Ice Age Apocalypse: I Hoard Billions of Supplies

Taking advantage of the Ground Centipede’s unsteady posture, Liang Yue didn’t hesitate, charging at it with her long sword in hand.

Once the Ground Centipede’s massive body lost its center of gravity, it was extremely difficult for it to recover mid-air.

It desperately twisted its body, trying to use its limbs to grab onto the nearby rock walls.

But along with its fall came a large amount of shattered rocks from the explosion, so all it managed to grab were loose rubble.

Seizing the opportunity, Liang Yue leaped down. With its defenses wide open, she drove her sword straight through its chest in a single, piercing strike!

Even a body as tough as steel couldn’t withstand Liang Yue’s fully powered, premeditated slash.

”Screeeech—”

The Ground Centipede let out a pained, mournful cry. With a furious effort, it twisted its body, knocking Liang Yue away. It then latched onto a protruding section of the rock wall before rapidly crawling into a nearby cave.

Liang Yue hadn’t expected this Ground Centipede’s vitality to be so tenacious!

That last strike had already opened a hole the size of a person in its chest. By human proportions, that was equivalent to a fist-sized hole in the chest.

Yet it still had the strength to move!

Precisely because of this, Liang Yue’s gaze grew even sharper. This Ground Centipede’s origin energy was definitely very strong. While not on par with the monster Hua Hua had killed, it still reached squad leader level.

She absolutely would not let it escape!

Liang Yue, holding Dragon’s Roar, headed straight for that cave.

Countless Ground Centipedes crawled over from all directions along the rock walls, eyeing Liang Yue covetously, their ”chittering” cries issuing threats towards her.

These twisted, giant insects looked exceptionally terrifying, but once Liang Yue’s fighting spirit was ignited, she feared nothing.

These small fry, she didn’t even put them in her eyes!

”Whoosh!” ”Whoosh!” ”Whoosh!”

Blue energy transformed into the sharpest blade radiance, directly and neatly slicing apart all the Ground Centipedes blocking her path. Those massive Ground Centipedes shattered into piece after piece, plummeting into the abyss.

Liang Yue charged into the tunnel. The Smart System of her combat suit would help her track that Ground Centipede based on blood residue in the air.

Old You, not far away, saw this scene and shouted anxiously, ”Teacher Liang, don’t pursue a desperate foe!”

But the battle here was too chaotic, and signals deep underground were affected by various factors, making it impossible to effectively relay the message for the moment.

He could only watch helplessly as Liang Yue chased after that severely wounded Ground Centipede.

Fatty Xu, holding two submachine guns in his hands, was already killing with such fervor that his eyes were practically glowing.

The powerful Ground Centipedes had already been dealt with by Hua Hua and Liang Yue earlier. The ones around now were all small fry, and he and Old You were responsible for cleaning them up.

Therefore, they hadn’t encountered too much trouble.

”Feels like fighting in an arcade game, pretty good actually!”

Old You shot him a glance. ”Now Teacher Liang has gone chasing after the Ground Centipede. We should go support her!”

Hearing this, Fatty Xu instinctively looked into the distance, the direction Liang Yue had left.

On the rock walls, Ground Centipedes were densely packed. The smallest were seven or eight meters long, and there were even monsters tens of meters long!

He gulped. ”This... isn’t something we can handle, right?”

Old You was also getting a headache.

Zhang Yi had said before leaving that they shouldn’t split up, because the fighting here was extremely dangerous.

Liang Yue had gotten carried away in the heat of battle, chasing her prey alone.

If they didn’t follow, what if Liang Yue encountered some danger?

But reality didn’t give Old You time to worry.

Because he soon discovered that after Liang Yue left, trouble came rushing towards them.

A large number of Ground Centipedes charged at Old You and Fatty Xu.

This momentum was completely different from the small fry they had dealt with before.

Fatty Xu’s face instantly turned pale, and he sobered up considerably.

Letting him ride on favorable conditions was fine, but making him take the lead was asking too much.

Fortunately, although Liang Yue had gone chasing the Ground Centipede, Hua Hua was still there.

It had already eaten more than half of that giant Ground Centipede with a superhuman ability index of 9800. Its injuries were slowly healing, and the aura around it grew even more menacing, making the superhumans from several major districts nearby dare not approach.

Hua Hua, of course, hadn’t forgotten Zhang Yi’s instructions. Its eyes, cold as an evil god’s, merely swept over that group of Ground Centipedes. The next moment, it opened its mouth. An atomic breath directly pierced through over a thousand meters of space, instantly blasting that group of Ground Centipedes into smithereens!

Fatty Xu excitedly clapped his hands. ”Brilliant, brilliant!”

Hua Hua glanced at him sideways with its eyes.

”Woo—”

Although it didn’t speak, the meaning was all in its gaze.

You blockhead, utterly useless.

Fatty Xu scratched his head somewhat awkwardly. ”It’s not that I’m weak, it’s that my teammates are too strong, not giving me a chance to act!”

Hua Hua snorted a puff of hot air from its nostrils, nearly blowing Fatty Xu away.

Its gaze turned towards the distant direction Liang Yue had left, its brow slightly furrowed.

But right now, it couldn’t go help Liang Yue, because Ground Centipedes were still emerging endlessly from the surroundings.

If it left, a gap would appear in this direction, and the superhumans from other major districts would surely suffer heavy casualties.

Thinking of Liang Yue’s strength, it decided to let Liang Yue handle the problem over there herself.

So, with a furious roar, Hua Hua pounced once more towards a newly emerged, bizarrely twisted Ground Centipede crawling out from underground.

...

In the tunnel, Liang Yue moved like a Snow Fox, crouching low as she swiftly gave chase.

The combat suit provided lighting equipment, offering her limited-range illumination.

The blood trail left on the ground became the best signpost.

During the pursuit, with just herself and her sword, she slaughtered countless monsters blocking her path.

These giant Ground Centipedes clearly held special status within the Ground Centipede kingdom, as no second Ground Centipede of squad leader level or above appeared.

Liang Yue advanced unhindered, killing them as easily as cutting melons and vegetables. She finally caught up to that Ground Centipede with the pierced chest.

Its core was already damaged. The huge hole in its chest gushed green blood like a spring.

After being caught by Liang Yue, it angrily tried to turn and counterattack. But Liang Yue skillfully dodged its death throes, circled to its back, and delivered the final blow!

”Boom!!”

The massive body crashed to the ground. It was completely dead.

A gratified smile appeared on Liang Yue’s face. Holding Dragon’s Roar, she walked over and began digging out the core from its body.

But before she could even dig halfway, a dangerous aura emanated from one of the cave’s exits.

A martial artist’s intuition far surpasses that of ordinary people. Her sixth sense allowed her to perceive something called ”killing intent.”

Without hesitation, she raised the long sword in her hand, pointing it in that direction.

”Who’s there!”

It wasn’t a Ground Centipede coming, because the movement was too light, so light there wasn’t even the sound of footsteps in the air.

As Liang Yue’s voice fell, three clapping sounds came from the direction her blade pointed.

”Clap! Clap! Clap!”

The tall and slender Cheng Lanlan walked out from a cave entrance. Her eyes held a chilling glint that sent shivers down one’s spine as she stared at Liang Yue with a smile.

”Good intuition.”
