Dragon Monarch System

Chapter 935:- Second Stage of the Trial [II]; End

Aditya avoided the attack by teleporting behind the air lashes and just in front of Kael.

Aditya created a crimson ball in his palm and tried to attack him again. Still, this time, just as his Crimson Sphere hit his opponent, Aditya thought the attack had landed, only to find another Kael appearing and attacking him.

His attack had hit his afterimage.

ʼWhat?ʼ At the same time, he felt the changes in the fabric of space around him.

It was the same as before.

He couldnʼt fly.

He couldnʼt teleport.

It was like he was stuck, but not completely.

The moment Aditya was distracted by the changes in the fabric of space around him.

That microsecond of distraction was enough for Kael to drive his Katana inside Adityaʼs stomach.

Aditya watched the tip of the Katana get very close to his stomach.

ʼWithout teleportation, even with my full speed, I wonʼt be able to dodge this attack in time.ʼ Aditya moved his body just enough so that the Katana wouldnʼt pierce his heart.

The Katana managed to get through his already damaged armour and pierced the part that was a few inches below his heart.

Schtk!!

The tip of the katana emerged from Adityaʼs back.

A trial of golden blood came out from the left corner of his mouth and rolled down his chin.

Aditya watched as his health points began to drop rapidly.

Kael did not stop there.

With a massive hole in his chest, he knew that his time was very limited. In a few more minutes, he wouldnʼt be able to move. The chest has one of the most important functions of the body, without which it wouldnʼt be able to function. He was already running on a backup system.

But this was just a backup and wasnʼt meant to last long.

Since he had missed the heart, he created an earth spear on his left palm and aimed to strike Adityaʼs heart this time. This time, he did not intend to miss.

But as he was trying to gather Mana on his left palm, he felt difficulty and resistance in gathering Mana. But he was able to still gather Mana to form the spear. But as he went to strike Adityaʼs heart with it, suddenly, he lost all control of his left arm.

He looked at his left arm and noticed that it was just dangling there.

The spear that he was holding had fallen to the earth.

Aditya also noticed what happened with his left arm.

Crack...!!!

He felt someone grab his right arm, which was still holding the handle of the Katana.

Hearing the sound of Lightning close to him, he looked at Aditya only to find his mouth wide open. On his mouth, there was a big orb of Crimson flame, and lightning was flickering around it.

ROAR.....!!!!!

With a thunderous roar, Aditya blasted everything at Kael while holding his left arm to ensure that he couldnʼt escape.

While launching the attack, Aditya felt the space around him return to normal. He also sensed that the space a few meters behind him was changing to what he experienced just now.

Kaelʼs vision was filled with Crimson. That was the last thing he saw before he was engulfed in a Crimson flame and Crimson lightning.

Boooooom.....!!!!

Aditya managed to teleport away in time.

ʼSo this space thing isnʼt completely under his control.ʼ Now that he understood the features of this zone better, he could sense which areas of the battlefield had these small, tiny zones where teleporting or flying was impossible.

He came to the conclusion that this wasnʼt under Kaelʼs control by the fact that these zones stayed in one place for about 10 seconds before moving to another place and settling there for another 10 seconds, and the process kept repeating. He could feel these zones moving in a random and unpredictable pattern.

ʼNow whatʼs with the afterimages?ʼ Aditya thought as he waited for the smoke and debris to settle or disperse.

ʼCalling it afterimages would be wrong, as this isnʼt how afterimages form. It was more like an illusion of himself made of Air. But he does this illusion so well that he can even fool a sensory cultivator as the illusion even mirrors his body temperature and Mana Signature.ʼ When it happened, even Aditya was left confused for a micro-moment.

Meanwhile, as the smoke and dust dispersed, Aditya found Kael on his knees. His entire body had been very badly burned.

His skin was completely burned.

Even the metal body had burned black.

ʼI guess this is it for me.ʼ Kael left no physical pain.

He looked at his body and realised that this was the first time he had been injured to this degree. Before this, he always dominated his opponents using invisible compressed air slashes and the Space Lock Zones.

But against Aditya, this was different. Even while getting injured and hurt by his moves, he still managed to leave him seriously wounded.

”Time to go all out.”

[Fury Bloom: Edge of Silence]

Aditya saw Kaelʼs Aura suddenly flaring and becoming violent.

What this skill did was burn everything that Kael had left in time for 15 seconds.

This will be the final dance before he loses control of everything and dies forever.

ʼHe is going all out!ʼ Aditya did not waste time and created hundreds of Compressed Crimson bullets and surrounded himself with them.

Since Kael was going all out, he had no other choice but to do this.

For Aditya, this was a good thing.

Normally, when his opponent does something like this, he would also go all out against them. This is to honour their sacrifice and give a good ending to the battle. But here things were different.

Aditya had other battles to fight. And the time that he would be given for recovery wouldnʼt be that much.

For these reasons, he had no reason to fight Kael head-on.

ʼFor now, I will stay on the defensive side.ʼ Another reason for doing this is that he hadnʼt figured out all of Kaelʼs Afterimage, or whatever that move was called, worked. He had no counter against this move.

And it was just as Aditya had expected.

Thousands of invisible compressed air slashes came at him from all sides.

Kael also charged at him at full speed.

Before any of the compressed air slashes could hit him, he disappeared. He reappeared on the other side of the battlefield, which was almost 6000 meters away from Kael.

ʼSorry, but I have much more important priorities.ʼ Aditya couldnʼt forget that he was already badly injured. He did not want to worsen his injuries or get new injuries. The more injuries he had, the longer it would take for the healing pills to heal him.

And with the limited time that he will be allowed between each stage, if he were too injured, then he might head into the 3rd stage with too many injuries.

This means he wonʼt be able to fight at his best.

For the next 15 seconds, Kael chased after his opponent and also tried using all the compressed air slashes around the battlefield, and even some other long-range attacks. But no matter what he did, nothing hit his opponent, and soon 15 seconds passed.

[15...!!]

The moment the 15th second passed, Kaelʼs eyes lost colour. Any remaining flickering Mana in him disappeared.

Kael dropped to the ground.

ʼFighting you was very annoying.ʼ Especially, the invisible compressed air slashes were too lethal.

ʼBut I have won.ʼ Aditya knew that this wasnʼt a noble way of getting his second win. But he couldnʼt risk getting more injuries.

Aditya looked down and saw the Katana.

”Itʼs a Peak 5-star weapon. It would be a shame if I did not use this sword.” Adityaʼs own sword was a gift that he received on his birthday, and it was a Peak 4-star sword. So, going against strong cultivators, he really felt the need for a 5-star weapon.

『Raiketsu』

『Rank - Peak 5 Star (☆☆☆☆☆)』

『Description - Locked』

『Function 1 - Locked』

『Function 2 - Locked』

『Function 3 - Locked』

Seeing this, Aditya was confused.

ʼWhy is everything locked?ʼ

ʼIs it because a high-star rune master made it usable for only one user?ʼ The Black sword that Aditya previously used also had the same feature.

[Just like a thousand other weapons, this weapon is also sealed. This means, to use the full extent of this sword, you must remove the seal.]

The other party assumed Aditya was wondering why the Katana felt strange, so he answered. He did not know that Aditya could see information about this Katana.

Aditya did not look for the source of the voice. He took out several different kinds of potions and pills and began consuming them. He needed to recover his Stamina and Mana. He needed to heal his injuries.

The time he had was limited.

Really, thank you very much to all those who sent support with valuable golden tickets and gifts. I hope we can keep it up!!!

Raiketsu means Lightning Blood.
