Dragon Monarch System

Chapter 934:- Second Stage of the Trial [II]; Double

ʼI have to find out how this ability works; otherwise, I wonʼt be able to win this battle.ʼ These two abilities made Kael extremely unpredictable and also opened the door for hundreds of new tactics when used with other passive and innate skills.

The Hidden Sword Slashes left no Mana trace, so no sensory cultivator could sense where the sword slashes were hidden. The same could be said for his second ability, which can lock a cultivator and prevent them from flying, teleporting, and who knows what else may be restricted.

ʼThe true extent of this ability is not unknown.ʼ

Only someone with high Space Affinity can sense and feel these two abilities. And that was also very limited.

ʼIn summary, right now, I need time to get a better understanding of these two abilities; otherwise, I wonʼt have a plan against him. And charging recklessly will only leave me with more wounds.ʼ But the problem with this tactic was that Aditya was already seriously injured.

ʼI guess, I have no choice but to use the second ability of my passive skill, Starlight Recovery .ʼ Aditya very rarely used this skill. But now he needed to be healed so that he could continue and win not just the Stage but also the other four stages.

『Ding! The Second Ability of Passive Skill Starlight Recovery has been activated. [1+] Stamina Point can be converted into [1+] health point.』

『Ding! [100+] Stamina Points have been converted into [100+] Health Points.』

『Ding! 100+ Stamina Points have been converted into [100+] Health Points.』

『Ding! 100+ Stamina Points have been converted into [100+] Health Points.』

『Ding! [50+] Stamina Points have been converted into [50+] Health Points.』

Finally, the bleeding stopped. Although the wounds had not fully healed, they had healed enough for him to continue this battle without pain affecting his mind or losing blood.

ʼUnfortunately, I cannot summon Storm in this tight space. The Passive boosts in stats that I would have received just from Summoning Storm would have made me even stronger.ʼ

Aditya summoned the system status and looked at his own stats.

Compared to when he started, he had come a long way.

ʼI have one chance. I cannot waste this chance.ʼ The problem was that most of his powerful skills were locked with a cooldown timer. So he wanted to save his strongest skills for the higher Stages as he knew the opponents in those stages would be even tougher. This made him reluctant to use any of his decisive and strong attacks.

But now he had a plan and one chance.

Kael waited for Aditya to attack. But seeing that his opponent wasnʼt attacking, he decided to take the initiative now.

Once again, he tapped the yellow handle of the Katana with his thumb finger.

Aditya saw it and knew what was about to come.

This time, he closed his eyes.

Seeing this, Kael became interested. He stopped to observe what he was about to do. Among all of his opponents, Aditya was the most interesting and promising one.

This time, nearly one hundred Hidden or Invisible Sword slashes made from compressed air were fired at him from all directions. But before the compressed Air slashes to hit Aditya like before, a wall of Crimson Flame rose from the ground, protecting him from all directions.

The compressed air slashes hit the walls of Crimson Flame.

Then this same Wall of Crimson Flame morphed itself into the shape of a huge Tiger and began heading towards Kael.

Kael casually horizontally swung his katana, which released a green compressed air slash that tore the 5-meter-long tiger made up of crimson flame.

But Aditya wasnʼt done.

Just when the Crimson Tiger was horizontally cut in half, the crimson flames of that suddenly began taking another shape. This time, the flame split into 10 parts, and each part took the shape of a sphere. At the same time, each sphere grew in size, and now each of them was as big as an elephant.

Crimson Spheres began rotating around Aditya at full speed. At the same time, the spheres were spinning. While rotating and spinning, the size of each crimson sphere began to shrink. But Kael felt the power within each Sphere was rapidly rising. Aditya was supplying each sphere with a lot of his Mana.

At the end, each Sphere had shrunken to the size of a human eye and was floating behind Aditya.

Swoosh!!

He teleported and appeared behind Kael just like before.

Just then, hundreds of invisible compressed air slashes attacked him from all sides. Meanwhile, he did not stop.

Four of the compressed Crimson Spheres suddenly expanded in size and coated themselves around Aditya like full-body armour. With three layers of defensive protection, even hundreds of invisible compressed air slashes fell short and could do no harm to the Dragon King.

Meanwhile, the remaining six Compressed crimson spheres gathered before his right palm. At the very last second, just before being hit, compressed Crimson spheres merged into one palm-sized Compressed Crimson Sphere.

Bang...!!!

Kael could not avoid the attack. His invisible compressed air slashes had failed.

The attack carried raw power and the searing heat of crimson flames. It tore straight through his chest and left a wide, gaping hole. But it didnʼt end there. The flames continued to pour out from the hole, bursting forward as if they refused to stop, as if the fire itself was too angry to stay contained.

Aditya stared at the massive hole that allowed him to see the other side of the battlefield. On the edges of the hole, he could see many high-level rune scriptures and metals that he had never seen before.

This one second confirms that his opponent was not a living being.

He was very surprised by the whole outcome.

He had created the compressed crimson bullets to act as a barrier to the invisible compressed air slashes that seemed to be spread all over the battlefield. Since he could sense the Air Slashes only when they appeared within a half-metre radius of him, the compressed crimson bullets would be the perfect counter against them. Since the bullets should stay around him all the time, he can manipulate them whenever he wants without losing his focus on his opponent. In this way, even if his opponent wants to use the air Slashes as a distraction or diversion, Aditya wonʼt be caught off guard.

Aditya wasnʼt expecting to land a clean hit in this attempt. His goal was to get close to his opponent with the protection of the compressed crimson spheres or bullets and see how his second ability, which had previously locked him down and prevented him from flying or teleporting, worked. He also wanted to confirm whether his opponent controlled the second ability or if it was something set in this battlefield by the administrator against the challenger.

In short, this whole approach was to learn more about his powers while staying cautious.

ʼIf I had known that this was gonna work, then I would have gone with that move.ʼ That move would have destroyed Kael, leaving no trace of him.

ʼIs it over?ʼ Aditya asked himself while staring at Kael, who had not moved since taking that attack.

But Kael just turned around and looked at him. ”I must say I am impressed by how you used your powers to not only shield yourself against my invisible attacks but also use them to leave me in this state.”

But there was no emotion in his voice or his face. His face was still expressionless. It was almost like talking to a dead man.

His eyes would make anyone uncomfortable to look at because of how dead and emotionless they looked.

”I thought the battle was over.” Aditya felt that it would be better to retreat. So, he immediately teleported himself approximately 500 meters away from his opponent.

ʼIf this were a living being, it would have ended this battle. But since he is an artificial being, I guess I have to completely destroy him.ʼ Aditya thought to himself while staring at Kael.

”The battle has only begun.”

”To advance to the next Stage, you must completely destroy me.” Suddenly, Kael began charging towards Aditya.

Even with the huge hole that covered almost his chest and stomach, Kael was still very sharp and agile. It was like the whole thing on his chest did not exist, or it did not affect him in any way.

With multiple swings of his Katana, he sent multiple green compressed air slashes at Aditya.

Aditya avoided them altogether by teleporting behind the air lashes and just in front of Kael.

Aditya created a crimson ball in his palm and tried to attack him again but this time just when his Crimson Sphere hit his opponent and Aditya thought that the attack had landed, another Kael appeared and attacked him.
