Ice Age Apocalypse: I Hoard Billions of Supplies

Zhang Yi passed through the network of energy cannon fire and arrived before Zong Yue and the others.

”Someone needs to hold these things off while I take Gouchen and another person to kill the King Worm. That’s the safest plan right now.”

Two against one would certainly win, but three against one is the most secure.

After all, this is underground, and the situation in the underground world is currently unclear. Zhang Yi wouldn’t take unnecessary risks.

Zong Yue said, ”Let me stay and hold them off! The three of you go kill the King Worm!”

Zong Yue’s defensive capability was second only to Zhang Yi’s. Having him deal with the Human-Faced Spider swarm here was undoubtedly the best choice.

”We’ll solve the problem as quickly as possible, then fight our way back! But, you need to be mentally prepared.”

Zhang Yi looked deeply at Zong Yue.

However, Han Shanzuo said, ”No, I’ll stay with Zhen Yuanzi! It’s too dangerous for him to stay here alone.”

These Human-Faced Spiders were indeed very troublesome, but their strength was, at most, high-level Delta.

Yet, why did the King Worm show such a wary attitude towards them?

This meant that this place definitely harbored even more troublesome monsters.

Zhang Yi said, ”Then let’s leave! Otherwise, it will be extremely difficult for Gouchen and me to quickly kill the King Worm.”

Even though one of the King Worm’s clones had been slain, the remaining body still possessed considerable formidable power.

Deep underground like this, killing it wouldn’t be that easy.

They had to execute the previous tactic, deploying three people to quickly resolve the trouble.

Otherwise, relying solely on him and Li Changgong, even if they succeeded, it would require expending a great deal of time and energy, and the possibility of failure couldn’t be ruled out.

A faint smile appeared on Zong Yue’s face, his resolute expression showing no trace of fear.

”Always hesitating and looking back and forth will only leave endless trouble.”

”The King Worm must be killed! Leave this place to me, the three of you go!”

Han Shanzuo looked deeply at Zong Yue, then nodded.

”Alright.”

Time waited for no one. The four quickly concluded their discussion. Then, Zhang Yi immediately opened a Dimensional Gate, taking Li Changgong and Han Shanzuo with him as they flew out of the Human-Faced Spider encirclement.

No matter how numerous the enemies were, they couldn’t stop Zhang Yi’s footsteps.

When it came to survival ability, if Zhang Yi ranked second, no one could rank first.

After they left, Zong Yue let out a terrifying roar from his throat.

”Ah!!!!!!!!”

A powerful supernatural ability erupted violently from his body. Centered on him, it transformed into surging shockwaves that directly blasted away all the Human-Faced Spiders within several thousand meters around him!

He stood upon the earth, his body completely enveloped by a thick layer of yellow supernatural energy.

The condensed supernatural energy transformed into armor and weapons around his body.

Clad in heavy armor, his left hand gripped a man-sized heavy shield, his right hand held a massive drum-shaped golden warhammer. His stature wasn’t tall, yet he stood like an impregnable fortress.

”Come on.”

He opened his eyes, his gaze as calm and unfathomable as an ancient well, and spoke softly.

All around were densely packed white Human-Faced Spiders. They piled up layer upon layer, actually forming a circular high wall like an arena.

Countless Human-Faced Spiders scrambled over each other, leaping towards Zong Yue.

Zong Yue shook his thick right wrist. The massive hammer, heavier than his own body, whistled through the air as he wielded it.

He swung his wrist, and with one hammer blow, he sent the Human-Faced Spider pouncing at him flying away like a baseball.

”Boom!” ”Boom!” ”Boom!”

Zong Yue’s fighting style appeared very simple and ancient, yet it was filled with a violent beauty. One after another, Human-Faced Spiders were smashed to pulp by his hammer and sent flying violently.

But the number of Human-Faced Spiders was too great. After confirming they couldn’t catch up to Zhang Yi’s trio, all the spiders from all directions surged towards that tall arena, leaping towards Zong Yue in the center.

...

Meanwhile, Zhang Yi, with Han Shanzuo and Li Changgong in tow, headed straight for the fleeing King Worm.

They knew they had to hurry; delays could lead to unforeseen changes.

Moreover, even Zong Yue couldn’t hold out for too long against such a massive tide of Human-Faced Spiders.

The King Worm detected the pursuit of Zhang Yi’s trio. It let out a threatening and furious roar from its mouth, then turned and fired an energy cannon blast!

But it was no longer in its peak state. Zhang Yi blocked this attack without much difficulty.

No matter how fast it ran, it couldn’t outrun Zhang Yi and Li Changgong, who could teleport.

A dozen or so seconds later, Zhang Yi’s trio caught up to the King Worm.

Han Shanzuo’s massive body emitted a sharp crow’s cry. The power of Omen of Calamity bound the King Worm, making it feel as uncomfortable as if trapped in a swamp.

Meanwhile, Li Changgong gripped his Long Sword tightly in his right hand. ”Chaos, send me over!”

After several collaborations, they no longer needed excessive words between them; they already understood how to cooperate to hunt the King Worm.

Zhang Yi opened a Dimensional Gate. Li Changgong directly used it to close the distance, then used No Distance Within the Six Realms to get even closer.

Nothing could stop this sword strike; it was destined to sever the King Worm’s body!

The King Worm seemed to know that, in its current state, it couldn’t possibly fight the three before it.

As if making some tragic, resolute decision, it let out a mournful, piercing scream, then threw its head back.

Everyone thought it was about to fight desperately. Even Li Changgong grew more serious.

But right under everyone’s watchful eyes, it suddenly changed direction, swimming towards that massive formation composed of black-purple crystals!

As one, the three looked in the direction the King Worm was heading: precisely that enormous and bizarre purple crystal pyramid.

Seeing it from mid-air earlier hadn’t made it seem particularly special.

However, looking at it from ground level now, they realized just how massive it was.

Even the largest pyramid discovered in human history was less than half its height.

It was at least a thousand meters tall, standing like a colossal mountain peak at the center of the formation.

The black-purple, regularly shaped crystals had surfaces as smooth as mirrors. Streams of purple electric arcs flowed from the entire formation, converging at the apex.

The King Worm’s hundreds of limbs climbed frantically, and it soon reached the base of the pyramid.

Zhang Yi’s brows furrowed. ”Its target is something on top of the pyramid!”

Li Changgong said, ”Although I don’t know what that thing is, we absolutely cannot let it obtain it! It might be related to its rapid increase in power.”

The three looked at each other, their eyes filled with profound meaning.

Although they didn’t understand what it was, it definitely felt like something powerful.

If it was something that could enhance the King Worm’s power, why couldn’t it enhance theirs?

”I won’t just stand by and watch it take that thing!”

Suddenly, the Compound Bow appeared in Zhang Yi’s left hand. It had already been modified by Lu Keran and now had a deep, dark silver hue all over.

He took an arrow from his right hand and nocked it on the bowstring.

Then, he slowly drew the bow. Behind him, an incredibly massive black hole gradually formed. The void energy around the black hole swirled, and strands of terrifying Void Power spread up his arm like tentacles.

The arrow aimed at the King Worm desperately climbing the pyramid. ”Whoosh!” A massive, pitch-black war halberd pierced through space, leaving a long trail in the void, arriving behind the King Worm in an instant!
