Dragon Monarch System

Chapter 908:- Tunnel World; Twilith City

Beyond the portal, it was a different place.

To Aditya and Laura, it felt like both of them had stepped into another world.

Not only had the view of the surroundings changed, but also the atmosphere felt slightly different from the six continents.

As they observed these changes along with hundreds of others who were also new visitors, they suddenly realised why the Tunnel was also called the Foreign World by many cultivators.

The most obvious and eye-catching change was the seemingly endless sea of white sand. There were countless sand dunes.

The White Sands stretched as far as they could see.

”This is the Tunnel World!” But nothing here made her feel like she was inside a tunnel.

”I am almost starting to doubt if this is really a tunnel or something else.” Describing this place as another world could be more accurate.

ʼWell, this tunnel world is so massive that it has its unique atmosphere.ʼ Looking at the bright sky, Aditya could see dark and white clouds in the distance.

Although it was a tunnel, Aditya could not see any of its walls. There is a reason why this place is considered a ʼForeign Worldʼ. The Tunnel is a huge expanse of land that is unconquered and always remains very chaotic.

In truth, there are regions within the Tunnel World so perilous and untamed that even the mightiest cultivators of the Main Continent. Warriors who could split mountains and part seas, Mages who could defy the very laws of Physics, dare not tread near them, let alone pass through their cursed paths. Many factions forbade their members from ever entering these zones.

According to Amelia, the Tunnel World had an artificial Sun and Moon system. This means the people of the Tunnel World experienced day and night. But there were no seasons in this world. Life still existed in this place.

In fact, in this world, there existed some of the most unique and dangerous species known to humanity.

Just like the Pocket World that Aditya visited to rescue Rin, the Tunnel World worked on the basis of some ground laws that no one can break. Since its existence, these laws have been set up. And nowadays, these laws are considered part of the natural cycle of this world.

One of these laws was that, within the Tunnel World, no teleportation Arrays would work.

If Teleportation Arrays worked, then millions, if not billions, could simply use the teleportation arrays to teleport to the other entrance, which would lead them to the Main Continent.

Due to this law, everyone, regardless of their status and class, had to travel through the entire Tunnel physically.

”This is a Twilith City.” Laura and Aditya turned around to look at the massive city behind them.

The entrance brought them just outside a massive city. The City was behind them, so the first thing that Aditya and Laura saw was the infinite stretch of White Sand and White Sand dunes.

It wasnʼt just Aditya and Laura who stood frozen.

Every other new visitor, regardless of their status, was frozen.

No one laughed at this scene. This was because, when it was their first time, they stood there frozen just like the new visitors. The rest of the crowd simply did what they came here to do.

Some immediately stood in lines to enter the City. (Multiple lines of people had already formed, and the lines were only getting longer.)

Some individuals had VIP Tokens and were able to enter the City without waiting in line.

Some decided to walk in a direction they had in mind.

The Tunnel World is vast enough to be considered a continent in its own right. Twilith City is regarded as one of the larger and more well-known cities in this area.

The Entrance from Madriaga Island directly brought everyone just outside of Twilith City. Due to the large number of people who regularly visit, the City has grown sufficiently to accommodate everyone.

Standing among the crowd, Aditya quickly sensed a high number of 5th-order cultivators in Twilith City and its surrounding areas. Cultivatorʼs cultivation is not suppressed within the Tunnel.

ʼThere are plenty of 6th-order powerhouses in this City.ʼ However, the number of 6th-order that he could sense was less than two digits. There might have been more 6th-order cultivators in the City, but those people simply suppressed their cultivation to blend with the crowd.

ʼWe have to be careful.ʼ Their goal was to move forward as soon as possible. The quicker they reached the Main Continent, the more time they would have to search for the Goddess of Wisdom.

”Letʼs enter the City!” Agreeing with Lauraʼs suggestion, both of them stood in a line. There were at least 300+ people ahead of them.

”Are we staying here the night or...?” Laura curiously asked. She decided to follow Adityaʼs plan in this whole journey.

If needed, she could simply give suggestions or advise him.

Aditya shook his head.

”We are not here to enjoy ourselves.”

”We have to keep walking in the direction of South till we reach the Southern Gate.”

”According to Amelia, at full speed, the journey should take us 2 to 3 days to finish, maybe even faster. But it all depends on our speed.”

”There are also Large Desert Ships. But I am not too keen on using Desert Ships.”

”Why?” Laura curiously asked.

Aside from general knowledge about the Tunnel World, she knew very little. But Aditya was different. Amelia had told him a lot of things about the Tunnel World as she was a regular traveller.

”Well, first of all, I believe if we travelled on our own, we would travel much faster. Additionally, there is a place I want to visit, so we will have to take a detour. I hope you wonʼt mind, as I did not consult you before making this decision.”

Laura shook her head with a smile. ”Why would I mind?”

”Can I know what you want to do there?”

”I am going there to get myself a powerful weapon.” Without a weapon, Adityaʼs combat abilities have been reduced. The Peak 4th-order sword that he currently has simply did not have the durability and sharpness that he desired from his sword. As a result, he very rarely used his Peak 4th-order sword.

”Are you talking about Mount Soulripper?” Mount Soulripper was a very famous landmark of the Tunnel World. This place was not only popular among the natives of this world but also known to the travellers from the Main Continent and the Six Continents.

”Yes!”

”But hiring a skilled blacksmith from Mount Soulripper would cost you a fortune.” Mount Soulripper was controlled by a clan of Dwarves who had lived at the base of the mountain for many generations.

The weapons made by skilled blacksmiths from this dwarven family are top-notch. Their weapons are so popular that people from all three worlds (the main continent, the six continents, and the Tunnel World) come here.

”I am prepared to pay the cost. As long as I can get a new Peak 5th-order weapon.” Aditya knew that continuing this journey without a weapon would be extremely dangerous, not only to him but also for Laura.

With Laura, he could go all out and even fight against 6th-order cultivators.

But with a 4th-order sword, the sword itself wouldnʼt be able to last the whole battle.

While talking, both of them finally managed to enter Twilith City. The interior of the City, compared to what they were used to seeing, was very bland and dry.

There was a lack of colour, and it very quickly became apparent to them.

The architecture of this city is very boring. This is not only because of the boring colour but also due to a lack of creativity.

Every building and structure in the city was either white or yellowish white. The streets were covered with a faint layer of white sand. White Sands seems to be everywhere.

”First thing, I gotta do is get currency of the Tunnel World.” The Tunnel World and the people from the Main Continent used a different currency.

This did not mean gold coins were useless in the main Continent or in the Tunnel World. But there was a currency that existed even beyond the Royal Gold coin, and this was the Platinum Coin.

One Platinum coin was 100 Royal Gold coins.

The Whole City was huge. There were easily over a million people living in this city.

One thing that particularly stood out was the number of hotels.

There were hotels and inns almost everywhere.

Everywhere Aditya and Laura looked, they could see an Inn or Hotel.

After asking directions, they soon arrived in front of a store. It was a large store made from wood and glass.

The transparent glass walls made the store stand out. Seeing the glass, Aditya couldnʼt help but smile.

Glass had already reached some parts of the Main Continent.

As they walked in, Aditya instantly noticed the gaze of some unfriendly people who happened to be walking out of the store.

Seeing a beautiful Laura, their leader even stopped walking and just kept staring at her.

ʼTrouble!!ʼ

Ignoring them, he approached the receptionist who was talking to this group of people before they decided to leave.

”Hello! Are you here to exchange gold coins for Platinum coins?” The Succubus woman asked with a beautiful smile.

”Yeah!”

ʼSince almost all customers are men, making Succubi work as the receptionist is very effective.ʼ Looking around, he noticed that all the Succubi working in the store were really beautiful women.

”Alright! What would be the amount?”

”A lot!” Aditya took out a storage ring and handed it to her.

Her dress was very revealing.

Aditya felt tempted to look down, but he was able to resist the temptation and only look at her face, more specifically, directly at her eyes.

While Aditya was talking to the receptionist, he felt a heavy, almost suffocating pressure. Laura stood beside him, not sparing the receptionist even a glance; instead, her sharp gaze was locked onto Adityaʼs eyes. She was tracking every flicker, every shift of his eyes.

She watched him intently, almost ike a jealous girlfriend—or an even more suspicious wife—silently scrutinising his every move, as if weighing his loyalty with each passing second.

The womanʼs expression changed as she used a bit of her Mana to look inside the storage ring.

ʼThere were at least 20 million Royal Gold Coins in it.ʼ

ʼThis man is not normal.ʼ Realising this, the receptionist flashed a bright smile at Aditya.

”Sir, this is a big amount. Please give me a second so that I can call our Manager here.” Aditya nodded his head.

The woman then hurriedly climbed the stairs behind her to go to the second floor.

Meanwhile, almost all the gaze in the store was on them when she said ʼBig Amountʼ. Even other receptionists were looking at them. Some even gave him flirtatious looks.

Tct....!!!

Laura did not like this. For some reason, this bothered her, but not too much.

”All this attention could get us in trouble.” She purposely leaned against his right arm and whispered into his right ear.

But Aditya had this confident smirk on his face. ”If trouble comes, I will deal with it. I am not afraid.”

”Youʼre not scared, are you?” Aditya asked with a teasing smile.

Laura rolled her eyes.

She folded her arms under her bosom and then replied with a confident smirk. ”I may have grown weak, but this doesnʼt mean I have lost my power. I am not afraid of anyone. Not even the Dragon Monarch.”

She said while glancing outside.

But using this chance, Aditya sneakily pinched her waist.

Laura let out a tiny yelp, but it was enough for others around to briefly look at them.

”Who is scared now?” Aditya asked while laughing. Lauraʼs glare only intensified seeing him laugh.

But then, feeling an Aura of a very powerful person, Aditya stopped smiling. His expression turned serious before he turned around and looked at the stairs.

Following the receptionist, a very beautiful woman with deep orange hair walked down the stairs.

ʼSo she is the manager.ʼ Aditya felt this woman was very mysterious and also very powerful. Among all the Auras of the cultivators that he felt today since arriving in the Tunnel World, this woman had the most potent and powerful Aura of all.
