolonged flight, Zhang Yi only needed to replenish the fuel, which wasn’t a problem at all.

By now, Zhang Yi was growing somewhat impatient.

”Has this mech undergone manual testing?”

Lu Keran nodded, ”I’ve already tested it over a thousand times. There are no safety hazards.”

Lu Keran understood Zhang Yi—he didn’t like being a guinea pig.

Zhang Yi nodded. It wasn’t that he distrusted Lu Keran’s skills; it was just his habit.

Lu Keran transferred control of the mech to Zhang Yi.

Zhang Yi removed his outer clothes, wearing only the black combat suit undershirt, then walked up to the mech.

The scale-like armor immediately opened a gap, allowing Zhang Yi to put it on like a jumpsuit.

After donning the armor, Zhang Yi felt something marvelous—it was like wearing a slightly heavy tracksuit, without any sense of oppression or heaviness.

The human exoskeleton armor was originally crafted based on Zhang Yi’s body structure. As long as it didn’t lose power, it would save Zhang Yi a tremendous amount of physical strength.

Wearing it, one only needed to use minimal force to move very heavy objects.

Zhang Yi glanced around through the tactical visor and quickly adapted to everything.

”I’m going outside to test this armor’s capabilities.”

Zhang Yi rubbed his hands together excitedly, stepping forward briskly, moving as if riding the wind with swift footsteps.

He and Lu Keran left the underground laboratory. When they reached the outside, the family members weren’t surprised by this sight—they had long known about this armor’s development.

It was just the first time they’d seen Zhang Yi wearing it.

Yang Siya put down the dinner knife in her hand, smiling joyfully, ”It looks like Zhang Yi’s armor is finished! This must be quite an impressive piece of equipment.”

Zhou Haimei laughed beside her, ”Indeed. Everyone knows that in Ke Ran’s heart, her Brother Zhang Yi is the most important.”

The two exchanged smiles but quickly took off their aprons, put on thick clothes, and followed them out.

Zhang Yi left the Shelter and immediately began testing the armor’s basic functions.

The [Hidden Dragon] armor possessed numerous capabilities—so complex that one would need to memorize the manual for days and nights.

However, most functions were just auxiliary features; having them or not didn’t hinder normal use.

Therefore, Zhang Yi only tested its most important capabilities.

First, flight.

Zhang Yi took thorough safety precautions. [All Things Follow Traces] allowed him to escape the instant he detected the armor losing control.

Thus, there was no need to worry about anything.

He pushed the speed to the limit in one go, shooting straight into the sky.

Two trails of blue flame followed behind him. The flight speed surpassed that of the latest modern fighter jets.

Flying at such speed was truly exhilarating. Strictly speaking, Zhang Yi hadn’t experienced high-speed flight much before.

He had always relied on direct spatial traversal.

So this time, he genuinely felt the thrilling sensation of wind forming terrifying sonic booms behind him.

The people in the Shelter watched him from afar, seeing Zhang Yi darting up and down in the air, conducting irregular multi-directional tests.

The flight capability didn’t disappoint Zhang Yi—it was indeed perfect.

And the energy supply issue was solved simply by replacing the [Yuan] energy blocks.

As for the intelligent combat system, it wasn’t much different from the Smart System of the combat suits.

Lu Keran specialized in machinery; the military’s systems were more advanced in terms of Smart Systems.

And what Zhang Yi used was personally designed by Yang Xinxin—a modified version of the military combat system, yet another independent iteration.

So there was basically no need to worry about this armor’s Smart System being hacked by others.

The weapon systems, like the Thunderbolt and White Owl that Zhang Yi used, were top-tier energy storage weapons, requiring no further explanation.

In terms of defensive power, it was forged entirely from the latest Yi Metal, making it trustworthy as well.

But what surprised Zhang Yi the most was its flexibility. There was absolutely no cumbersome feeling of piloting a mech—no wonder it was called an exoskeleton mech.

Zhang Yi drew the Sacred Executioner horizontal sword, executing sword techniques. The horizontal sword cut through the air with a fierce whistling sound.

Elbows, shoulders, knees, ankles, hips—every joint moved freely and smoothly, ensuring close combat wouldn’t be affected.

This mech suit could only be described with two words—perfect!
