Medical and Martial God

Chapter 324: Chapter 324 Benevolence Must Be Sharp

The middle-aged couple and the young woman were dumbfounded.

They hadn’t expected Ye Xiu to actually strike, much less so viciously, splitting the young man’s head open with a single punch.

Xia Zhiwei and the patrons at the roadside stall felt a sudden, exhilarating surge of satisfaction.

Good! People like that deserve a beating!

”Son, are you alright?” the middle-aged man finally reacted, his voice filled with concern.

The young woman and the middle-aged woman scrambled to check the young man’s head.

After all, Ye Xiu is someone who can crush a beer bottle into dust. Wouldn’t a punch like that fracture the young man’s skull?

”I’m fine!” The young man wiped the blood from his head and glared at Ye Xiu. ”You actually dared to hit me? I’ll kill you!”

With that, he swung a beer bottle at Ye Xiu’s head.

Ye Xiu casually caught it, turned the bottle around, and smashed it over the young man’s head.

”Apologize to Xia Zhiwei,” he said coldly, ”or I’ll smash your head in today.”

”Go ahead and try!” the young man spat back, still defiant.

”Oh, help! Someone, please help! He’s attacking people!” the middle-aged woman suddenly shrieked, throwing herself to the ground and rolling around as she wailed.

”He’s hitting people! Come quick, everyone, look! Someone’s trying to beat a man to death!” the young woman howled.

”Kid, let go of my son! If you don’t let him go, I’m making a call,” the middle-aged man threatened.

Ruirui burst into tears, beating on Ye Xiu’s leg. ”WAAAH! Bad man, I’ll hit you! Bad man!”

SMASH!

Ye Xiu picked up an unopened beer bottle and smashed it on the young man’s head. ”Apologize!”

”If you’ve got the guts, then kill me!” the young man roared.

”Alright then!”

Ye Xiu picked up another beer, and then another, smashing them over the young man’s head one after another.

Xia Zhiwei and all the patrons at the barbecue stall felt their scalps tingle. No one had expected Ye Xiu to be this ruthless.

The middle-aged woman stopped her hysterics.

The young woman stopped yelling.

The middle-aged man stopped making threats.

Even Ruirui was too frightened to cry.

They could only watch in horror as Ye Xiu smashed an entire case of beer over the young man’s head.

”Boss, bring ten more cases!” Ye Xiu shouted.

The young man’s family was scared witless.

Ten cases? Wouldn’t that turn his head into a smashed watermelon?

THUD!

Unable to take it anymore, the young man dropped to his knees. ”Stop, don’t hit me anymore! I was wrong! I apologize, I’m sorry, I’m so sorry...”

The middle-aged couple and the young woman also scrambled to their knees, begging for forgiveness.

”Are you apologizing to me?” Ye Xiu asked coldly.

The family quickly crawled over to Xia Zhiwei on their knees and apologized profusely.

Xia Zhiwei was at a complete loss.

”Remember this,” Ye Xiu ordered coldly. ”If you continue to raise your child this way, when he grows up, he’ll get beaten just like this—or even lose his life because of it. Now, get lost!”

The family hastily picked up Ruirui and bolted, running as fast as their legs could carry them.

Thunderous applause erupted from the crowd at the roadside stall.

In their eyes, although Ye Xiu had been a bit extreme, he had taught the family a much-needed lesson. The final words he said, in particular, might actually change the way they raised Ruirui.

”They haven’t paid their bill yet!” the barbecue stall owner said, his face looking pained.

”Put their table on my tab,” Ye Xiu said with a smile.

At that moment, Xia Zhiwei asked timidly, ”Are you always this violent? Bullying the weak by using your strength... isn’t that a major taboo for a Martial Artist?”

”Ten years ago, I was as kind as you are. Even when others bullied me relentlessly, I still felt it was wrong to use force,” Ye Xiu said to Xia Zhiwei with a serious expression. ”But during my ten years abroad, I came to understand one truth—kindness must have an edge!

”It’s wrong to bully the weak or oppress others with might, but what if you’re fighting against wicked people? Against bad people?”

Hearing Ye Xiu’s words, Xia Zhiwei fell silent.

She suddenly realized that the principles her grandfather, Xia Dehe, had taught her since childhood might not be entirely correct. In ancient times, heroes wielded their swords to fight injustice and punish evil; the same could be done today. As long as she didn’t use her power to bully good people, it was acceptable.

”You know, I find you to be a very charismatic person,” Xia Zhiwei said, looking at Ye Xiu with newfound interest after thinking things through.

”If you say so, I won’t argue,” Ye Xiu replied, taking a bite of a skewer.

Xia Zhiwei was speechless.

Heh, you really aren’t modest, are you?

Just as she was about to retort, her phone rang. It was her sister, Xia Xue, on the line.

”A gathering of the Eight Beauties of Qin Domain? Why would I go? Handsome guys? Okay, I’ll meet you there in a bit.”

When Ye Xiu heard the words ”Eight Beauties of Qin Domain,” his ears perked up. The moment Xia Zhiwei hung up, he asked, ”What gathering of the Eight Beauties of Qin Domain?”

”My sister said there’s a gathering for the Eight Beauties of Qin Domain tonight, and a lot of elite scions from Qi Yun Dao will be there. She wants me to go too. She said there will be lots of handsome guys,” Xia Zhiwei said excitedly.

”Can you take me with you?” Ye Xiu was eager to see what the legendary Eight Beauties of Qin Domain looked like.

”Sure, but they might not let you in. We can give it a try, though,” Xia Zhiwei said.

”Then let’s eat quickly so we can go,” Ye Xiu urged.

”Okay!”

At that moment, Ye Xiu received a text from Gong Jin: ”Only 10 illegitimate descendants of the Shen Family escaped tonight. Shen Wanqiu was also supposed to flee, but for some reason, she went to the gathering of the Eight Beauties of Qin Domain instead.”

Oh? That’s unexpected.

He had assumed the entire Shen Family was escaping en masse, but it turned out to be only ten illegitimate children. It seemed Shen Songshan wasn’t planning a full-scale family exodus but was merely trying to preserve ten ”seeds” for the Shen Family’s future.

He replied, ”In that case, stop toying with them. Send them straight to the City of Asura.”

Gong Jin: ”Understood!”

After their meal, Ye Xiu and Xia Zhiwei arrived at the Starlight Clubhouse.

This clubhouse was established by Ran Xingchen, one of the Eight Beauties of Qin Domain. Initially, it was meant to be their exclusive gathering place. Later, it evolved into a high-end club for the elite women of Qi Yun Dao. Eventually, the sons of wealthy families were also allowed entry, and the clubhouse transformed into a commercial venue, often hosting charity auctions, sales of luxury goods, and auctions for jade and jewelry.

In short, the Starlight Clubhouse of today had lost the purity and simplicity of its founding days.

”Zhiwei?”

Just as Ye Xiu and Xia Zhiwei reached the entrance, a gentle and tender voice called out. The sound of her voice alone was as comforting as soaking in a hot spring.

”It’s Sister Jin Lian! Long time no see. You look more enchanting than ever,” Xia Zhiwei greeted the approaching beauty cheerfully.

When Ye Xiu saw her, his eyes lit up.

A mature beauty!

Although this woman was beautiful, she couldn’t quite compare to top-tier beauties like Qin Qing, Xia Zhiwei, or Shen Monong.

However, her temperament was exceptional.

She was graceful and elegant, her every move exuding a soft tenderness. Her gentle gaze made one feel incredibly at ease. She was unlike Qin Qing, whose gentleness was underscored by a resolute, unyielding will. She did not possess Xia Zhiwei’s innocent naivete or An Dongye’s uninhibited boldness that hid a meticulous mind. Nor was she like Shen Monong, who projected a mature image while her eyes remained hollow and vacant. This woman radiated a genuine warmth and presence.
