Chapter 930:- First Stage - Battle of Summons [I]

”This is it!” They stood in front of a statue.

It was a statue of a Dwarf. The most notable aspect of the statue is that it was crafted from pure platinum. The dwarf seemed to be holding a massive hammer, nearly two-thirds the size of his body.

”This is First Leader of our Clan. He is also the founder of our current home.”

”To this day, we dwarves remember him in our heart and celebrate his birthday every single year.” To the dwarves, this man was their idol. He was an idol of almost everyone within the dwarven clan.

”I donʼt want to sound rude, but how did he die?” Someone who planned all this must have been really strong and smart. But thinking that someone as brilliant and strong as him has passed away was truly shocking.

A part of him also wondered how the dwarves elders who built and ruled this place had perished.

How did this clan lose so much power?

”I understand if you donʼt want to answer.” He said, feeling that this might be sensitive to the dwarves and Lahm might not be comfortable sharing.

”Itʼs alright!”

”To be honest, so much time has passed that even as immortal cultivators, we donʼt have exact information as to how he died.”

Lahm looked at the platinum statue and continued. ”Most believe that our ancestors lived a lonely life without any spouse or children. And most of his friends and family members had died. After tens of thousands of years, finding no joy in life, he decided to take his own life and move on to the afterlife.” Taking oneʼs own life due to loneliness wasnʼt uncommon among cultivators. There are many brilliant figures who did the same.

They were so engrossed in reaching to the top that by the time they realised what mistake they had made, it was already too late. Their loved ones had died, and they were left without anyone to be with them.

Some experience something that is called a sense of detachment from everything in this life, and feel that living has no worth anymore.

”Some believe that our Ancestor Leader was killed by someone. Due to how powerful our Clan was, we had a lot of enemies from the rest of the Tunnel World and from the Main Continent.” To this day, many wanted to destroy this clan and take control of the Soulripper mountain for themselves, as this mountain is filled to the brim with rare metals that are otherwise extremely hard to find in any other part of the world.

”To be honest, no one knows the answer, and I doubt most even care enough to investigate. There have been attempts, but since the questions remained unanswered, people eventually gave up.”

”Anyways, take this token.” It was disk-shaped and was made from green Jade. The token was light and thin but very durable. There were extremely tiny carvings on the surface that even Aditya failed to read. But he was sure those were Runes.

”Insert your Mana.”

”The Jade will record your Mana signature and remember it forever. Unless you somehow manage to find a way to change your Mana signature, you wonʼt get a second chance to enter the Trial.”

Aditya did as he was told. As soon as he inserted his Mana, the Jade Token glowed.

Crack...!!!

He heard the sound of stones and rocks moving or shifting.

Following the source of the sound, he found that behind the Statue, a path had opened. The door wall had slid to the right to reveal a really dark corridor. It was so dark that he couldnʼt see anything beyond the stone wall.

”Go on!”

”With your cultivation level, things will be harder for you. But at this stage, I donʼt want to persuade you to stop as itʼs already late. So I can only wish you good luck.”

Aditya looked at Lahm and then nodded his head. ”Thank you, Lahm.”

As soon as he stepped past the stone wall, the entrance closed itself.

Everything was dark. There was no light here. Even with his enhanced vision, he could not see anything here.

Then he felt something.

ʼThe Space is distorting!ʼ The process was similar to what happened when he used Crimson Wrap Flash.

ʼBut the space-time fabric of this place no longer feels heavier or thicker.ʼ This was the case when they were travelling through the desert. The end result was that, although he could teleport, it wasnʼt as fast as before; it consumed way more Mana than it usually did.

When the lights appeared, he found himself in the middle of a battlefield. The battlefield was at least 10 km big and was in the shape of a circle. At the edge, there was nothing but stone walls.

The ceiling above him was 300 meters away from the ground. Overall, the whole space felt spacious. And the Moon stones on the ceiling and walls lit the whole place well.

ʼBut there are no exits.ʼ In fact, when he tried, he could not even sense anything beyond the walls.

[Thank you for participating in the Steel Dwarf trial.]

Aditya only heard a voice. It was the voice of an old man. It felt like the voice came from above or from all directions, making it impossible for him to figure out the source of the voice.

[Before we begin, I will go through the basic rules. If at any given second, the challenger feels that he cannot continue, then just saying ʼI Admit Defeatʼ will be enough, and the fight will be stopped, and you will be sent outside.]

[Each stage can be similar to each, but with increased difficulty, and you might encounter completely different challenges. It all depends on the challengerʼs strengths and weaknesses.]

[The First Round will begin now!] Just then, a red magic circle appeared.

Aditya took out the Eclipse Blade of Shadows, which was a Beginner 4-star that he received as a gift on his birthday. He did not underestimate his opponent and wore his full body armour.

Instead of anyone appearing from the Red Magic Circle, the circle expanded to the entire battlefield. Aditya looked down and noticed that the Circle was also beneath him.

The magic circle began glowing brighter and brighter.

Seeing this, he no longer stayed on the ground. With a powerful flap of his Crimson Dragon Wings, he flew in the air and stared at the magic circle.

[First Stage will be - Battle of Summons]

The brightness from the magic circle reached its Peak. The brightness was so overwhelming that Aditya had to shield his eyes with his arm and look away.

When the brightness dimmed, the whole battlefield was full of Undead Summons. Aditya felt as if he was back in the Scattered Zone. But here, the number of undead Summons was way higher.

Not a single meter of radius was left on the battlefield empty. The whole battlefield was filled with countless Undead. There were Undead knights wearing armour and holding various types of weapons. And there were also undead Mages. The number was split into a 60-to-40 ratio between Undead knights and mages.

Aditya also noticed a few thousand Undeads that were a mix of both.

As soon as they appeared, the undead mages began firing countless spells. The chanted attacks came at him from all sides. Because of everything, Aditya found it almost impossible to see anything beyond the attacks; he couldnʼt see most of the battlefield.

His vision was filled with countless attacks heading in his direction. It wasnʼt just one kind of attack. The attacks were a mix of everything; all elements.

Everything was just too overwhelming.

ʼI cannot see anything down there that I mean. I cannot teleport on the ground.ʼ The strength of each Undead matches his cultivation strength.

Each undead was a Peak Fourth Order cultivator.

The issue was that when nearly fifty thousand mages cast their spells simultaneously, their sheer numbers could compensate for their lower individual quality. Even Aditya wasnʼt confident about tanking everything, even with his Crimson Warlock Set.

Swoosh!!!!

He teleported to the eastern side of the Battlefield. He was still flying.

But just as he teleported, the collision of attacks from all sides created a huge explosion.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!

The shockwave was so strong that it instantly covered 10 km and sent Aditya to the day.

The shockwave hit him like a massive tsunami.

Crack...!!!

The Stone wall cracked when he crashed into it. But the cracks and any damage the wall took instantly heal.

Aditya, aware that he couldnʼt afford to wait in one spot for over fifty thousand Undead Mages to cast their spells at him, teleported to the ground.

The moment he landed, a huge, terrifying wave of Crimson Flame came out of his body and spread everywhere. At the same time, the battleground near him began to crack, and magma started violently gushing out of the cracks.
