Ice Age Apocalypse: I Hoard Billions of Supplies

The Hidden Dragon armor underwent Zhang Yi’s testing, and the results left him extremely satisfied.

Thanks to the exoskeleton’s assistance, his strength and speed could be further enhanced during close-quarters combat.

According to Zhang Yi’s own estimation, this suit of armor’s boost could increase his superhuman ability index by at least 500 points.

This might not seem like much, but it was incredibly important because it greatly enhanced Zhang Yi’s survivability and became a reliable trump card for him.

For example, if he were fighting someone and they both reached the end of their rope, on the verge of complete exhaustion, this suit of armor would allow him to possess squad leader level combat power for a short time.

It would be of great use at critical moments, and on ordinary days, it was essentially a super-enhanced version of combat suits, simply perfect.

Zhang Yi, holding Holy Judgment, skimmed across the Egret River. With a swing of his right hand forward, without using any superhuman ability, relying purely on the mech’s power and Holy Judgment’s sharpness, he directly cut a trench half a meter deep and hundreds of meters long into the ice surface!

”Really good.”

Zhang Yi landed by the Egret River, looking very satisfied at his new equipment as he nodded with a smile.

”Ribbit!”

Frog pushed a large hole through the ice from below, crawled out, blinked its big round eyes, and looked at Zhang Yi.

Having been woken up from a good sleep, it was very puzzled.

Hearing the sound, Zhang Yi turned his head to look at it, then opened his face shield.

”Sorry, sorry, did I wake you up?”

Seeing that the person was actually Zhang Yi, Frog excitedly hopped over.

Looking at the mech on Zhang Yi, stars practically shone in its eyes as it excitedly rubbed its hands together.

”Wow! It’s actually a mech, that’s so incredibly cool!”

After all, Frog was once human, and there’s hardly a man in this world who can resist the charm of mechs and excavators.

Seeing Frog, Zhang Yi smiled, ”This time, you’ve been asleep for quite a while again.”

Frog patted its snow-white belly, ”Sleeping is such a wonderful thing! In this life, I, Frog, love three things most: catching bugs, sleeping, and sharing beautiful music with friends!”

Hearing this, an idea suddenly popped into Zhang Yi’s mind.

”Frog, you love eating bugs so much. How would you feel about raising bugs?”

Frog’s ability seemed to have a special counter against bugs.

Although this ability seemed very weak against high-level bugs, if they trained it to become the manager of the Ground Centipede Breeding Farm, it should achieve twice the result with half the effort.

Frog’s eyes lit up, ”Will the bugs be unlimited?”

Zhang Yi twitched at the corner of his eye.

Unlimited?

Those Ground Centipede Eggs were all laid by the Broodmother after devouring a large amount of Elemental Stone ore. Their shells were all colorful, and the Ground Centipedes they hatched were also among the strongest batch.

If they let Frog eat freely... it probably couldn’t eat that much anyway.

Those things grew to at least several thousand jin each, with protein content many times that of beef.

”That can be arranged.”

Zhang Yi said.

Frog excitedly hopped in place a few times, ”Ribbit, ribbit! That would be absolutely fantastic.”

Zhang Yi brought Frog back. The family members hurried over to ask if Zhang Yi’s new armor worked well.

Zhang Yi gave a thumbs up, ”It simply couldn’t be stronger! This mech suit has me very satisfied.”

He brought Frog over and said to Zhou Ke’er, ”Ke’er, Frog will also help you manage the farm from now on.”

He whispered to Zhou Ke’er, ”If we ever leave someday, someone will need to help us watch the bugs at home. To avoid any incidents.”

If they weren’t around, these terrifying Ground Centipedes could probably unleash a horrifying disaster in the Jiangnan Region. Zhang Yi naturally had to be extremely careful.

Zhou Ke’er nodded understandingly with a smile, ”With Frog’s help, managing the farm in the future will be much simpler.”

She waved to Frog and took it to the farm to explain the knowledge of raising Ground Centipedes.

Zhang Yi came before the eagerly enthusiastic Lu Keran.

Lu Keran’s eyes were sparkling. Having his masterpiece recognized by Zhang Yi filled him with immense excitement.

That was the greatest pride of a technical expert.

”Ke Ran, thank you so much for your continuous help.”

Zhang Yi said very sincerely.

Lu Keran’s face flushed red. He clenched his fists, his palms sweating slightly from excessive excitement.

”This mech suit can only achieve its maximum effect when worn by you, brother!”

”From now on, when you, brother, roam anywhere in this world, people will see my masterpiece. That is my greatest reward!”

”So brother, I should be the one thanking you, for giving me this opportunity!”

Zhang Yi smiled slightly, ”So we’ve kind of achieved success together, right?”

Lu Keran nodded.

Zhang Yi glanced to the side. Old You and Fatty Xu were both not far away, staring at this perfect exoskeleton mech suit on him, their eyes shining with more excitement than if they had seen a top-tier beauty.

What Old You saw was a powerful weapon to enhance combat power.

What Fatty Xu saw was a giant Gundam figurine.

Zhang Yi then said to Lu Keran, ”Can this type of armor be mass-produced?”

Lu Keran had long known Zhang Yi would ask this kind of question.

He replied, ”Given enough materials and time, I could replicate another set in a month. However, this suit of armor was tailor-made for you, brother. It wouldn’t suit others.”

For example, the armor crafted for Old You.

Weaponry would definitely be the most important aspect, because Old You’s attack methods were singular, lacking long-range output capability.

As for what to craft for Fatty Xu... forget it, just pair him with some random weapons, and focus on enhancing load-bearing capacity and escape ability.

After all, during combat, it would be good enough if Fatty Xu could run far away and release skills for crowd control.

Zhang Yi rubbed his nose, ”That’s true.”

Mass production didn’t make much sense, since every superhuman’s abilities were different.

Moreover, Lu Keran also needed to expend a great deal of energy and superhuman ability to craft armor.

”If possible, still craft a set for everyone. They don’t need to be too powerful. As before, prioritize survival and escape capabilities.”

Lu Keran nodded with a smile, ”I’ve already considered that point. When crafting the Hidden Dragon, there were over a dozen experimental units. Although their performance isn’t as good as the Hidden Dragon’s, they’re still decent for self-defense.”

”I’ll modify them, and they can be used by everyone later.”

Zhang Yi looked at Lu Keran curiously, ”What about you yourself?”

Lu Keran clasped his hands behind his back, mysteriously smiling and shaking his head, ”I’ll make do with something simpler.”

Zhang Yi’s gaze immediately turned suspicious.

”Is it some kind of super secret weapon?”

Lu Keran pushed him, ”You’ll find out later! But mine can’t be shown to you for now, because it’s not finished. And that one of mine, only I can pilot it.”
