Dragon Monarch System

Chapter 933:- Second Stage of the Trial [II]; Wind Manipulation

ʼFrom facing one hundred thousand undead in each wave, now facing only one opponent. Yet somehow, this little short being makes me feel that he is more dangerous than facing 12 waves; each wave having 100,000 undead monsters.ʼ

By now, he had activated all of his passive abilities. Underestimating his opponent would be fatal and end in his defeat.

With Crimson Lightning wrapped around his body as a lightning armour, he dashed towards Kael at full pace.

Those emotionless black pupils stared at Aditya, doing nothing.

Tchk!!!

At first, he thought he was imagining hearing a very faint sound that was almost escaping his ears. But he did not stop and continued forward. But he then felt a sharp pain on his left cheek, and from the corner of his eyes, he saw drops of blood rolling down his cheek.

Seeing this, he immediately stopped.

His free palm touched his left cheek.

He felt something wet and warm.

And when he looked at the warm liquid on his palm, it was his own blood. It was Golden Blood of the Dragon Monarch.

Aditya then looked at Kael. But Kael showed no emotion. He stood in this place just like this and continued to watch Aditya with those dead eyes.

ʼBut how?ʼ But the Monarch had no time to think. The next moment, something sharp that felt like a sword attack hit the slope of the right shoulder.

Thsssh!!!

A long, deep cut appeared on the slope of the right shoulder.

ʼBut he didnʼt even move.ʼ Adityaʼs eyes were on Kael this entire time. He refused to believe that Kael was so fast that he could cover the distance of 120 meters between them and leave a scar on the slope of his right shoulder and then go back to his initial position; all this done so fast that his eyes couldnʼt see anything.

ʼIs it some kind of teleportation move?ʼ Aditya felt that there was a chance of this being the case.

ʼBut if this was the work of teleportation, then I should have felt some disturbance in the fabric of space around me. Also, even if I ignore that, why didnʼt he finish the battle in the first two strikes?ʼ

Aditya began dashing toward Kael. But this time, he didnʼt go towards him in a straight path. Rather, he teleported to switch positions all around Kael while cautiously continuing to close the distance.

When he was near, he was in front of Kael, and then he jumped with the Eclipse Blade glowing red hot. In mid-air, he once again teleported and appeared behind Kael.

But before the sword attack could hit him, something like before attacked him. This time, he saw it clearly.

It wasnʼt Kael who turned around to attack him.

It was something else. Something that even he couldnʼt understand or explain.

But the attack left a long vertical mark on his chest plate. If not for his armour, he would have been seriously injured. But he also noticed that the Crimson Warlock Set was damaged from taking this attack.

Aditya was still on air. Just before he could land on the ground, Kael gently tapped the handle of the Katana with his left thumb.

Thsssh!

Thsssh!

Thsssh! Thsssh!

Aditya landed on the ground with four new wounds on his body. One was on the slope of his left shoulder. The injury was like the one on the slope of his right shoulder.

There were two new, very deep and long cuts on his right and left biceps. The cuts almost reached his elbows. Aditya could almost see the bone of his biceps.

ʼIt hurts!ʼ He found it really hard to hold his sword. The pain was so overwhelming and sharp that holding anything in this state felt like torture, and fighting using a sword was just pure agony.

Words cannot fully express how uncomfortable and painful Aditya experienced.

Huff....!!! Huff...!!!!

Woosh!!!

This time, he felt it clearly. Just before he was hit, he felt something.

But this time, the number was way higher than before. Attacks came from all directions. And all hit him almost at the same time.

Thsssh! Thsssh! Thsssh!

When everything stopped, Kael was looking at him.

Aditya was on his two knees using the Eclipse Blade to support the weight of his body. His whole body was covered in cuts of various sizes and depths. His Crimson Warlock Set was also badly damaged, and some of the functions of the armour were no longer usable.

He had at least 20 sword wounds all over his body. Not a single limb was spared from the sword slashes.

ʼDammit! No, I understand why I was banned from using any alchemy products.ʼ Every rule in this place was there to be a disadvantage to the challenger. Even the terrain was designed in a way that it benefited his opponents, so that defeating the Boss of the Second Stage becomes even tougher.

ʼNo wonder no one was able to reach the Last Stage of this trial.ʼ

”Stay down for 20 seconds. Or just admit your defeat, and this stage will end.” Kael spoke for the first time. It was the voice without any emotion.

If he stayed down for 20 seconds, then this will automatically count as Kaelʼs victory. Since no challengers were ever killed in the trial, Kael was giving him a chance to admit defeat so that the battle could be ended without more bloodshed and risking Adityaʼs life.

”Stay down!” For some reason, this hit a nerve.

ʼHow dare an artificial being say such words to the Dragon Monarch?ʼ The temperature of Adityaʼs body began to rise. At the same time, a tiny crimson flame, about half an inch in size, started to form into small spherical or round shapes.

Aditya gritted his teeth and forced himself to stand. His body was slightly shaking from all the wounds and pain.

”I wonʼt be defeated or stopped here.”

His mind was overwhelmed by the feeling of pain. It was only through his sheer grit and determination that he was still standing and willing to continue this battle.

”Compressed Crimson Bullets!!!”

Hundreds of Compressed Crimson Bullets that were about an inch in size were fired at Kael.

Kael, in response, took a step forward and swung his katana.First, he slashed diagonally from his left shoulder down to the right. Then, without wasting a second, he swung again, this time from the right shoulder down to the left.Right after that, he slashed from left to right in a straight, horizontal swing.

Each of his slashes released a green energy blade that cut through the air with a sharp glow. The first two swings formed the sides of a triangle, and the final horizontal slash connected them at the bottom, completing the shape.

In an instant, the three energy blades converged, forming a glowing green triangle that pulsed with deadly force.

The Tri-Slash met the Compressed Crimson Bullets. When two powerful attacks collided head-on, the result was a massive explosion.

Booooooooom!!!!

Aditya did not wait. He was already moving. Right when the attacks clashed, he teleported behind Kael. In his other palm, there was a glowing Crimson sphere that was made from compressing Crimson Mana in the shape of a Crimson sphere of his palm size.

The flame Sphere was small but very powerful.

But just when he appeared behind Kael, the fabric of space around them changed. Aditya, who was flying, suddenly couldnʼt fly anymore. He awkwardly lost balance and landed on the ground.

All this left him very confused.

But Kael has the advantage of this. Without him needing to turn, multiple attacks like before hit him from all sides. While getting hit, he took a few steps and tried to move away from Kael.

Thsssh! Thsssh!

After getting hit twice, before the other attacks could hit him, Aditya teleported with everything he had. Although he could not see them, he could very well feel just how narrowly he had dodged the other invisible attacks.

Aditya teleported almost 300 meters away from Kael.

ʼThat was some kind of hidden sword slash type attack.ʼ

Thanks to having a high affinity with Space Element, Aditya could somewhat feel their location when they are close to him. But the problem was that when only the attacks were within a half-meter radius, he could sense them.

ʼI am not even sure if Kael is the one who is controlling this attack or if these hidden Sword Slashes are designed to attack the challenger whenever the challenger is vulnerable.ʼ But after replaying everything that had happened till now, Aditya was sure that Kael did this.

ʼIf this ability wasnʼt annoying enough, now he seems to have another kind of ability.ʼ

Even he wasnʼt sure what kind of ability this was. ʼBut for a second, the fabric of space had become really dense and even flying felt impossible.ʼ If he had not taken those steps while getting hit, then he might not have been able to teleport and get away in time. And this whole battle could have ended here.

ʼI have to find out how this ability works; otherwise, I wonʼt be able to win this battle.ʼ These two abilities made Kael extremely dangerous.

The Hidden Sword Slashes left no Mana trace, so no sensory cultivator could sense where the sword slashes were hidden. The same could be said for his second ability, which can lock a cultivator.

Only someone with high Space Affinity can sense and feel these two abilities. And that was also very limited.

Really, thank you very much to all those who sent support with valuable golden tickets and gifts. I hope we can keep it up!!!
